the 4070 is where the 4060ti should have been at in both name and at $400-450 if you use the 3070 as a metric vs the 2000 series where I believe it outperformed even a 2080ti where a 4070 can barely keep up with a vanilla 3080 and the 3060ti was outperforming a 2080 super at that sweet $400 price point. If a 4060ti can only match a 3070ti and 4060 match a 3060ti, that will be even more disappointing

As a German I would advise not to use the SS tier again 😬

@1rvnge well I kind of built a whole new pc with it. My old pc was rigged with a 10700k with a 5700 xt powercolor from micro center. It ran decently being able to tackle most games but I also wanted the option for raytracing and more stable frames. I didn't need the upgrade but I just wanted to future proof my pc. It feels much smoother and I can tackle almost anything. Tbh dude get a 6700 xt if you have the money to spare. It's good to future proof ur pc if ur planning to do a cpu upgrade later.

Definitely have to agree with your tier list. It really shows how out of touch Nvidea has been lately, and I say this as a fan of their past cards. I had actually grabbed a 3070Ti on sale earlier this year. But at this point, I know I'm just going to go with Radeon with my next upgrade. It just doesn't make sense to stay with Nvidea at this point. Speaking of the 3070TI though... I notice that it doesn't really come up when people compare cards. I wonder why that is.

@@fortunaf3 yes, i recommend amd really much if you are not going for 4090 level performance (7900xtx is at 4080 level btw), plus they are cheaper, also don't be lied about their bad drivers, those were a long long time ago.

The 6700 (non XT) is so underrated. Its $439 aud in where I live which is like $296 usd which is so value

The best value combination is still the 6700 XT paired with AMD 5600. Even if it is an old platform at this point, you still have an upgrade path with the 5800 X3D, which was very popular and should be readily available on the used market. And you can get cheap motherboards with PCI gen 4, so upgrading the GPU in the future should not be a problem either.

Another reason to get 6750xt over 6700xt is that its been released 2 years later which means its not really possible to mine on it. Good if you plan to upgrade from 6*50xt and sell it. It will be easier I think

Dude when I litteraly just saw the RX 6700 XT being that cheap for a gpu WITH A 12 GBs of VRAM and performs better than a RTX 3060, thats it man, the best mid tier GPU i've ever seen, I am planning in the future to buy it and hopefully it lowers down its price in the future, I can't wait to test the RX 6700 XT, super excited.

BTW due to yields being high and likely very low dofference in production cost, the 6650 XT essentially replaced the 6600 XT. Same with the 6950 XT vs 6600 XT.

I got AMD RX6800 over 2 years ago, and thought I messed up. But now looking at the VRAM situation, it was the best decision. 😅

hello brother! I bought 6800 in december last year. Amazing card with great power usage - only 160W after UV.

Im rocking a Rx590 for 6 years at this point and i'll probably a newer gpu later this year or beginning of next year. These tier lists help a lot to choose what to buy.

Idk if it is because if different regional pricing or because this video is almost 2 months old but as a German viewer the placing of the 6650 XT is VERY different. I can get it here for 236€ while the cheapest 6700 XT is still at 340€ and 7600 is at 270€. The 6650 XT is definitely the highest value per € here, right now.

I got good deal on the Sapphire Pulse 6800 and I love it. I was bit concerned about coil whine but only noticed it once or twice and the cooling is nothing to scoff at either. You need to undervolt and play with the fan curve. Never went above 70°, junction temp at around 81-83° max and my current airflow is limited. Gonna be fixed soon and will let you know if temps improved even more.

I'd love to buy one cause of the specs and price, but I've read a lot of mixed reviews about the drivers and has scared me away from buying one.

I have an RX 6700 XT and play Hellblade @1440p HDR at top settings, I get over 100fps.. Great card and well worth the cash..

Your list is pretty accurate. I run all my games at 1440p with ultra settings. I have 3 modern systems in my office for the grandkids to game on. 2 systems have 3070's and one has the 6700xt. I think the 3070 should rate a little higher (I really like nvidia drivers). The price of the 3070 is the main drawback of the card. I do agree with you on the 6700xt (I bought it to run Far Cry 6) and it's beautiful.

I really like your list for the most part. I'm not sold on the Intel cards though. Not that they are bad card, I'm just concerned if Intel will continue to make GPUs say in 12 to 18 months. And if they pull the plug on Intel GPUs will they keep up driver support for the A750/A770?

Well from the leaks it seems like they are going to keep going. As TSMC is working with Intel to produce Battlemage (Their next gen cards). I purchased a Intel ARC A750 and it has RTX 3060/3060 TI/RX 6700 like performance. So I doubt they would stop driver support due to the fact that they are already getting ready for their next gen.

@@mincraftgimer oh I would still buy a A750 over a 3060. Really not happy about Nvidia making two different 3060 cards with different vram and bus size. At this level Nvidia really are poor value. I didn't know Intel have engaged with TSMC to make battle mage. Last rumors I heard which were earlier this year was that Intel got cold feet and fired that dude they head hunted from AMD.

For a while it was looking rough for intel arc but they have really been pulling it together recently, they're definitely going to be continuing support.

The 6700's (and 6800S and 6800M) are rather odd cards considering their release and how they've been doing nowadays. It's not that they're bad, it's just funny to look back at the releases that were more on the "meh" side of things. They're rather hard to beat now. Intel's probably the next best go to. I just wished the ARCs had official VR support. It's a shame the 3060's and the 3070's have been left at the state they're at. I feel like where they shine the most have been laptops with 1080P gaming where the CPU's the component working the hardest. They're nice chips if paired with a 12th Gen Intel CPU at the minimum. Just like the 6700XT here though, the 6800m honestly had me wonder how this thing existed at its price point. An impressive unit if one can score a good deal.

The VRAM on the rx6700, rx6700xt, rx6750xt, rx6800, rx6800xt helps out a lot. But of those five it's the 6700xt, rx6800xt that are the go to GPUs. Unless you find a 6900xt or 6950xt or have the money for at least a rx7900xtx or rtx4090.

I am just starting the process on planning my first build. I decided to go on the more expensive side and really put an investment into this machine with a ryzen 7 7800x3d and a rx 6800 xt, so I am able to upgrade it with further and more recent am5 parts in the future instead of building a whole new system for another full cost. Planning to use the system for around 5 years then upgrade to a 9800x3d when it comes way down in price with a 4080 or something like that.

Got myself a 6650XT few days ago and i'm quite happy with its performance. Yes, 6700 was also available at same price but for that I would have to upgrade my PSU and that means extra added cost.

Sometimes the RX __50 cards can go on sale. This is when they can be better deals. I got the RX 6750 XT on sale, which was just around $20-30 more than the RX 6700 XT at the time. The RX 6700 XT is a great price, but man, this should be the launch price. It also sounds like AMD's driver team has been busy and performance has been increasing overall. I agree with Nvidia cards being overpriced. The chips are good but too expensive right now. I do favor them in laptops though.

The xx50 is the updated REPLACEMENT to the xx00 when it happens and the xx00 version isn't produced any more. That is pretty much it and the old version being leaner and on sale if available at all is happy accident situation.

6700XT is a beast at it's current price. I love it, perfect for 1440p gaming. Right now, the MSI version is only $320 at Newegg

Every gaming that has come out between 2020 and about early 2023 can run on high 1440p. Every game that came out before 2020 so like the Witcher 3 or AC can run them close to if not on ultra settings. You can also run them all at 4k on high. Then you have 1080p for the next 3 to 4 years the 6700xt will be the best bang for your buck 1080p ultra GPU. Yeah the 6700xt with the 12gigs of VRAM is great. I got it it when it was still over priced in Oct of 2021 so the year it came out. But now seeing the price and so many people saying to go for it. I'm happy with it.

The A770 is pretty powerful and the die size is larger than the 3070. It’s already competing with the 3060Ti in some cases. It’s aging like mamas homemade blueberry jam. The A750 I gave to admit is a banger for the money though. Nvidia can go sell their GPUs to MS for ChatGPT for all I care at this point. They are not for mainstream PC gamers.

Wish you mentioned frame rate and if these are good at 1080p or 4K

For me it is either the Arc A770 16GB or AMD RX 6750XT. They are both roughly the same price the Arc being just a bit cheaper. The AMD RX6800XT is at least another £150 at £570 minimum. If only I had the money to spend, lol.

I would like to see your take on "budget" cards, once AMD and Nvidia finally release one! I am not a hard core gamer, but occasionally would like to fire up an older title, and my embarrassingly old GPU need replacing, but NOT at over $150 for a castrated 1030 or gimped 6400. I think there are a lot of people like me, who want a good GPU for light gaming and better than IGP performance. ARC380 is the only GPU I can get excited about, but am willing to wait for a few more months. Fun fact, about a billion Dell, HP, Lenovo and other business class machines have PCIE 16 slots, and a lot of users are like me...willing to drop reasonable money to get the occasional low res gaming in, and maybe some transcoding for home media.

6650xt is more of a choice when you don't want to change 500w power supply to 650w. Plus, they are quite abundant on aftermarket unlike 6700, and they cost ~220$ so it's quite a deal.

Love my 6700xt but even now, at max settings (no RT) in a couple of games it's starting to struggle to keep 60fps at 1440p. That said, I have afew years left of use or just one notch the settings down.

I just got a 3070 for 300 bucks. And the difference in power between the 3070 and a 3060 is insane. People said i was dumb for that upgrade but i dont regret it one bit. Plus i sold the 3060 for 200 so...

Yeah but I'd be a bit worried about using high graphics on newer games at 1440p. 8gb is not enough. But for $300 it seems like a good deal.

@@deagle7602 i have a 1080p monitor right now so for me its not the biggest deal. The games i play are more competetive anyway so i go for higher frames more than quality. This upgrade helped both though being able to play at high/ultra with higher frames.

it seems to me that this is the case when it is worth paying extra and taking the 6800 XT and not worrying about it at all for the near future, because in fact it will cover all the needs

May I know what rank will the 6800 XT be? Thank you~!

Ima be real, how many games are running into this vram problem??? Like I only just upgraded from the 3070 but was doing just fine with it at 1440p high settings for everything so I just don’t get the panic. Of course more is great but are people really suffering out of no where? Unless I haven’t been paying attention it wasn’t an issue until the past like month or two

Just about anything that's developed for PS5 / Series X will require more VRAM. We're just a few months into the period where AAA games target those consoles.

Hogwarts, Modern Warfare 2, Jedi Survivor, Last of Us, and now Redfall have very high vram issues. Those have all released in the last 6 months.

@@ScatterVolt Gotcha, I haven't played most of those except MW2 on PS5 so I just haven't run into those issues. I just figured it could be fixed with patches and had been for those titles but that's me talking about something I don't know.

i made the right choice for purchasing the rx 6600. it runs basically everything at 65 - 75++ fps for triple A games at high to ultra settings depending on the game. it only draws 130w of power, meaning your can save your money with 500w psu. even a 450w psu can handle it. also, 8GB of GDDR6 vram? that is a bargain for 200 bucks. as a user, i highly recommend it if youre just starting to build the first gaming pc on a budget. and when you do upgrade to a, lets say, rx 6700 xt or rtx 3070, u will feel the drastic improvement in the future

I'd like to try Intel GPU's. But the SAM/ReBar requirements is kinda sending me off. Yeah, I'm still rocking the old trusy AM4 (X370+Ryzen 1600).

As and owner of an RX 6700XT I approve of this, some days i wish i had the RX 6800XT.

im in the market for upgrading my rx 580, which one of those gpus can fit with my meg ai1300?

I had a 6700 xt, excellent card, just sold it and bought a 6800 for its 16 gigs of ram because I like higher settings. Its about 25-45% faster than a 6700 xt, and if you undervolt both equally, the 6800 will use 10-20% less power, and be quietter. If you want to downclock it so its essentially the same speed as a 6700 xt, it will use 50% less power while using providing the same performance (which I'm doing for the time being). For example on cyberpunk, the 6700 xt will use 180 watts in benchmarking, while the 6800 uses 90, and the 6800 has higher 1%, so overall smoother. Get either card depending on your budget, but if you game a lot, the difference in price you'll make up for in power savings alone over a 3-4 year period while also not having to upgrade as soon. There's a lot of games coming out soon, especially unreal 5 engine games and studio's not needing to support last gen consoles, means games will be pushing the limit more on pc.

If you gamed 8 hours a day 365 days a year and god I hope your not that much of a loser haha but at most you would save like $70 a year at 8 hours every day at like .30 a kWh??? Not huge saving considering you should have about a 1/4 of that amount of gaming time. So most likely be saving $17 a year on electricity… if your paying more than $170 for the better card to undervolt it’s going to take close to 10years to make back that $170 premium. Haha

@@JoeWayne84 I'm paying .35 kWH, but its only expected to go up, and people in europe and asia pay .60-.80 kWH, so ya, over 3-4 years thats about $150.00-180.00 at 2 hrs a day. A lot of gamers game 4-5 hours, or 8 on weekends a 1-2 weekdays.

My thing is if $150 in electricity over the next 2-3 years scares you the last thing you need to do is be playing computer games haha. Your getting ripped off on power here in US where I’m at it’s .15 a kWh still . What do you live in Hawai the most expensive electric prices in US are close to .30 a kWh I think New Hampshire has usually highest prices with Hawaiian being .40 and Denmark the most expensive electric power on the globe is .50 a kWh.

@@JoeWayne84 Some people are poor and buy cards to last 5-6 years. Sometimes overbuying so that you get what you need now, like 1440p performance, then in a few years you can upclock to get more performance with minimal costs. Fyi, up until just a month ago, the 6800 was the most energy efficient fps per watt card ever created, so to say you could just wait and buy a new one with better gains may not of happened, it did but its behind a 600 underperforming 4070. Anyways just trying to be helpful and informative. Go bash poor people elsewhere.

RX6600 is consider budget not mid-range because RX6500XT & RTX3050 is simple downgrade instead of upgrade so RX6600 is budget king for me right now and Im glad they use Gddr6 instead of gddr6x that will get easy overheating. Intel is good but it lack of back compatibility like you need resizable bar which some old motherboard not have that option so it need new motherboard and it was new market and people less buy this gpu so there's not much used market I not count US market cuz I knew they will have use market but if count as globally it didnt have that kind of option. So for midrange option right now for me is for AMD RX6600, 6600XT & 6650XT. For Nvidia is RTX3060 & 3060ti

it was considered midrange because the performance almost in par with 3060 with a very better price than garbo 3050. This card smoked almost all nvidia budget card.

If you made this video about 10 days ago when NewEgg had the MSI Mech Radeon RX 6750 XT OC on sale for $329 with an additional $20 mail in rebate and a free copy of The Last of Us Part 1, I think it would've been up there at SS tier with the 6700xt. But as it stands, I can understand where it sits. Nothing right now beats the 6700xt in price to performance in the mid range market. Still, I'm happy I caught that sale!

Well I would be grading it’s value off of when it’s on sale, and not it’s usual selling price, so it’d be an inaccurate reflection. Still though, it’s a fairly power hungry graphics card for its price.

Arc a750 for 225$ or rx 6650 xt for 270$ what's the best choice for the price? ( we don't have rx 6700 here)?

The problem with the 6750XT, except for slightly faster memory ICs its the same exact GPU as the 6700XT but with a factory OC. You can OC the 6700XT yourself and get near same fps and temps no extra charge.

If im going to build a pc right now, (from zero, no upgrade from anywhere) Should i go am5 am4, 6800xt or 4070/4060ti? Budget 1500

I just upgraded to a RTX 3600 and an RX 6600 XT! It literally made me excited to play video games again 😂

While I agree that the drivers will probably mature well, I'm not convinced they're worth it YET. So, for now, I'd probably go with the 6600 or XT over an Arc card. But the way they're improving, I might change my opinion in the next couple months.

@@ScatterVolt I'm more concerned with having a good performing card on the day I buy it, not having to wait for it to become good, there are still a lot of issues with Arc. I do believe they will get there, but I don't think they are there yet.

I did exactly the same thing, Ans just upgraded my CPU from Ryzen 5 3600 to Ryzen 7 5800X 3D and it's amazing. Getting a 1440p 144hz monitor next!

​@@ScatterVolt yep get something with 16 gb and it games great but from my experience team green runs a bit better I would recommend the rtx 3060 12gb if you don't wanna break the bank or go with a Rx 6800 non xt you can find these second hand for about 400

3060 12gb is also selling good because of AI/ML, is simply the cheapest nvidia card with 12gb of vram and amd/intel are years behind nvidia when it comes to AI.

It is one I recommend for amateur AI work, and what I would probably buy now if I hadn’t bought a 3050 last summer when the price of that went from horrendous to very bad. We’ll see where AMD and Intel go in the future-I expect they’ll be improving their AI support.

The thing is, for professional workstation market, the RTX A2000 also gets the same 12GB of VRAM with similar cuda cores as the RTX 3060. Might as well save the money and get the GeForce card. This is unlike the upper range RTX A4000 where you get twice the memory but with the same cuda cores as the RTX 3070Ti..

Use the information for future upgrades. If I was you I’d save for a 7900xt you’ll be set for a long time. The 7900xt is soon be known as a 1080ti if this gen. £900 for a card that will match a 3090ti and 4080

I jus picked up an RX6700 XT Aorus Elite for sub $250, brand new still sealed in its original box. It was listed "Open Box" but the factory seals were still in place, its never even been opened.

i want to build a streaming only pc, after watching the vid the RX6700 has my attention i just dont know much when it comes to pairing it with right motherboard and other parts

As a gamer, this list make so much sense. But as a designer/3d artist, it's sad that we're stuck with Nvidia gpus because they're the most optimized. Amd gpus just can't offer that kind of reliability to the table, I tried using a pc with amd gpu for a week and it was hell, a lot of crashes when i render/export files and it wasn't an enjoyable experience.
