@@ScatterVolt thanks didn't know about that! I am curious to see if there will be any discounts during Amazon Prime Day as for Italy on Amazon currently cards such as RTX4060 cost about 330 euro that is the MSRP price. Considering that RX 6650 XT cost aprox 250 euros, maybe if the rtx would go down to 300 then I would favor for sure RTX 4060 to RX 6650XT for a 50 euro difference. I am currently using still R9 380 and considering that the last AMD driver was 2022-06-23 meanwhile cards such as GTX 1060 still release driver updates having the same release date in 2015, I would say it's still worth more RTX if it cost slightly more than AMD counterpart. I wish there would be a higher price/perf ratio for AMD but unfortunately somehow AMD managed to release RX 7600/RX 7600 XT that have awfull price/performance ratio... I am wondering if they also don't counter very much about customers as NVIDIA as well at this point :D
You give me hope that by Christmas I will have an amazing PC. I can’t explain how much you sound like a amazing friend ❤

I have a question about the RX 7900 XTX, it's ray-tracing capabilities aren't as good as the Nvidia cards, but is it possible this will be improved through driver updates? Or can it only be better if the actual hardware is improved?
@katser5023
12 күн бұрын
Ray tracing is overrated bro. Cuts your performance in half, even on Nvidia cards and rely on upscaling to even have decent frames. Most games that have ray tracing just implement it and aren't even optimized.
@frantz4g63
8 күн бұрын
@katser5023 ray tracing settings are customizable, so it doesn't just simply cut your performance in half. In a game like Control, where the ray tracing is pretty significant, where you would get 4k 120fps, enabling all forms of ray tracing only drops you down to roughly the 80-90fps territory. And that's with every single setting completely turned to their peak, which in most cases, is unnecessary, since that game even supports ray tracing on debris for destruction effects. RTGI, RTAO, RT Reflections and Shadows are typically the main targets, and in most cases, will not cut performance in half on a high-end RTX card. It really just comes down to user preference whether ray tracing is necessary or not. Now I do agree that optimization leaves a bit to be desired, but an Nvidia GPU is the go-to for anyone that wants to scratch that ray tracing itch.
That 4070 super is a French kiss of a GPU. Don’t let the 12 gb vram fool you. You’re essentially buying 3090 plus DLSS 3 Frame Gen and a much lower power consumption. I’m really in love with this card.

I always had to tell this with people. You don’t have to max out all your games. Also it all depends on the games you play. If you play a bunch of triple A games often then yes get atleast 16gb especially for playing at 4k. But if you plan to buy a couple of the newest releases per year at 1440p then 12 gb is enough. Also up scaling is the way now, which DLSS helps with lowering down VRAM usage. All im saying is the vram issue isn’t as big of an issue as you think it is. It’s all based on what you play on how you want to play them. I play MW3 on balanced settings with DLSS Quality just so I can get the 240 fps for my monitor and I am fine with it. Plus some games be unoptimized like crap and allocating a crap Ton of VRAM even if you have like 16 gb. So VRAM thing isnt an issue unless you yourself wanna make it into an issue, then by all means get a 16 or 24 gb gpu
I love these monthly recommendations

Does that value the money?
Glad that I did not but the 4060 gpu instead went with the 7600 XT, and paired it with the 7600 X cpu.
Should I pair the I5 13400f with arc a750 or rtx 3060? My brother suggested buying rtx 3060 due to its better performance and 12gb but actually I just play valorant, minecraft, league of legends and learn editing. What should I go for? Thank you for reading and answering
@BISWA369
6 күн бұрын
I would also recommend rtx 3060 12 gb It has better features like dlss for performance and especially it has 12 gb vram which will give you 4gb extra vram compared to a750 and will help you in heavy editing and it will also run new upcoming demanding games for the next 5 years atleast I would prefer rx 6600 xt or rx 6700 xt but since you need a gpu for editing getting a used rtx 3060 12gb would be the best choice for your budget Hope this helps :)

I disagree. For video editing. The A750/A770 is actually a killer card, just like what I mention in this video for the A580. The A750 features quicksync (you can decode nearly any kind of footage with it) and AV1 (next gen codec). The 3060 only has vram going for it. Even the 3060 lacks av1 and NVENC isn’t as complete as Quicksync is when it comes to decoding footage. I use Intel quicksync on my Intel processor to decode my Sony a7siii footage. If just used my 4090 then it wouldn’t be fast enough. Also the 3060 is ass, like I mention in all of my videos.

I think if you're shopping above $750 at this point I'd just wait for next gen to see what happens. AMD with the 8800XT could still bring 7900XTXish performance down in price to around $600 which would be really appealing, or the 5080 could surprise, or if you just wanna YOLO it on the 5090, do it.

@@ScatterVoltI won't replace my RX 6700 XT ever, even with a 5090 or 5080 as my next planned upgrade next year.
The 4060 is a fine GPU, as long as you don't try to run in 4K. At 1080p, the one in my HTPC plays plenty of games at good framerates, even with quality setting turned up high. If I want to play in 4K (which I rarely do), I go to my main machine with its 4080. This is 2024, where a Big Mac is upwards of $10. The days of a monster card like the GTX 1080 for $600 are over.

I have a 3070 and i use the dlss on a very small percentage of games... Honestly right now i would go the other way and get a 6750XT with extra vram . Just my opinion.
6600 is the ultimate price to performance card, where i live its 220 and the 6650xt is 280, paying 60 for 10 fps more is insane

I am between choosing the 4080 Super and 7900 XTX for my first build. I would use it for productivity (game development, machine learning softwares etc) but for gaming equally. Which one would you use in that matter? Can you help me a little bit to get this straight? Thank you!

Without ray tracing, 7900xtx is hit or miss against the 4080s, but with ray tracing involved, 4080s hands down. All comes down to your preference of use.

@bombard8325 even better. I debated on getting a 4090 over a 4080 Super, but I couldn't justify spending an additional $600-700+tax for give/take 25% more performance. The 4090 is amazing, but for most cases, it's complete overkill for my aim. Glad you found a deal on one. If I could've got one for cheaper than $1600, I probably would've went for it.

We need a new second hand GPU tier list. Last one is nearly 1 year old and the market moved quite a bit since then
Hey, i have a few gpus to sell but i dont know what to list them at, i have a 6750xt (new) as an asrock replacement but the rma took so long i just bought a 6800xt for myself i also have a 5700xt (used) was thinking to do $165 shipped
i have a 7900gre and for 1440p i can play any game at over 140 fps with some exceptions at ultra settings in some newer ones (due to optimization probably because new games are made for nvidia drivers better) , but it is serving well worth the money . I would go for a 7800xt but here it cost 540$ for some odd reason (probably because the media is promoting it and it increased in price) , so the GRE was the perfect one for just 30 more $ .
Really thought about getting a 6650xt with my R5 5600, but a brand new Rx 7600 was on a deal for $230 usd (exact same price as the 6650xt) so it was a no brainer for me to get the Rx 7600.

Hello scattervolt, I am going to build my first pc for gaming. I want 1440p high fps, i would play valorant, pubg pc, rocket league, cs2, cod, gta5 (priority of games in this order). I am planning to have a r5 7600x with 16g of ddr5 ram 1tb ssd but not sure about the graphic card. I want to spend around 400$. I was initially planning to buy 4060ti 8bg but now I'm confused to go for 7700xt or 4060ti or any other option. Will dlss and frame gen be a good thing with nvidia and amd for the following games. Ps: i want it to be future proof aswell. Not a big fan of AAA games but i want fps shooter on 1st priority then AAA games.

In most of these fps games you dont provid from upscaling, frame gen or raytracing. In this case i would go for raw performance. So go for 7700xt or 6800 if you can find it for a better price. With 12gb vram you are fine at 1080p for quite some years in 1080p. 8gb is still fine for 1080p but wouldnt recommend to get one these days unless it doesnt fit in your budget. I would also go for 32ram tho since 16gb will fit up kinda fast these days and if you want to have lot of other tavs open while gaming you are really likely to use more than 16gb ram.

@@sahilobhrai8216 if 6800 is more expensive, go for 7700xt. 7700xt level performance should be fine to hit such framerates in these games at 1440p. Especially with some more competitive settings. And as I said 16gb ram wont be enough if you have lot of other tabs open like many chrome/edge tabs, discord and other software. Yesterday i had no game open and i used almost 15gb ram due to some bit of edge tabs. lmao Hardware Unboxed made a video some days ago comparing ram usage. I suggest you to watch this one so you can see how much ram games can take these days and if there are some you might want to play and they take lot of ram you should consider to get 32gb.
What will be a good one for people who play five m on pc

Hi, i recently found two PCs on Facebook marketplace one is only a case, it has a rtx 3070 ti with a Ryzen 7 5800x for 775$ (negotiable). The other one is a full setup for 950$, it has an RTX 4060 ti 16gb and an i5 12400f. Which one should i buy ?
@fleurdewin7958

In terms of raw raster performance , the 3070Ti will beat the 4060Ti hands down , even the earlier RTX3070 is more powerful. The 3070Ti core is powerful but the 8GB VRAM is such a bummer, 7 years ago, the GTX1080 launched with 8GB of VRAM, now in 2024 you're getting the same 8GB VRAM buffer. Like meh... The 16GB 4060Ti you can think about it but for $950 , the rig is abit expensive, and Frame Gen (FG) are not implemented in all games. Enabling FG actually eats up additional 1GB of VRAM, so the 16GB is abit useful here compare to the 8GB variant. However I'll say, aim for something with a RX6800(XT) or RTX3080 .
