Episode 6 of every season is where they do much off the wall crap

It’s like this show isn’t even trying to tell a story anymore. Just arrange scene after scene of nonsense which exists only, solely to see how gross and supposedly shocking they can be. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a show fall off so hard, so fast. This episode was borderline unwatchable.

Wasn't the boys always like that? I mean, go back and watch the start of the show. The show is slow now cause season 4 isn't meant to finish any story, it will most likely end with a build up to season 5, which is really the end

@@gabrielpatrick2051 there was always violence and a lot of it was gratuitous. But there almost always was a narrative function for most of it, and the show still felt like it was trying to tell a real story about real characters. Ever since about halfway through season 3, it’s started to feel less and less like that was the case, and this season so far has been like 90% nonsense resembling the final season of Game of Thrones, where they’re constantly making the most melodramatic narrative choices possible regardless of whether they make sense or feel earned. Even if they’re undoing years of character development. It’s so damned bad

@@jasonmarbachit sounds like you’re just letting it all the gross bits get to you, because there’s still a story, I mean last episode saw Frenchie getting consumed by the guilt from his past, and he wasn’t the only one

@@cooldude2027 Yeah and that whole storyline (Kimiko’s too) is just nonsense. Two and a half seasons’ worth of character development and an arc just thrown out with the bath water. It seems like the showrunners realized they don’t have 5 season plans for either character and so they just dismantled their stories offscreen to set them back artificially and let them build back up to more or less the point they were at previously by the end of the show. It’s really, really bad, dude.

Also, the pulp and viscera (the “gross stuff”) for the most part isn’t anything we didn’t see worse of in Eli Roth movies 20 years ago. I am constantly amazed at what people find shocking, to be honest. It’s pretty tame. Like, the sex dungeon stuff in this episode felt like it was written by a puritan.

It was classic "The Boys" Almost enough to fogive the last 5 episodes which were 💩

@cooldude2027 We had enough of that way back in season 1 when he found out about his son and killed that volgeborm or whatever his name was, we didn't see that but we did see him zap stillwell in the eyes which in many ways was more graphic than that whole episode and his only zapped just enough to burn into her skull and not all the way through and wanted her to feel it imo It was a wasted episode that went nowhere, had no pay off and won't ever be mentioned about again in the series I doubt.

@@kennywilkinson913 First of all, he didn’t kill him, he just crippled him. Secondly, it sounds like you don’t even care about the story or anything, you just care about the gore and depravity, which is fine, I get that, but a lot of us want a story too. Which this series provides, but if you just want the graphic stuff stick to the comic.

@cooldude2027 How do you people take a comment and agree with it and yet somehow argue with it at the same time? You brought up episode 4, I said the story had already been told, didn't progress it any further. The reason i said that is because i do care about the story and so many plot points in the first 5 episode either come from nowhere or will lead nowhere and the gore from episode 4 was not needed and was the only high point of the episode, again, because the story had already been told and nothing else happened.
