Funny thing about that violin solo. That was the second time they played the song that nite. Somehow after playing it thousands of time, Martie forgot her part.....That is why, she and the audience shared a chuckle!

My favorite part!

I don't think the Chicks ever performed this song better than this. It's better than the studio recording. Their ability to perform live is off the charts. The rest of the band too. So much talent here. The steele playing is sooo good. Then Marties fiddle playing. No words to describe it. Then you have Natalies voice. This performance is a perfect 10 !!

You are probably right. And the Chicks could attract the best Talent. I see renown guitarists Keith Sewell, David Grisson, and Audley Freed, and others. It's curious that on their 2016 tour, the Band was half the size as in 2006. But I didn't notice any diminution of Sound Quality.

Wow... the sound of the violin was something out of this world... it was heavenly.

I always want artists to sing and play songs “live” exactly as we first heard on their recordings, that caused us to fall in love with how they performed them, and with them, and made us buy their albums and listen to them hundreds and hundreds of times. They do better than anyone.

They had to redo the song because she had messed up a previous take, and the audience was hip to her challenges so they gave some applause for getting through a difficult part.

Idc what anyone says people have the right to their opinion and regardless THE DIXIE CHCIKS ARE AMAZING AND A STAPLE TO MY CHILDHOOD

Lloyd Maines' solid pedal steel guitar playing on this song is essential to how great it sounds. He is the perfect musician for this group, always playing exactly the right notes at the right time, never showing off and making the tune swing and soar as only a master can.

My mom used to love the Dixie Chicks. She died back in 2000 when I was 6. When I listen to them today, I feel closer to her...

The Dixie Chicks are always a reminder to me that some of the greatest music and greatest musicians have come out of a place called Texas - even though the "prophets" haven't always gotten the honor they deserve in their own country, so to speak...like Buddy Holly or Janis Joplin.

The way she says "away" has such a nice accent and tone to it. Her voice didn't change one bit from 1999 that's for sure.

These ladies are some of the last of the country music greats. They simply do not make them like this anymore. We love you girls, keep doing what you do because we crave it! I hope you ladies read these comments and see all of the support you have out there, its nothing but love coming your way from Kentucky!

Great harmonies. I think Natalie sings with better vocal control and phrasing here than on the original records. More subtle. Great band!

my favorite part is 3:33 after the final chorus when they repeat the "closer to you." It starts with Natalie and Emily (mid and lower voice). Then Natalie and Marty (mid and higher voice). Then the camera zooms to all of them and their voices just open a floodgate of energy as they all sing their perfect harmonies. I like how Emily is the only one who changes her voice up and down on the "me" which adds nice subtle movement. Amazing! It all makes the hair on my neck stand up

These girls are so talented! Vocals are always great, they play multiple instruments along with the full band and writing their own songs.. something your don't see a lot anymore. The instrumentals and vocals on this song are just awesome.

How stupid and narcissistic could Natalie be to, apparently, not know her own audience. Natalie killed the goose that laid the golden egg. Only an idiot does that.

Natalie Maines is absolutely gorgeous in this video. I find this song to be quite comforting in many ways, and listen to it all the time if I need a pick me up for whatever reason.

Agreed, they are awesome musicians regardless of whether you agree with their politics or not. I was heartbroken as a soldier to hear the statements they made. However never changed my opinion on the quality of there music.

So happy The Chicks are back and together!! Scrutinized for being right.. put through hell… stood their ground and still crossing the finish line together!! I love and admire these woman!!
