Seems like a testament of how toxic and manipulative he was. Many toxic partners I’ve seen tend to move really fast. He seems to have some narcissistic traits. They usually try to push things along fast because they can’t keep up their charade long term. He was lying about everything. It’s hard to keep that up long term.

This is why I don't believe in the death penalty - it lets them get away from the punishment of being removed from society and living out their days miserable in prison, thinking about what they did to get there. Given that a huge number of these criminals attempt to kill themselves in prison (or before getting justice), they obviously see it as a much easier solution for them than facing imprisonment.

unless you've felt suicidal you actually have no idea how much courage it takes to take your own life. I think the stories where men have killed their partners or children, was planning suicide but then can't carry out killing themselves, they are the cowards. they were both broken people, she wasn't just a victim.

Domestic violence is too real. I survived a horrific situation in 2018 after almost losing my Life. I quite literally escaped in the middle of the night, alone, after several people i’d reached out to for help didn’t believe me-didn’t believe my Life was actually in danger, simply because my abuser was so “chill” and charming to everyone else. To anyone reading this: please don’t ignore red flags if you start to think someone in your Life may be an abuser, sociopath or other monster.

With all do respect, THIS wasn't THAT!! Sympathize, empathize but don't change the details to fit your narrative and to say that girl died at the hands of an abuser is a gross error. For some reason abuse only resonates to "some" in the physical where this woman was HIGHLY abusive to this man emotionally. Abuse in any form is offensive and some will kill over that offense. She wasn't innocent and the shameful things she did caused her death, whether she deserved it or not. In this instance "victim shaming" is completely accurate.

Eleanor, I love your videos. I just want to clear up something that by your reaction, truly caused you distress. In the U.S., just because police charge a person with a crime, doesn't mean they necessarily go to trial. Once felony charges are filed, the case goes before a grand jury. The defendant does not attend. The State presents all the evidence to this jury (which usually serves about 18 months). The Grand Jury then looks at the evidence, deliberates and decides if the defendant should be "indicted". Only if the person is indicted, do they stand trial. (just wanted to make that clear}. God bless.

I have a theory that he snapped, and it had to do with his time in Mexico for the production of I Love Money 3. Something that was revealed was the calls that were made between Jasmine and Ryan, he would call to see what she was up to, and she would tel him that he had better win this money. That toxic energy is what propelled Ryan to ultimately win; psychologically, him still getting shut down even after accomplishing those goals and still being told that she wanted to leave him boiled over, and while it’s not justifiable, him beating her was his way of airing out his frustration.

The agency VH1 would use to do background checks couldn’t do them for Canadian citizens, so they contacted a third party, a Canadian background agency, to do the background check on him and they reported back that he was clean. It sounds weird to say but it really wasn’t VH1’s fault entirely. It lies more on the shitty third party Canadian background agency.

Eleanor - you nailed the research on this one. Especially the part about how Ryan inflated his net worth. Ryan's dad was a self made real estate personality in Calgary Alberta and Ryan wanted to get himself into the family business. After Ryan had a brief involvement in the family business, Ryan's dad quickly decided it would be better for business if he paid Ryan an allowance so he could go live in another country. Ryan's dad was given the impression the some of the allowance money was being spent on business dealings in the US that would bring Ryan some income. When his dad realized what the money was really being spent on, the allowance was slashed.
