When you had the two wireless mics together, it did sound cleaner and more rich. The lavalier mic really did make difference on top of sounding better! Thanks for the video!

Great review! Thanx! I will definetly go for it. CoMica BoomX-D-UC RX Type-C + CoMica BoomX-D2 (RX+2TX). 6:26 Just a little addition. You can adjust mono/stereo record mode, thus mixing 2 sources (writing mic 1 to the Left and mic 2 to the Right) to manually twick them while video editing. It might come in handy once two people are speaking at different volume.

This was the best review of the comica mic system I've seen. Do you know if the USB receiver would act as an audio out for the macbook as well or is the headphone jack of the receiver just for monitoring the incoming audio?

Nice video. What is the recommended setting for the db level the mic?

I think without the lav mic we have a lot of white noise which can be handled in post. but asides that, its good audio. Its so clear with the mac.

Hi and thanks for your video! I have a doubt. Can it be used with just the audio recorder app of the phone? I assume that it's possible, and that would be nice for recording the audio and pairing with the image from the dslr when needed. And, is the audio from the headphone jack nice? So I can use it for the audio entrance on the camera if I need it. Thanks in advance!!! 😊

@@TrendingReviews However, there's a hiss. Were you able to eliminate it in post? On paper it looks like a decent mic system, but the audio isn't commensurate with $250, imho.

Sounds like it has enough sensitivity to make simple videos, recording an acoustic guitar, etc. Is it omnidirectional?

Thank you for the sub! I actually haven't found a way to setup bluetooth headphones to monitor myself. Sometimes I just put wired headphones into the receiver and then speak into the TX to hear the audio quality. But usually I leave the TX at a distance and then use my wired headphones to monitor background/white noise levels. And I adjust volume accordingly based on that. But if I do find a way to monitor via bluetooth, I will post a comment back!

For the iPhone, you have to get the other model, that has the lightning port adapter, for it to work with iPhones. I don't have that one to test it unfortunately, but don't predict it to be much of a problem, especially when using with a gimbal.

3:44 you kept covering the microphone of the one on the right, but we heard no discernible difference in audio or the sound of your finger touching the microphone. Are you sure that audio you are playing includes that microphone? I'm skeptical based on what I was seeing and hearing. Also, we could hear you putting them down on the table while you were talking, and the audio source did not change but the sound did not change either when moving them further away.

Yes thats right. No charge needed for that - runs off phone power.

Really sounded better with the 2 transmitters.. a warmer, richer sound. Sounds "sharp" with just one.

I'm 95 % sure you can use this amazing wireless transmitter to multi cam live stream through OBS !

The USB receiver for the smartphone is flawed in so much as there is no additional charging port so relies on battery levels of the phone - and the phone cannot be charged whilst in use.

Transmitter will not fit into my Iphone because of the phone case. I'm not going to remove the case and risk dropping. Anyone found a solution? Custom case or some type of USB C extender? Thanks

I have to take my case off - but ended up buying a really slim phone case that makes it work directly - wouldn't recommend a USB-C extender to use this, otherwise its pointless having this mic set.

There is much hissing noise, is it because volume settings in the usbc receiver was set too high?

No - it's because of the 2.4GHz frequency band it operates in, which is the same frequency WiFi operates in, and where I was, in an office building, there are many WiFi hotspots/routers all over the place that interfere, and cause that hissing sound. If there were no WiFi around - this would be super clear.

I cant find anywhere if it tells me that it works with the samsungs20 ultra, would you know ?

Yes, it will work as S20 Ultra is a USB-C powered phone so it should be absolutely fine with that.

Does it require its apps or just plug and play ??

For me, it didn't work with a case. I had to take it off. Depends how incredible thin your case is tbh.

I can hear microphone hissing that is annoying. Still sounds like you are in a highly echoing room. Im sure the room you are in is one of the issues and maybe the 2.4 GHz transmitters and receivers competing with other devices using the same frequencies. I like the UHF version better.

It's definitely due to the room/space I am filming in because there is constant fan/conditioning noises from the ceiling panel, and the rooms in the building generally is very echoey and has bad acoustics.

@@TrendingReviews I just recently tested the BoomX-D MI 2 and the Boom X-U 2. The MI has audio hiss and the X-U does not. Same room same situation. I'd say it's picking up some 2.4Gz static while the UHF is not. I like the UHF sound quality better. The MI is OK but the X-U is better.
