I see what you mean but I think forcing that rule would either result in people wasting a lot of time on stream leveling up pokemon that would only be useful in one fight or just not leveling the weaker ones and letting them die, so pretty much just using the same strong pokemon anyways

I did this in a couple challenge runs for B2 (I've done nearly every possible monotype on official hardware). Like Dragon I did not plan on using flygon. I TECHNICALLY can do Rock.... It'd be difficult cause I'd need to get Shuckle through Dream Radar but even then I'd only have... Shuckle, Onix, Gigalith, Crustle, and like... Corsola....

I personally don’t pick my favorites for their power. I just go based purely on their designs. I’ve done a run with every bear pokemon in the game and all of them have a weakness to fighting.

I feel the way to go about this challenge, rules wise, should have been to make everyone make a list of 30 of their favorites and then roll to see what will be their only six pokemon they use the whole game. That way you don't risk people just spamming with legendaries, and allows for people to come up with strategies mid-stream. I feel as though that would make a more authentic experience.

Honestly, having a Gen 3 race where the win condition is ‘Defeat Wallace’ and then playing Ruby/ Sapphire instead of Emerald is such a huge strat.

What about a Nuzlock with only Pokemon you've never used before, I do this on most of my first playthroughs (minus the Nuzlock part), and it lets you appreciate or find the hidden potential of some Pokemon youd never use otherwise

Jacob would say "Of course I would!" and immediately cut to him sweeping the entire League with some busted 'mon.

Ghost type, awesome cry, awesome Dex entries, looks awesome, smiles at you from behind, and I discovered it by trading with a friend to help his PokeDex when I didn’t know a Reaper Cloth was a trade-evolution item rather than a level-evolution item. I even have a tiny Dusknoir figure in my purse ;v; I was proud to see it was one of the major contenders in the Pokémon battle royal video

The overworld custom sprites are cute I think it's really cool that you used your favorite "normal" pokémon instead of the legendaries, makes it more fun and challenging.

Onix is basically Sean Bean in Kidd's Nuzlockes, and not gonna lie, I'm here for it. I love it. XD I think that it wouldn't be a bad idea to name him Bean in a future game as a nod to that xD

This is what I do every time I play pokemon. But, I don't do nuzlockes. While I technically never played this gen, I did play the remake and my team was: Mawile (could mega evolve) Manetric (could mega evolve) Ninetales Milotic (I don't care how good it is, I just like its design) Breloom Flygon.

Can I just say I love that you always use the Masters themes for each of the E4 members and champ? They sound so good every time!

Of course you can win with just your favourites, I do it all the time, it just happens to be a funny coincidence that all my favourites are also extremely good.

I think this but without legendaries would be interesting. It would make it so you can’t just rely on one mon.

This is how I always play. I didn't even get into IV training or even really pay attention to them until Sword and I've been playing since Red and Blue.

Of course vulpixie was in the lead the whole time, if you have a Miraidon all you need to do is click an electric move for an hour and beat the game

I once did that. My Spiky Ear Pichu destroyed a Gyarados, an Aerodactyl and a Charizard. My Froslass oh-ko'd a Garchomp 5 levels above it.

When I competed in competitive when I was a teenager, I always used Silvally. I did competitive from the time I was 13 until I was 19 and then I had to stop due to work and life so i played competitive basically all of gen 7 & 8. I ALWAYS had a Silvally on my team and it actually did decent. Karen and the VGC Pachirisu are to thank for this. So sick of seeing the same pokemon over and over again in VGC just because they are good in battle. I challenge everyone to use pokemon they actually like.
