    As a kid, I used to love watching the sky. Somehow I forget how spectacular and extraordinary the sky really is. Imagine: just above our heads, stands an infinite space deeper than all of the abysses.

    It is a far better way to improve eyesight as compared to the rocking method you told. Because i have tried rocking method and it did not do anything to my eyesight. But when i went and played football somedays during sunlight. I noticed my eyesight has gone from 20/40 to 20/20. But i then stopped playing football and continued the bad habits of using phone without breaks. My eye muscles locked up again. And I couldn’t see the 20/40 line clearly. Then when you uploaded this video. The next day in the morning, i went outside to my terrace and gazed at the sky, after around 2-3 minutes of this, i went inside my room and looked at the snellen chart, i could see the 20/25 line. When I noticed this huge improvement, I immediately knew that when i played football, i looked at the sky as well when the ball was in the air, that helped release the ciliary spasm of my eyes. I do this daily now and my eyesight is getting better day by day with the help of Allah

    This is a Bates technique. It also work by looking at a distant blank wall. Because the effort to see causes strain. Looking at something blank prevents the effort and flushes away eye strain

    I learned this before I even started reading the Bates Method but you're absolutely right. I like to call this palming 2.0. It's much like palming without palming. Once someone learns as relaxed as you can become looking at the sky, you should look at everything in life the same way. Sharpness and clarity can come almost immediately by doing so.

    I was facing hearing sensitivity and then I realized it was I was sleeping only on one side every night, so ear pressure gets unbalanced. I also learn to pop in and pop out ears by holding nostrils and breathe in or out and trying to pop out/in ears. I see many People doing that with no rwason, but now I know, they are controlling The sound The enters their ears. It makes voixe deeper as well, air does not passes through ears when it "clogged".

    Hey Mark. This is spot on advice. Thanks 😊 I have two questions. 1. i wanted to know what is your view on warm lights. How to incorporate it in daily life. 2. As i am a student i do a lot of online reading so i generally print out all the material and read rather from laptop or kindle. Is it a good practice or I'm unnecessarily putting efforts in printing all the material.

  • @MyopiaIsMental

    @MyopiaIsMental

    As for warm lights, why use artificial lights when naturally light is so much better and so good for you. Indoors I prefer to use daylight balance lights but I also balance that with plenty of naturally light when I can. As for as print vs screens. I don't think one is any better than the other. It you are overly focused on either it can lead to tension. The key is to not become so wrapped up into the thing you're looking at that you see nothing else. Always be aware of what is around you.

    my no. 1 priority is getting rid of or ignoring/cancelling (don't know if this is possible) my floaters bc they get in the way constantly when I try to tackle my other vision problems. a mundane task like looking at the sky for ex causes significant strain on my eyes as floaters clogging up and dancing around my fovia simulate "close up" strain when I'm actually not doing any close up work, I'm trying to do the opposite of relaxing my eyes. also I suspect a severe case of floaters is like minor exotropia & esotropia, and causes one's eyes to actually develop or worsen such deviations... bc the floater on either left or right eye pulls that one eye in a random direction that it shouldn't be headed to. convergence insufficiency, intermittent exotropia, visual snow, etc... and obviously myopia are I think later problems for me. will I ever win against my floaters ?

    Look up or downl will relax eyes as yawn and vomiting reflex. I ve been observing friends who have more relaxed look and they lick their lips more often, they put their tongue out more frequently than me. Other thing I observed we as animals we put our tongue out to show that we did not agree with something, bc tongue out relax eyes. We do this to remove that image from our mind. But our parents taught us that s a bad habit show the tongue lol

    Marc when I gaze sky it feels like closing my eyes or keep blinking and can't hold my eyes for too long 15seconds or so. this is been always the case since childhood not even though its not bright sky I can see outside but can't hold my eyes to the sky without blinking it feels its quiet too much light for some reason

  • @MyopiaIsMental

    @MyopiaIsMental

    4 күн бұрын

    One of the reasons I believe we are myopic is because our eyes can't handle bright light. However, the more time you spend in light, even if you have to blink a lot at first, the more your eyes will get used to the bright light. I was much like this when I first started learning to improve my eyesight. I used to wear sunglasses all the time. Now I don't wear them at all. I can look at the sky for hours and relax.

    You're welcome! Consider this... the sky doesn't have to be blue! Overcast grey skies with little contrast work just as well. Also note no matter what your eye color is, many people who are myopic have sensitivity to bright light. I was in the same boat as well when I first started and didn't like to be in bright sun. Now it's the opposite. I don't wear sunglasses at all and prefer brighter environments over darker ones.

    Something to think about... Is it really the case that your eyes are more relaxed in front of a computer or the fact that you spend little time outside that they don't know how to relax when they are outside? I think you may find the more you make yourself go outside and watch the sky, you'll find it will become more relaxing than being in front of a screen.
