The BEST Quality of Life Changes in Tears of the Kingdom! (No Spoilers)
Ойындар
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been out and I already
dove deep into the game! I've been loving it since launch and put over
100 hours as of this video. There are dozens of amazing changes made to this game, including a better story, better music, and better gameplay. However, I believe the quality of life improvements made to this game, especially to the user interface, help make Tears of the Kingdom a much better game than Breath of the Wild. So today I wanted to talk about some of the best quality of life improvements that I found while playing the first 100 hours of the game, I also share my suggestions/critiques for how Nintendo could improve their UI and add further quality of life changes in their future titles, especially for the Switch 2.
There are NO SPOILERS of Tears of the Kingdom in this video, so feel free to watch this video if you haven't gotten the game yet.
Let me know in the comments below what you think of these quality of life changes, and what you think about Tears of the Kingdom!

Thank you everyone for the awesome support and love on this video! It's the most popular video on the channel in 6 years, and I appreciate the feedback and positive comments. With that said, which topic should I tackle next: the design for the Wii Menu or the UI in Street Fighter 6? Let me know down below. ⬇
What a great video! You have some really good points and insightful comments. I never even thought about accessibility features, and I do think they're really important. Nice job, man!

Thank you! It’s heartbreaking to see Nintendo being behind the times with the amazing advances in accessibility options in indie games and AAA titles (like God of War Ragnarok). Hopefully they add them in their future games!
this needs more views

True
This is a really well done video that deserves more views
really love the intro reminiscent of the wii start screen. imo, it doesn't even need the logo that follows after. nice vid!

Thank you! I’m glad you noticed that detail. The Wii and the Wii Menu were a staple of my childhood so I loved making the intro and paying homage to them. I can see where you’re coming from but I’m worried getting rid of the logo would cut the intro short, making it feel like something’s missing from it. I’ll keep that suggestion in mind though!
amazing video, I was accidentally spoiled for a lot of new items seeing your inventory :(. still deserves a sub tho :)
Great video! I definitely think Nintendo should focus more on accessibility features. I’m 70 hours in and still fumble with the controls.

Yeah, I still keep pressing Up on the D-Pad when I mean to press L for the Ability Wheel. I’ve also noticed sometimes it’s a bit finicky to switch between different abilities. Thank you for enjoying the video! 😊
So glad this popped up in my feed, Had to follow!

Thank you! I wanted to get these points out there as a fan of Game UI and Tears of the Kingdom so I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😊
keep it up man 👍
Wait...I forgot about the shrine sensor....theres a shrine sensor in this game?

Yes, though you have to unlock it I believe.
Am I the only one that sees a "Special Controls" or similar button by save and load? I haven't looked at it but that seems like it'd be an accessibility thing. I don't see it on your screen tho

While still maybe useful to some, I think that is just a list of short tutorial type things that the game has previously shown you. Stuff like parry, shield surf, flurry rush, etc.

Yeah, I’ve seen it before and I believe it’s just a tutorial on specific game mechanics. That could’ve been a good opportunity to use that menu for accessibility options.

@@AquaTwist_ gotcha. Thanks
just a bit of advice, talk slower it feels like ur compressing your voice too much
@AquaTwist_
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the advice, the compression probably comes from me trying to cut out all the breaths in between audio clips, resulting in sentences starting quicker than usual. I’ll keep this in mind for future videos.

@@AquaTwist_ Personally I liked how fast you talk, the video kept my attention much better than these types of videos usually do
