Won my first match in a high school tourney, then lost to a K Rool and Ganondorf in a row. I’ve always been bad against heavies. Also, the kid I played against was like 11 and really bad

My Smash career peaked when casual games kept turning into 3v1 vs. my Lucas and Toon Link back in the day. But I never even tried competitive, so check that K/D. Not the worst.

Oh no, the first, last, & most likely, only Smash tournament I went to, I went with the mindset that I was going to have my ass handed to me. Suffice to say, my sole expectation was met 110%. Collectively lost 1-7 overall matches.

Smash 64 Pikachu. A Corkscrew Meteor Falco. Any projectile character and teach it to only use projectiles. Any character with a good final smash and train it with items. A ridley amiibo in giant smash. A luigi with all three slots being strong grab. A Dk amiibo named “Easy DK” and make it as bad as possible. Any charcter that’s very lightweight with all three slots being trade off. A wifi link amiibo. A sonic amiibo with all three slots being speed up.

Yeah my childhood was brawl too but I was like 5 and I think I kept using Kirby because I thought his copy ability is sick.

Hey Captain Kidd, there's a certain spirit that, when raised to max level, gives stats nearly identical to a fully buffed Amiibo. That spirit... is the Primid spirit. It's a neutral type, meaning you don't have to worry about type advantage or disadvantage, and it's stats are balanced, with both attack and defense reaching around 2000 or so. If you ever want to fight an Amiibo with spirits and you want to do it on even footing, I would use that. It would help with training something like this.

@@aurahero9842 haven't mained Lucario in smash since Brawl but, he was my main for Pokken tournament, hopefully they incorporate some of his techniques from that game into Smash 6.

Man brawl was back when me and my brothers didn’t know how to shield or grab, and we banned Ike because of his up special

I was introduced to Smash with Brawl but was horrible, then got pretty good with Smash 4 3DS, and honed my skills with Ultimate.

The entire lead up to release and the daily website updates with new info was probably my favorite thing about Brawl. Going to check the site every morning during HS comp class was my daily habit. And post-release, the battleship cutscene from Subspace Emissary was my jam. I must have gone back to watch that a couple dozen times.

I'm pretty sure SS tier is the most enjoyable amiibo to watch that I've seen at least

I play in a lot of all skill level lobbies it's kind of amazing how many people spam counters even in Ultimate. Everyone has that stage in their development I guess. I always try to just abuse grab till they stop it doesn't always work sadly..

Highlight of brawl: I use to fight tabuu on intense difficulty like every day made me think I was the best in the world.

My brawl memories are: Feeling scared when the game went silent and the game over screen came up from subspace emissary. Don’t judge.

I also started on smash 4 and just played Mario because I like the series. I thought I was good cuz I would mash up-tilt and then Spike my opponent at 30. then when I got more into the game and got ultimate I realized how trash I waswith spamming smash attacks and actually learned how to get better.

Favorite memory was when I lived with my grandma and my uncle bought the game the day it came out and him showing it to me after I got home from school and I was so exited to see all the new characters and playing through sub space with him and just generally being super exited whenever I saw a new character because I was still pretty young so I didn’t know all the characters that were gonna be in the game. I also remember popping off when sonic came in clutch in sub space

My favorite memories of brawl were the campaign and the sound design. I used to play way too many hours of subspace, ended up finding a way through the great maze so i could kill tabuu over and over, despite not knowing what the shield button was. Playing with friends over was so much fun, and the satisfaction from the sounds was amazing. Remember all the sounds the crowd would make when you launch someone? Remember meta knights tornado and the clanging noises? Brawl was the perfect casual game for a long time. The 8 year old nostalgia is still there after all these years.

I'm 18 and although I didn't have Brawl, my friend did and I have many fond memories of doing the boss rush mode into the early hours of the morning to unlock Wolf, with me playing Kirby and him playing MK. We had to try so hard not to get too hype and wake his parents up. 😆 Whenever they came down, we'd switch to the news and pretend we were watching that instead, and although this was obviously bull, they let it slide cus y'know, kids be kids. Sorry for the long comment, but your comment about Brawl memories really brought back some happy times for me. 😊

My favorite Brawl memory is definitely when me and my friends late at night played Pokémon Stadium for around 60-70 minutes and by the end it was the cult of the “Almighty Yogi (Yoshi)” vs. a Shadow Toon Link. Good times were had

My earliest brawl memory is of me and my dad playing co-op on the zss and pikacbu subspace mission, but I can’t think back anymore before that

Brawl was my all-time favourite game in my first decade of life, and meta knight was my favourite character. Not because of his insane imbalance (which I wasn't aware of until a few years ago) but for the fact that he looked cool. Also, playing the subspace emissary with my siblings blew my mind

Love it c: The brawl memory that is still in my mind is the story mode, especially the scene where the Robs sacrifizied themselves :( it was sad... really sad

SS Tier after the first stock: Yeesh Fiyaah, you made me use like 1% of my power man.

My favorite memories from Brawl definitely came from the Subspace. I remember being stuck in the Great Maze, running around the entire place, having everything completed but never realizing I had to go to that one room that showed all the trophys of all the characters I defeated. I never realized that the door was opening to Tabuu and I had to press up.

My best Brawl memory was when me and my brother were playing CO-OP in Subspace. We got to the part were Ridley showed up and we both screamed in excitement. We were then told by our dad to turn the game off....

Back in the brawl days, my brother and I created a game we called "Soccore" which is hardcore soccer. We made a box you couldn't get out of and put only soccer balls on very high and put some bad "goals" one the left and right. We played timed with infinite time and had a blast.

1:40 all of us couch warriors thought we were the best in the world at some game and some point

I played Brawl a bit and loved it, and ever since then i've loved the smash series

My favorite brawl memory is the first time I beat subspace. I played it when I was young and don't all of the way to the maze. Being the small boy I was, I wasn't smart enough to figure it out and it frustrated me to the point where I quit. a few years later I come back and finally beat the game and the nostalgia and satisfaction I felt at that moment will always sit with me

Brawl was my first smash game I owned myself. I loved playing subspace almost every single day. I played Meta Knight, Pit and Ganondorf. 8 year old me never learned about tier lists, but just liked going zoom zoom with Meta Knight and Pit and loved smacking people with Ganondorf.

My favourite brawl memory was the first ever time I beat subspace as pikachu, I got way too excited

My favorite memory of Brawl was the Subspace Emissary in general, I remember being so fascinated by the cutscenes and story. I didn’t have anyone to really play it with, so that’s what was great to me. I remember thinking how good I was with characters like Ike and Bowser in that game (With the Wii remote and Nunchuck), and then eventually playing online in 4 and getting absolutely stomped (sometimes literally, Ganon), from there is where I started actually really improving as a player, but I always remember my roots in Brawl, even if the gameplay doesn’t hold up as well to some compared to Melee.

My favourite Brawl memory was staying up late at a sleepover with an old friend of mine, just going ham on classic mode. I remember not being able to beat Master Hand with Pikachu for the longest time, because I had relied on up specials that do good damage with other characters lol. By the time I discovered thunder was a move, he was already asleep.

I played brawl when I was little and I remember playing Pokémon trainer and not knowing that you could use up or down moves

My favorite Brawl memory was reading the manual for the first time many months after owning the game and learning there were more buttons to press on my sideways Wii remote than 1 and the D-pad. I was at least halfway through Subspace at this point

My favorite memory of Brawl was Subspace in general. I played it so much, and it was what kept me occupied when my family was moving and we didn’t have internet or data yet.

Best Brawl memory: I was playing ROB, and the crowd started chanting R-O-B. Thought it was either a glitch, or I was the best player in the world.

my favorite brawl memory is wen me and my friend were on the Pikmin stage, I was on a wheeled box on the left side and my friend was near ledge. I for some reason down tilted and me and the box went flying, my friend was hit by the box and we both went careening into the monsters mouth just as it closed. We laughed for ages. also his main was meta knight and mine was lucario.

Playing as Meta Knight in Brawl was my favorite thing. I didn’t play competitively (didn’t even know how to dodge) but he felt good to play. Then my friends found out he was OP and told me I couldn’t play him (even though I didn’t know any combos). So I became a ROB main in Brawl. When I got to SSB4 and Ultimate, he became my main once more, and I still find joy in playing him... now if only I was brave enough to press the neutral b button.

Playing subspace emissary with my cousin. That's my favorite brawl memory. There are still a couple of songs that just always make me think of subspace too lmao. The best one I can think of is stickerbush symphony because that one was used in like all the river levels with diddy and fox.

For amiibos I train, I always go with spirit load outs matching what I gave them, so then I can show my amiibos what power I have given them.

My favorite memory was learning that you could shield. I played that game for two years without knowing you could. And you'll never believe this I found out later there's other attacks rather than specials.

I Loved the sounds of the MK's sword, it did and still does Sound very deadly

Memories

one thing i remembered which was a joke in my family was that there was a blood mode to it which would lead to the characters to spew out blood when hit. It was made by my uncle and since only me and my brother played it, my parents took the game away until we used the excuse that we turned it off. And we told that lie so well that now in my memories i see blood whenever i think brawl.

I remember playing Brawl after it came out when I was ten and I was having trouble cause I never played a melee except at friends houses but then I tried Meta Knight and I very clearly remember thinking "oh wow this is much easier!"

My favorite times in that game is when me and my friends did special smash in the basic u shaped custom stage. We glitched it so much

My favorite Brawl Memories was my rivalry with one of my pals. I mained Snake and Marth, without knowing anything about the tier lists and not knowing that BOTH of them were really high tier, and he mained Mario, and we always went to WAR and were super close matched vs eachother. I always loved sticking him with snakes down b and watching him run at me desperately to try and kill me or get it off him before i blew it up, or when i last second got a counter when he got greedy for a forward air on me and it killed him in the last stock situation. Those were the good old days at least they were until i remember the tripping

Even though Brawl was my first smash game, I only got it as a gift from my cousin and didn't recognize any fighter except for a select few. I have a specific memory of getting to the part of Subspace with Lucas and Pokemon Trainer and I remember thinking "That's the Pokemon guy". That's the only thing I remember from my Brawl experience so I guess that's my best memory

My big brawl memory was Ike's introduction in subspace. I had no idea who ike was and frankly I still don't but man was that a way to make an entrance.

Brawl was my favorite game growing up. From the Subspace Emissary, to the collectables, to even the main game. I enjoyed every little bit of the game. Though it was annoying having the game reset everytime I turned the Wii off because I didn't have an SD card. I didn't mind much though.

My favorite brawl memory is captain falcon yelling through your Wiimote, It was truely a magical time

I was a Sonic kid growing up, and I didn't know what the DoJo was back then. I just Sonic on the back of the box and wanted it. When Sonic came in in the Subspace Emissiary, I was shaking with excitement and awe from The way he entered.

My favourite Brawl memory was watching the credits of the Subspace Emissary and just loving the music. Was never great at the game, but holy damn did I love the soundtrack. And I know what you mean about feeling old with what you played. A guy I'm subbed to said the first video game he ever played was Mario Kart Wii. That made me feel so god damn old

My favorite Brawl memory was when me and my cousin were playing Meta Knight (coincidentally) and we were going against a Mario and Luigi CPU and we managed to get one of them in between us as we held down A and just watched as the computer struggled to free the other one.

My Favorite memory from Brawl was beating Subspace Emissary and then Unlocking Toon Link in Subspace Emissary after finding him on complete accident, which was ironic because i just finished legend of zelda phantom hourglass, and was hoping that Toon Link was in smash, and sure enough he was, and after unlocking him, he has been my main in Brawl and onward since then!

I remember in boxelder job corps my 3rd day I found the wii in the game room with brawl and we played it until ultimate came out a while after. My friends will always remember brawl

This video grabbed my attention because 1. Brawl was my childhood 2. I was a meta knight main

I started on wiimote and never let the intro play out to the tutorial, so it took me an embarrassingly long time to learn the difference between tilts and smashes. It didn't help that my first ever main was Link, and all of his tilts look really similar to his smashes (I distinctly remember trying to do the up sword move with only two swing, but could only get one or three)

Sadly, Brawl was my first Smash game but I loved how Pokémon Trainer and Ice Climbers played in that game and why I still partially main them now

I never grew up with melee but brawl is my childhood.

Favorite Brawl memory for me other than the sweet sweet victory of bearing taboo is being at my friends house in a free for all and getting 4 falcon punches and one last falcon punch to win the final death

Brawl was my first smash. I had no clue meta Knight was broken because back then all I did was b moves and smash attacks, maybe a roll or two.

My favourite memory is playing on Pokemon Stadium with pokeballs set to high. Me and my friend would each have our own half of the stage and weren't allowed to attack each other with our characters. We waited until a pokeball spawned on our respective side and then we used it to try and kill each other. Also using the wind in pokemon stadium to try and set up mid-air falcon punches because we used to think that landing one was the ultimate achievement of Brawl😂

I grew up on brawl and melee too, I never noticed the random slipping before but I went back recently and oh boy.....

My Favorite Brawl Memories are Subspace Emissary, playing with my cousin on the wii and I mostly played Meta Knight because I thought he looked cool, and one time when I was playing with my brother and we were playing random and he got his main, snake, not once, not twice, but three times in a row!

Hearing you say you grew up on Brawl and Melee made me feel old growing up on 64
