This was a very valiant effort nonetheless. For every successful repair or mod I have under my belt, there is a guarantee that two or three of that exact same device are somewhere in the no-fix abyss. Keep going!

I learned some very valuable things today: 1. As long as my New 3DS works, I will continue using it, no matter how it looks. 2. If an important component or the whole unit will stop working somehow, I will sell it as 'not working' and buy another working one, because 3. swapping or repairing anything within those overly complicated devices that have more than one screen and a hinge is at the moment way beyond my skills

Hi Marc, in my eyes, the 3DS is indeed not the best repairable console. But please don't give up; that was not the idea of this video. 😉 I just wanted to share a video that not everything will work out. 💪

@@CanWeFixThat I know disassemble -> clean -> reheat some contacts -> reassemble -> works perfectly. And I told my brother about it and he's going to give me his old GBC and GBA, because they have some issues.

I recently got the same pop issue when trying to do the USB c mod. It's a pain to disassemble the whole console just to see if you have any tears in the ribbon cables. I also popped a connector tab, so who knows if I'll be able to turn it on again

That is a very annoying issue the pop sound during the start-up. You could secure the ribbon cable with strong tape when the tap is broken.

Damn I just ordered the same kind of case (the grey one) 2 weeks ago and wanted to also switch the case and do the usb c mod, now I dont know if I want to anymore 😂. But thanks for your video it will be very helpful when I do the mod 👍, I love your videos.
