"The D'evil Went Down To Georgia" on 1/4/21. Donald Trump = 666 using the 'Evil=48 Code' of A=49, B50, C51...Z74. He's the current Antichrist whose actions are the opposite of the Christ, e.g. he worships GOLD not GOD, he's a pathological liar/ cheater/con-artist, he's killed thousands of Americans (and Kurds), he cheats at golf, etc. D52+O63+N62+A49+L60+D52 + T68+R66+U69+M61+P64 = 666 See 7seals.blogspot.com - only the returned Christ & Albert Einstein reincarnated could produce that. It's triggered The Apocalypse/Revelation which is NOT the 'end of the world'. COVID-19 is part of Seal #4: S=19 (18.6) Theory.

The devil knew he was objectively better. I’m pretty sure when Johnny is playing and singing, he’s calling out the names of the songs he’s playing so he was mixing up snippets of actual songs while playing way faster than the devil. The devil had no chance of winning
In the mid 1990's I saw Charlie sing this classic in an open amphitheatre with a storm coming up behind him. Lightning was literally striking behind him as he sung, put chills up my spine!

I live in the same area he was from (Mt. Juliet, TN). He was known to show up by himself in a grocery store or gas station. Always humble and willing to take time to talk to his fans. When I was in High School, this song was SUPER popular. At lunch, they used to play the radio in the cafeteria over the loudspeakers, so we often sang along when good ones came on. We loved when this played because when it got to the radio version (I done told you once you son of a gun, I’m the best that’s ever been), we all chanted loudly the REAL lyrics to drown out the “on the radio” version, “I done told you once you son of a bitch, I’m the best that’s ever been!” The teachers used to roll their eyes and shake their heads at us.

It’s not telling a story anymore. This is a great story with a hint of southern rock and a good amount folk influence along just typical country at the time, it’s beautiful. Now a days it’s just talking about how alcohol makes you feel funny and how they kissed a girl. There’s no story anymore in the music and it’s unfortunate.

The angel choir just got a little more fun, show em how it's done, Charlie.

This is probably more what we used to call "Southern Rock" back in the 1970s - but there are certainly tons of bluegrass references in the song and the fiddling...

"I told you once you son of a b!tch I'm the BEST that's ever been" Damn I get goosebumps every time I hear that line
Every time I cross the border from SE TN I see the "Welcome To Georgia" sign on the freeway. This song ALWAYS comes to mind! 😆
We will all miss Charlie "The best there's ever been", but I know how religious he was, so he is at a better place now, sitting next to the Lord instead of the Devil, as he rosins up his bow, to play for the King of the universe throughout eternity.

You beautiful musicians, thank you Mr. Daniels, thank you band. Your song was prophetic in the deepest sense. The devil did come down to Georgia looking to steal. He was in a bind, he was way behind, but we have music, and we have recounts. And recount we did. And again. And one more time. And you're gonna regret. And Fani said, let me show you how it's done.

Not that into country music but a legend is a legend, talent is talent and this song is damn good!
The Devil went down to Georgia But he wasn't looking for a soul Old Charlie has passed And the Devil knew They would duel no more Everybody knew that Charlie was Johnny so He laid that fiddle on the hickory stump And walked off with his head hung low. As the Devil walked away he could still hear it in his heart. Charlie was the best that's ever been But now they had to part..
