Am I the only one who gets annoyed at that neighbor? He sounded so judgey. Just because someone "doesn't have anything" like a gun or whatever visible, didn't mean that James wasn't perceived as a real threat. The family didn't know he wasn't armed, and James broke their door down despite warnings. I do feel a bit bad for James sister, but it's disgusting of her to edit the video and demonize the family. Just my opinion.

If that were a certainty you'd be able to answer why he never came for her for the previous 2 fucking years. Most likely this lad had a mental health issue possibly sparked by some habbitual LSD use over prior years, that due to your nations shitty medical system coupled with your country having more guns than people, got a kid killed rather than restrained and treated. I am sure his family is most pleased with such an outcome along with the daughter the father was protecting who will be traumatised as will the father himself. America can sleep well, justice has been served, regardless of the cost of that. Bravo all round.

That father did NOT owe James a fair fight in his home to protect his family. What happens if he loses that fight and his family is defenseless? The father did not instigate the situation. If someone tries to kick your door in with the clear intent to harm your daughter are you going to worry about his well being before your child's? Of course not, people like to play holier-than-thou and what they would have done when they didn't have to feel terrified in the moment. Great job Dad!!!

I had a similar situation happen to me, and I believe the dad in this made the best decision to save his family's lives. I had an ex that had bpd and whenever he drank or smoked weed would act really scary and strange, similar to the guy at the door in this video. His substance abuse was obviously interacting with his mental condition, and he took no accountability for it. When I left him, he would leave creepy messages on my phone and refused to leave me alone. Even sent me texts telling me I'd never find anyone, just like James did to Allyson. One day he called me to "meet and talk about things", and I refused because it gave me a really bad feeling. Later that night he showed up at my house, tried to break in, and ended up taking his own life in my driveway when the police approached him. The police told me they thought he was planning on killing me and possibly my family. Had I met him "to talk" I probably wouldn't be alive right now. The dad in this video is a hero. You never know what someone is capable of doing when they aren't in their right mind like this.

The neighbor’s behavior in this situation INFURIATES me, because this is exactly how people acted when it was my mom and I being stalked and harassed by my mother’s ex husband who was on meth at the time. “Oh he wasn’t gonna do anything to you!” The police dismissed us time and time again because there was no video evidence and dozens of witnesses to one event didn’t mean anything. He tried to break in and ran when he heard our ADT alarm. “You’re overreacting, stop being so dramatic…” If I would’ve had a gun in that situation, I would’ve done the same damn thing. That boy is an idiot but she knew that and still got involved. He's dead and she's probably moved clean on she never cared for him other than a stuffed animal. I'm not standing up for the guy but I'm not going to pretend he randomly pulled this stunt. When the cops were interrogating him, he was still so shaken up by what had happened, as they all were. James really did follow them bc he was right behind them once they returned from breakfast. His voice-mail was creepy and him not answering them thru the ring speaker was scary. I don't see how charges could or would have been against Dad. He was protecting his family since some unstable ex was forcefully trying to enter their home uninvited! To walk up like that and try to tell someone how to handle something like that when they have 0 information as to what’s happening or why … l can’t. And to start saying he doesn’t have a gun … he says he doesn’t have a gun because he didn’t see the dude holding a gun but he has no idea what the guy could be concealing.
