Yes I was thinking the same thing if you've ever messed with mullein you'll know it, you itch all over, great for respiratory issues but I would not suggest ever using it as t.p!!!! 😮

I grow almost all of our own herbs. There are a few that don't work for me when I want them, but it's a learning experience. And you can save SO MUCH MONEY by growing your own herbs.
I love Mullein! I have been using it over the last 2 years for my lungs, (COPD,asthma,Sinuses) it has been a life changer.

How do you take it? I've heard people say Hot Tea, Tinctures, capsules? What have you tried and if you've tried more than one, which do you prefer? TIA ❤

This is one of my favorite topics with your channel. I am a somewhat homesteader. Not much acreage, but I pack it in to every square foot. Grow my own veggies, can, freeze, dehydrate, etc... I have started getting into growing herbs for cooking and also for teas. The tea herbs so far consist of chamomile, 5 types of basils, mints. I also have my cooking herbs in my butterfly garden, as the caterpillar butterfly in the making love to feed off them. But I would love to learn more from you on the medicinal herbs to plant and how to use. Thanks for this video thta was very informative:) Please do more.
Thank you so much. There so many times I want to ask you what to use for stuff. But I cannot become a member to get information. So I'm listening to this tonight. Thank you SO MUCH
Love the herbal informatives!!
I love herbs! Thanks for all the information!
Love your channel and your "realness"! I have elderberry, mullein, and several other wild medicinal plants here. I also have things like Rosemary and Lavender growing. My favorites this time of year are (of course) Elderberry, Echinacea, garlic, and ginger. I chop up garlic and ginger, put it in raw honey, and eat a teaspoon daily during the winter. Blessings!
I have elderberry syrup in the fridge. I add it to my daily hydration drink I also made gummies from it😊
I love the knowledge and information that you have given me,I wish I was somewhere rfat I could grab my garden 🏡
So helpful explaining what herbs are good for what ailment. Thank you. I especially appreciate you sharing knowledge. It doesn't bring an income (except through monetizing the video) like selling through the store but it does reveal your heart and priorities. The reason I watch your channel. And I'm inclined to buy from your store when not feeling pushed or pressured by sales tactics. Bless you.

You can also harvest Rose of Sharron. It's also a hibiscus & grows in the northern states. It has the same properties as the tropical hibiscus...you should try it :)

I just have a yard to plant in. I am really interested in planting herbs this year. Thank you for this list. Are there any plants that like mostly shade? I have a bed at the front of my house that is waiting on plants, I just don't know what to plant. God bless you all!+

Not an herb but I highly suggest adding balsamic vinager to your diet. We add as salad dressing and cook with it. It was a notable difference in my husbands sugar with it and without. Do some research and see if it's right for you.
If you use mullein as a tea, always run it through a cloth before you drink it, it has those tiny hairs, you shouldn’t drink.
I can’t grow elderberries or blackberries. The field across the road is sprayed over head by plane & they never produce berries. Once I had them when fuel prices were to high during lockdown.
Up here in Pa, Hibiscus grows and winters over just fine here. My mom has a red one just like what was in your pop-up picture. We were a 5b here, but this year they upped us up to 6 now because of how the weather patterns have changed. I have elderberry bushes here and didn't get one berry because of the birds helping themselves. I think I am going to maybe have to build a canopy over them and get them closed in over time so I can get some I can use. My Mullein here gets huge. I had one this year that got over 9 foot tall, definitely not a plant for a pot....lol It was actually growing in my hoophouse between two bricks. I managed to get it out, and I don't know how it made it, but it lived...lol Love my Mullein! lol Love your channel too, I learn so much from you both! ❤

I ordered food server hair coverings on Amazon to try next year; pretty inexpensive. They are breathable shower cap type coverings. I’ve read you place them over the berry cluster heads while green and protect them from the birds while ripening.

I used to get sick most season changes then one day I brought this tea at a shop called health 2000 here in nz the tea was called imuno boost I drank it one day when I felt like I was coming down with something and the next day it was gone and I didn't get sick again for 2 years when I had my first baby she took all my immunity 😅.
Great suggestions! Are thier specific Hibiscus that are more medicinal than others? We are in zone 10a Florida. I grow several Cranberry Hibiscus, but would love more.

@@cindissacredgarden1703 I just ordered seeds. I've grown them before, and made lots of jams and "Florida Cranberry sauce" with them. When I grew them...I kinda grew a lot more of them than we needed, and got really burned out processing the caylexes. I needed a year break from them! 🤣🤣 We had too much of a good thing! But, making a tincture from the blooms would reduce the amount of catlexes too... great suggestion! Thank you!

@@thewildingslanding I have tried here in Zone 7a to grow Roselle and only have had success with Hibiscus (Rose of Sharon) types, the flowers can be dried for tea but they do not produce calyx like Roselle does, nor the potency. I love the taste of the "cranberry sauce too"!!! Good luck, which I am sure you don't need ;-)
