2011 MVP was stolen from Dwight Howard. 66 double-doubles, 22.9 ppg, 14.1 rpg, 2.4 bpg, 1.4 spg, 1.4 apg, 59%fg, 38.6 mpg, 78 games played, Magic record 51-27, 4th East. Dwight played pretty much alone, no all-stars around him. Only Ryan Anderson played more than 60 games, lot of injuries in that team, just a shell of what they were 2 years earlier....

It's a regular season award and some people don't and never will understand that so they just see lebron as the best player in the playoffs every year so they think he should be the mvp.

No lol. He consistently put up better numbers than the mvp in the regular season, and the most egregious example was 2011. Rose has more assists. LeBron had more Ppg, rpg, bpg, spg, fg%, win shares and defensive win shares, all defense selection and better defensive stats across the board. It came down to record and story. If you believe the record is more important than all those factors combined, cool (they were like 3 games apart). I just think that's ridiculous

Look dude, the stats were close enough (Rose played more games, had more assists, more blocks, better 3pt % and better FT% if you want to really be technical) that what the MVP came down to is that Rose won more games with way less talent around him. And that Rose had more blocks when they both average .6 bpg? Come on dude. The difference in their efficiency was absolutely massive. Rose shot 44%, LeBron shot 51%. The reason Rose won was a combination of their record, his age, his play, and voter fatigue. The fact is there were probably 2 other mvps LeBron should've gotten that he didn't because of voter fatigue. You could argue one of them was Kobes mvp in 07 (?). Kobe was snubbed by Steve Nash the year prior.

LeBron always posts something around 27-7-7 and that might win MVP some years, but tbh there is nothing truly amazing about that stat line. There's almost always someone with better stats than 27-7-7. Especially in the fast paced era we have now.

2018 LeBron was snubbed for sure. Harden had a way better team and LBJ had so many game winners, come from behind wins, carried that bummy Cavs team, and made it to the finals and opened with an earth-shattering 51 points.

He led Rockets to the best record in the league, he led the league in winshares and in PER soo 2018 was for Harden the closest year for MVP. In 2019 Giannis was much better defender than Harden, he was 2nd in defensive player of the year voting, he was more efficient than Harden, he led Bucks to the best record in the league and he had the highest per in the league (I think Harden was close to 29 per while Giannis hac 30,6). Giannis averaged much less points than Harden because he also played less minutes than Harden, the fact that Giannis put those crazy stats on the court in very short time was incredible, so give him mkre minutes and he will have Wilt Chamberlain numbers...

@@gggyy7104 dude, per shows how efficient player was during the season😂Harden did averaged 36 points, but he attempted more than 13 threes per game which is the most in NBA history I think, he averaged 12 free throw attemps per game and he shot 44% from the field while Giannis was almost 58% from the field. James Harden also was turnover machine that year and as I said, he played much more minutes than Giannis, give the Giannis more minutes, and his numbers would've been even much better. Anyway, I respect your opinion if you think, Harden was the MVP that year, it was really close, but still, for me Giannis was defensive monster that year, he was much better defender than Harden while Harden dominated the game in one way.

No he shouldn't. If MVPs were statistics, than Kobe would have 3 MVPs now amd Michael Jordan would also has more MVPs and things would be much different. In MVP voting, statistics aren't the most important, but second most important thing. The most important is: 1. Your team to be in top 2 in conference 2. You have to have really nice stats, but not necessary the best stats as long as you winning 3. You have to have nice story. So Lebron was obviosly the best statistical player in 2011 and maybe even in 2018, but he got Dwayne and Bosh and Miami still wasn't the best team from the east that year and Chikago had much, much better record that year. If Lebron was deserved more than Derrick Rose, than he would lead his team to the first place. If he had trash team like Kobe in 2006 and 2007 than he definitely deserved the MVP for leading his team to top 2, but that wasn't the case, and on the other side, Derrick Rose did that. He hadn't superstars in his team, he had role players and still lead his team to the first place so Derrick Rose definitely deserved MVP. In 2018, I would say that maybe Lebron should win the MVP because he had strong arguments for that, his team wasn't so good like before, but still Houston was also the best team in the league that year, Cavaliers was maybe 3rd or 4th place in the east so that's why Harden won the MVP.
