The Biggest Robbery of Lebron James's Career

Спорт

Lebron James is one of the greatest talents to ever play in the NBA and his 2013 season was truly spectacular. He won the MVP, Championship and the Finals MVP! Despite collecting this hardware, Lebron James was robbed this season and in my opinion, it was the greatest robbery of his NBA career. It's no secret Lebron was robbed of countless MVP awards but the way he lost his Defensive Player of the year trophy (DPOY) still doesn't sit right with many to this day. The NBA essentially rigged the defensive team to back their decision to give Marc Gasol the DPOY title. This video dives in and discusses why the robbery that occurred in 2013 was the biggest of Lebron James's career!

Lebron was robbed in 2012 AND 2013. In 2012 he was number 1 in DBPM and 2nd in DWS and lost to Tyson Chandler despite Lebron having a better defensive rating and the Heat having a better defensive rating than the Knicks. So even when Lebron had the advanced stats he lost.

To Marcs defense he deserved it. He was robbed the defensive first team as well. That year the Grizzlies was 2nd in defensive rating in contrast the Heat was 9th. Gasol was 1st in defensive winshares In contrast Lebron was 10th That year Gasol grabbed 8 rebounds while giving you a steal and 1.7 blocks a game.....in contrast Lebron also gave you 8 rebounds while giving you 1.7 steals and 0.9 blocks a game very similar in numbers. They weren't wrong with the trophy but they was wrong with the defensive team selection. It hurts....it doesn't fit the narrative but it's true. With that being said Lebron had a hell of a year, and deserves all the praise for what he did and is still doing.

@@Earnyourranks lebron had Charmers (underrated defender) 1.6 steals a game. Shane battier Dwayne wade Chris bosh Birdman With a great defensive scheme coach To gasols Lionel hollins (great defensive caoch) Conley Tony Prince Bron was more switchable but at his own position most of the time was trash players, as a high iq player he played the numbers game and played help side. Gasols primary duty was to hold down the paint being major part of grind house culture in Memphis. In modern basketball you have to be switchable but in that time having a big man was still prioritized. (Slower paced and less about shooting) hence why marc addapted and changed his game. The numbers and eye test backs it up at this point it's all on opinion, they both had a great defensive year, it's just more impressive how lebron did all that while leading his team in most categories. but by no means was lebron robbed, fake narrative and is disrespectful to gasol. They beat okc and the clippers and beat the spurs the year before..it wasn't because they were the more talented team. Defense.
