    Funny how they mention that they would want Blackmagic to do both a small box camera and an 80x80 video hub and one month later they release those exact things. Great video by the way!

    Quick suggestion about the power off buttons at 23:20: Create another folder within streamdeck and when one of those two buttons is pressed, the "power off" folder opens up and at a different section of the streamdeck the actual buttons appear to shut down all the racks. And in the bottom left you'll get back to your main screen again.

    Its so cool to see a Studio that was built from ground up with current day technology. The broadcasting company I work for was founded in the 60s. Therefore every upgrade has to be somewhat backwards compatible, resulting in less efficient workflows.

    1:44 Interesting to see the Axibo PT4 head and rail systems in use here. I use the PT4 controller to adjust the iris on a camera 2,300 metres away via ethernet, here in the UK at Eton Dorney rowing lake. It's a fantastic piece of kit all round. The PTZ auto-tracking on the PT4 is outstanding for the money.

    with the lv1 and audiomovers based off it wont support 3rd party plugins...are you sending soundgrid to another pc/mac to then use the standalone audiomovers app? Or are you bussing ASIO1 and 2 to the local lv1 machine and then using the app? Thanks.

    The most interesting presentation I ever seen about this new technology and way of working, good job. I have specifically a question for Morgan. Did you connect every Ultimatte 4K on each node of your computers cluster or did you connect all Ultimatte 4K on your main node. What is the software you are using to manage your cluster ?

  • @MorganHiu

    @MorganHiu

    Each computer has a decklink card that sends the background to their own Ultimatte. I’m using Switchboard to manage the machine and to launch the project across all six machines. Then they join a multi user session hosted on the 1st unreal machine so I can make real time changes to the project and it populate across all the machines.

  • @akyhne

    Blackmagic Ultimatte 12. They are so effective, you can take a glass bottle, fill it half with water, hold it in front of a green screen, and all green will be removed. Without deleting any of the bottle.

    So, they didn't talk about it, but one of the minimacs in the racks is clearly running VirtMop 3.0. I believe they can just hit a button on the stream deck to wipe everything down. Unfortunately AutoWring is still in beta, so that's a manual process right now, but yeah such a small room there's enough capacity they only need to do that once a day. Hopefully they are recycling it though rather than just dumping it in parking lot...green pollution can be pretty damaging.

    how do you run video from mac mini to monitor? mac mini - hdmi to sdi - blackmagic switch - sdi to hdi - monitor? or do you use different mode, maybe fiber cable(thunderbolt or displayport)? other than that very nice video

    Isaac from the team here - Much of the time we interface with our computers through Jump Desktop! The majority of the macs are inside our racks then run through teranex converters then go through roughly the sequence described. However we have a few that are directly hooked up to monitors - but this is mostly due to us being out of space on the racks and the videohub!
