Good video, but you didn't really touch any of the reasons I've grown to hate him. I respect his game completely. I still don't think you can definitively call him the GOAT, but greatest of his era; sure. I first started disliking him during the super team tade, but not because he went to a super team. Instead it was because he kept playing with the emotions of his home town fans, previously saying his only goal was to bring a championship to Cleveland and how much he loved it there, only to throw that away for an easier chance at a title. Of course he later came back to CLE to make that up, and he's definitely not the only player to promise the fans to stay, then shortly after that change his mind, but it just left a bad taste for me. What really started me hating him was him as a public figure / personality, acting like because he's a great player that we should care about his horrible opinions on other topics. The largest example of this being his public comments about that Houston assistant coach, who pissed off China by talking about Hong Kong. LeBron's put his foot in his mouth numerous times, but that time regarding China was the one that really upset me. There are just so many reasons I dispise his opinion on that topic; disrespecting that coach's freedom of speech, completely ignoring the horrible things China was doing in Hong Kong all because LeBron wants to make more money, bending backwards to kiss China's ass when they've been antagonistic to your own country... I could go on and on. Since that, all his LeGM BS has just made me lose more and more respect for him over the years. To summarize, I respect him as a player, but just hate him as a person.

It seems like you care more about the stuff he is interested in passion about off the court, but when you look at what he has accomplished on the court, how can you not say he’s the greatest player of all time and if you’re a Michael Jordan fan if you removesix rings which is a team accomplishment how does he compare to LeBron James? I grew up loving MJ, but as a basketball fan, I don’t see how anyone cannot say. LeBron is not the goat.

    1. calling himself the king and the goat and basically endlessly praising himself doesnt help me to like him. 2. never taking responsibility. he will blame coaches, teammates, fake injuries, anything but himself. it can never be lebrons fault. remember when he got swept in the finals and came to the press conference with a splint on his hand that was "basically broken"? he is the goat of excuses. 3. quitting on teams. ive never seen a player give up so much. he quit the cavs because it was too hard. then he quit the heat because he could see dwade was getting old. then he quit the cavs again after jr smith forgot the score. if jordan was like lebron he would have said 'its too hard' in his early years with the bulls when they sucked. then he would have joined magic and kareem for a few easy championships. when they got too old he could abandon them and join stockton and malone for a few more. its actually pathetic.

#1, 3, and 4 are why people don’t consider him the goat. #2 and 5, along with his own arrogance are why people really are starting to hate him.

I'm not a fan but also not a hater. His style of play is just not my definition of GOAT. I have no problem with his personality or his comments off the court. He's always been a distributor first player who also plays selective timing defense. I don't think that can qualify him as the greatest basketball player to ever live. My definition of GOAT means the player needs to be a lethal scorer, not a good finisher who depends on initiating contact to score the majority of his points.

@@CoveredInSports Yes. And when accounting for mental toughness, MJ without question is the GOAT. Bunch of young people point to stats but in terms of leading ability and overall mental part, MJ beats out not only Lebron but just about everyone else minus maybe Bird or Kobe (my #2 in the GOAT conversation)

I have a very similar perspective, we are in a era of highlights and people miss the details of a person's game. Kobe gets completely left out lol but it's sports media

@@CoveredInSports It's weird that even at Lebron's peak we all still knew Kobe was the best in the game, but now that Lebron has played so long people want to claim him as the GOAT. I don't think longevity means much. It's like people don't ever put Cal Ripken in the GOAT of baseball conversation even though his stats are godly. 19x All-Star. MVP in 2 decades. Everyone knows the GOAT is Barry Bonds.
