What I like best about this character is that he serves no purpose except inserting "sea talk" into the show, which is exactly what the writers intended for him

Missed the best one. When Flanders created the religious theme park. On the opening day, everyone from town went to the park. Everything about it was terrible. As the townspeople were leaving the park, they were complaining loudly about how bad it was. As the Sea Captain left, he said "Yar, she blows".

Which I like sense when it comes to British accents in American media it's always the London accent that's imitated the most so it's actually nice to hear other kinds of British accents in American media like the west country accent
