Roman Catholic here! I genuinely love the name "Chris Cross", that's weirdly perfect. I think the inclusion of a Hindu character, while pretty cool in theory, does make the premise feel a bit less...solid, if that makes sense? Judaism, Islam, and the various branches of Christianity all at least come from similar roots and share some core beliefs- including being monotheistic and believing in some of the same biblical stories, whereas Hinduism is a polytheistic religion that has some very obvious differences with the Abrahamic/"people of the book" religions. EDIT: Also how did they *not* think to name Ninjew "Jewjitsu"?

Yeah… I would‘ve given the characters proper names instead of… this. I think the creator wanted the names to be more on the funny side, but they come of as parodic then comical. Like here; Chris Cross (fine as it is actually) Ninjew => Ana (One of her ‚skills‘ is ‚Ana Laser, so she could have a catchphrase like ‚Let‘s ANAlyze!‘ (i know, pls don’t shoot me i tried)) Taekwonhindu => Padma (in Sanskrit it means Lotus flower and is one of the attributes of Parvati, wife of Shiva and has many titles, including Goddess of Harmony) Sumoslim => Kareem (means ‚Dignified‘ as it is one of the myriad of titles Muhammad had gone by) Chris, Ana, Padma and Kareem… What do you think? Open for your opinions about them? Any other suggestions maybe?

The premise of this show really reminds me of Hetalia - characters are created out of a collection of stereotypes to parodify the group they represent in a (what's supposed to be) lighthearted manner. I'd say that the biggest problem with that is the target audience being kids. An adult viewer should have at least a little bit of knowledge about these religions and cultures to recognize what's supposed to be representation and what's satire and to take it all with a gram of salt.

Regarding the creator's name being Nimrod, I just found out a few weeks back that the original name of Nimrod was a biblical figure and a mighty hunter. It wasn't until Bugs Bunny using the name decades ago that it ended up being considered an insult, since he called Elmer Fudd "Nimrod" implying that Fudd considered himself a great hunter.

The scientists are definitely regular scientists, but did see some people think they were Scientologists when they first watched it, so maybe if the made them that later down the line it would be a bit better. Maybe as an allegory of people using religion for power and money?

As a chance to learn something - Nimrod was a biblical king, and for a long time the name was associated with being a great hunter or tyrant. Several notable ships and military aircraft have carried the name, such as the Hawker-Sidney Nimrod Submarine hunter. The negative connotation of the term mostly stems from its sarcastic use by Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck when pointing out the ineptness of Elmer Fudd - though they were not the first use it this way.

Who do you think will get more fanart? Tawkwonhindu, or Ms. Dogma. Speaking of villains, instead of having the scientist/Atheist be the villains, why not have Xenu be a villain? Xenu should be the Thanos of this series. Have L Ron Hubbards severed head in a har with a cyborg body. Make fun of Scientology. Here's some other suggestions. A televangelist supervillain? Evangelist super villain? How about a Frankenstein monster made from the body parts of all the evil people that ever existed (Hitler, Stalin, Bin Ladin, Pol Pot, Mao, Idi Amin etc). The Anti-Christ?

Imagine if they made an episode about Chris cross getting upset about "religious organizations" Running a charity and then not using the money for good intentions. "No way Joseph (little joke like the Lebanon Jordan) My God loves all of his children, its not an exclusive club you get into with money or power!" If it's still going down the route of teaching children it also can teach them to have critical and statistical thinking even about their own religion period. Whether their efforts are going towards your God or their own benefit.

10:21 I think the show can justify that if they take them in the same direction as the Shroobs from Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. They were also aliens who came from a dying planet and came to Earth to attain resources to survive. The Shroobs however, were RUTHLESS and FAR from willing to share and coexist in peace, as they were willing to outright cause the extinction of all life on the planet they were invading if that meant they survived. The Mario Bros. of course couldn't let their planet die, so they had to stop them. If the show takes the Reptilios in this direction, it would be reasonable to see why God's Gang isn't helping them and completely trying to stop them. Also side note, it surprises me that you called the show out for naming the Jewish character Ninjew, but not that they named the angel dog in Heaven DOGMA😂!!! (Oh my God, the irony in that name choice makes me laugh uncontrollably, like WHAT!?).

Hey, I heard your comment in the beginning, about religions requiring you to only believe in your gods, and would like to clarify that most religions tend to actually have way less our way or the highway mentalities. While orthodox variants Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) tend to have strict dogmas about God and the proper way to worship it, polytheistic and nontheistic religions tend to be way less strict about gods. As an example, there is no central dogma about gods in Hinduism, with some worshiping only one, some worshipping many, and some worshipping the universe itself. In addition some religions such as Daoism and Jainism, at their core see gods as being irrelevant to their core message, and can be followed even as an atheist. Less dogmatic Abrahamic religions also rarely conflict, given that at its core we all worship the same God. So if you were to put a Reform Jew and a Quranist Muslim in the same room, we'd pretty much just worship together since we'd pray to the same god, look in a relatively similiar direction while praying (unless we were in between Jerusalem and Mecca) and be able to eat most of the same food.

Real Japanese Ninja’s religious beliefs were shamanism, mountain worship and animism. Why do they think Ninjas do “In”(hand signs)? it’s how they(supposed) to use their elemental power from elements spiritually. They had their own actual religious beliefs. Ignore it and just use as “superpower” holder is completely opposite of being inclusive and to positively respect multiple religions and beliefs.
