New Orleans had “The Special Man” an older black gentleman with a cigar, and an odd suit and hat combo. It was for a furniture store and it started with some poor customer talking about how horrible their credit was and the sales guy would say “you gotta see the special man!!!” And the special man would take his cigar out of his mouth and say “let er have it….no problem!!!” I’m sure they’re all over KZread.

Minneapolis has the same dude who does like a few dozen local commercials, Fancy Ray the most beautiful man in show biz, he's the greatest commercial personality ever, he even did a taco bell super bowl ad a few years ago, he's been around since the 80s

Jim Adler, a Texas based lawyer, has some of the best commercials. The funniest thing about them is that Jim Adler is actually a super successful lawyer, yet chooses to keep his commercials cheesy. He leans into it!

Dave’s Pizza was the best. That was tongue-in-cheek for sure. Now I want some for sure. Beautiful mount aiiiry lodge, and that Shane Diamond thing were the commercials of my AM childhood. And I want to hear more bread man stories damnit. PPS - the boys are tripping; near the end, Soder lets the cat out of the bag

I know im late as all hell but I checked the entire comment section and this wasn't mentioned so I had too. Jay was correct about Crazy Eddie, he became huge in the entire North East. HOWEVER, he basically fancied himself half mobster and half business genius which led to extreme amounts of fraud manipulating stock prices and sending his son to college to get an accounting degree so he could professionally cook the books and then threw him under the bus when the feds caught on.....a real American hero.....

Apparently it’s a franchise cause we have the “Alabama hammer” here and he’s pretty horrible. Look up David J Maloney. He’s a big one where I live and did all these incredibly lame commercials about how if you get a DUI you better not think about calling him cause he’ll put you UNDER the jail…..Then he got arrested for DUI.
