This is a great device for grapplers. I have neck injuries which this has helped me recover from and wish I had this when competing maybe some of those injuries could have been avoided.

This product is already obnoxiously overpriced, and they feel it's acceptable to charge hundreds for a dial. The profit margins off of a product like this are insane. Especially since this product is just another way to use an already expensive cable machine...

@@avinashtyagi2 neckflex can do partial head rotation if you run a chain or band through the head loops a certain way. But overall, most sources say that the main workout for the neck is just forward, back, side to side. Neckflex is great at all of those. Neck flex does let you put a band through a door anchor, then attach it to loops on opposite sides. This gives nice resistance. This device is mostly just aimed at the one attachment point, which can work, but it means you'd need two bands for that same resistance, or you'd have to stand far from your anchor point.

@@gsaugust i assume you know what a laying leg curl machine looks like. you lay on the machine with your stomach, but facing the other direction. you then place your head under the cushion, where the legs usually go. then you lift up the cushion with the back of your head basically by curling your neck backwards. hope this is understandable. my hands usually rest on the surface where you lay down on up about chest height for stability, as if you were doing a push up. but you exclusively curl the weight with your rear neck and try not to get other muscles involved. very light weight will do more than enough damage, i sometimes have neck soreness for days even though i been training neck for quite some time with a designated neck day. neck and shoulder day to be precise, by far my favorite day in the week. the trap and rear delt pump after doing shoulders together with moderate weight shrugs, neck curls with the machine and facepulls is just nasty bro, straight up nasty! i don't wanna bore you, but let me just tell you one more thing, since it seems you are interested in developing your neck. since doing this neck day every 5 training days, my neck went from being my weakest feature to being on of my most complimented ones. even though its obviously still nothing to brag about since its not that huge thick kind of neck that enhanced people tend to develope. but still, for natty training i think having a neck routine is almost as important as doing legs chest or back to really round out the physique. now my arms are by far my weakest feature on my body. so if you have any ground breaking stuff for arms let me know bro :)

@johnnyolsen-fe5mp in my opinion no. The adjustment for additional tension on mine doesn’t work well now. It doesn’t loosen and tighten as it should. If I had to do it over I’d get a basic model and buy an additional higher tension bungee band or two and get the traditional neck harness that uses weights instead. I’ve been thinking of reaching out to iron neck to see if they won’t send be a new pro as mine doesn’t work as designed. All in all I feel the iron neck is a must have for neck health and combat sports. It’s made a big difference for me.

@johnnyolsen-fe5mp I can’t say for certain, but don’t feel it made my neck bigger. I think using a harness with weight has made it grow. Pt’s overwhelmingly recommend the iron neck to everyone with neck issues. I don’t thing the tensioner on the halo is worth it. I’d get the basic model and maybe a higher tension bungee instead.
