    @ayxx3548 Her key complaints revolved around finances though. She made it sound like her deadbeat dead left everything to do something financially catastrophic: breakdancing. She said he wouldn't pay for her medical bills, making him seem like a broke loser. Except that her and her mother (plus siblings) received 5 million dollars. They had full-on college funds to pay for the entirety of their studies, had to take on no student debt. She was still receiving aid from her dad until recently during the writers' strike (250 bucks every other week). Her dad was paying her 5k to "set her up" after graduation. etc etc. Financially, she was in the top 1% easy with how much she milked her dad. If she wants to cry "my dad was a multi-millionaire who gave my mom 5 million dollars+ but was never around emotionally" -- make that video then. It's honest but not as juicy. That's why she made a dishonest video about "trauma" to milk "pity me" likes from people who are unlikely to see 5 million dollars in their entire lifetimes. You're here defending her for her trauma and it's unlikely you'll ever see 1 million dollars, let alone 5.

    I don't know if anyone will read this but i have a dad who has a platform online and was an awful father and I really feel for this young woman because doing this kind of confrontation online is something i've considered. To have a dad reply online in this manner (even if she was completely off base-- which she's not) is something so painful. It's painful to see a father prioritize his own success and image far above the lives of his children. It sucks to see him praised... I wish this young person strength and resiliency. Also, SO glad her siblings are on her side.

  • @kyrusinek

    I dunno man I feel it was more nuanced than she let on and with how the mother acts I feel the daughter has been lied to rather than the dad just being the main issue. I think a lot of people projected their own experiance with their parents into this story to decide who was right or not. I personally think its a bit much to go online and trash your father that costs him a livleyhood then act like he shouldnt of defended himself. Ideally if your kid is wrong you call them out you dont allow it just because your older. In part of the story as well he was sent to jail for not being able to pay child support. If he lost his money clients but still has to pay child support he may of been worried he would be sent back to jail. The siblings are not "all" on her side either the brother has complety stayed out of it and still vists him while the other daughters didnt really call either out they just thought, like you that the dad should fo taken th brunt of the daughter badmouthing online and shouldnt challenge it. If my own son went online bathmouthing me, potntially costing me the ability to support myself, my new wife and potentially my son as well I would 100% do the same. Being the "kid" isnt an excuse for chatting shit and dragging people through the mud unfairly. Even though my own dad was WAY worse than her dad I still wouldnt trama dump half a story to millions online because thats a bitchy awful thing to do. She may be correct but he has evidence otherwise while no one else in her family does. I think people some kind of view of parents were they are supposed to always be the one to fall on the sword. However she isnt really a kid either she is an adult.

Poor relationships are not a one sided thing. It might be when your young but not as an adult when you have agency yourself. Even if he was a bigot like you claim that still doesn't mean anyone should be trashrd online and just "take it" especially since his truth is that it didnt happen. It shouldn't be a case of "if someone says something bad online to millions of people about you, its true by default and you have to take the online abuse for it" I dont think people are objective and are putting there own relationships with their own parents in this.

    No cause why does everyone have to bring in homeschooling to everything 😭😭😭 I was homeschooled basically my entire childhood and I SWEAR it is not how people portray it. You do NOT get to just stop going to school and do whatever you want. For the teacher (parent) it's a lot of hard work and planning. You still have to follow a curriculum and meet requirements and you still have to have official papers in case someone sees your children out of school during school hours and decides to report you for no reason. It is NOT all kicks and giggles. It worked well for me but it is definitely NOT for everyone. And it is most certainly not a replacement for college and higher education. That’s just absolutely preposterous! You always have to take into account you and your children's specific needs and in our case not only was my mother an english and biology major with experience as a history teacher, but our designated school zone had a TERRIBLE graduation and success rate so homeschooling was kind of a last resort. But she never intended to keep us homeschooled forever, and she certainly did not intend for us to not seek higher education. Sorry for the unnecessarily long rant lol. Tldr: People like to take the "school" out of homeschool, but please don't think homeschooling is an excuse to not actually learn.

  • @theGingerAutist

    @theGingerAutist

    10 күн бұрын

    this is definitely how homeschooling is supposed to work and i’m glad you had a good and educational environment! unfortunately a lot of people who think like the dad use home schooling now to be selective about what they teach their kids (aka no climate change/evolution, no critical conversations about racism and other kinds of discrimination, a lot of emphasis on bible studies when their views comes from a place of religion, etc.), and i think that’s the main problem people usually fight against when it comes to home schooling. because the kids are completely isolated and unable to learn about those things even they wanted to. however, if home schooled kids always had your experience, then there would be no issue!

    it's so wild to me. my parents never legally divorced (they're still legally married) but they separated due to a lot of conflict. and they get along better as friends than in a romantic relationship. but my dad at least made attempts to be in our lives. and he's still part of my life now. i would honestly be so flabbergasted if my dad had left my family to breakdance. but i do know that separated parents do talk shit about their ex-partners a lot and it does help the child form a biased opinion about the lesser seen parent. i know my siblings and i were taught to dislike my dad and blame the entire marriage collapse on him. but as an adult i've come to realize that my parents were just too incompatible and their relationship was never going to work because they both have different goals in life. and their separation was for the better. though the way they handled it wasn't very civil and wasn't great to do in front of a bunch of children.. but also they were in their late-20s and had three kids.. so i can see why they didn't handle it that well

    @g6797 First up, the "left to breakdance" narrative was hard to believe on face value. You can breakdance without leaving your family. It's not like you're joining a monastery and becoming a monk. Turns out he started breakdancing 7 years after the divorce as a hobby. He went over this. And according to him he didn't forget the birthday the "?" was a typo. He went over his previous birthday messages. She was also requesting 300 dollar gifts for birthdays in past messages so it's rich she wants a bunch of peasants who are lucky to get a 10 dollar funko pop on their birthday to defend her. He gives weird vibes, sure, and might be a rubbish dad but she's also a rubbish daughter. His breakdancing stuff, her milking madeup family drama for TikTok likes. They're both built for each other tbh. It's almost like they're *(shocker)* related. I remember reading Obama's "Dreams from my Father". His dad was the biggest deadbeat ever. Obama still tried to shine his dad in a positive light. Which, frankly, was unnecessary. She doesn't have to shine her dad in similar positive light but if he has paid millions of dollars for her upbringing, if she's student-debt free due to him, if he's her go-to dude whenever she needs a quick 5k to get her job going then the least she can do is not milk him for TikTok likes and direct hate his way. She's the one who started this and she knew it'd jeopardize his career. That backfired and if you go over her comments on TikTok she's been having borderline manic episodes since over how the much positive attention her dad has been getting instead.

But you'll just believe a woman who was five years old at the time as the credible source of what money went where. The only evidence we have from either of these two supports the father's story. Even the daughter's screenshot of text messages with her father shows only one side reaching out and it isn't hers.

    as the child of divorced parents i can confirm that “her mom brainwashed her and that’s why she doesn’t like me and that’s the only reason she doesn’t like me” is the nicest way i’ve ever seen a father call your mom a bitch because she needs money to support your children and she told you why they divorced to protect you from what she suffered in the marriage

    Oh but they can still make it very upsetting to the kid too. By sending a video to you called 20 things parentally alienated kids think but won’t tell you. Like. For one: I’m an adult (young but still) and two: you have also driven me away by your interactions with me, not just my mom telling me what you did. Sorry for the rant it just resonated. I definitely agree.
