    Suggest to wait for the next OTA and see if Xpeng actually provides updates as promised for 6-12 months. G9 performance owner with all options. Lots of great hardware, but huge let down by Xpeng not bug fixing 😱😭 Last update in November only fixed battery issues not assistant, heat pump/AC, etc. Frustrating

    Nice review! Just a couple of questions... It only has 2-speed (non-auto) windshield wipers? Does that work ok? I see that the blinker stalk always returns to the center position - does it notify you in any way when the blinkers auto-cancel? It annoys me to no end when I turn the blinkers back on when I'm actually trying to cancel it... I really don't know if all of these kind of stalks work the same.

    The auto works fine. I think i only changed that setting in 8000km. If you hit the blinker soft, it will blink 3 times and quit. If you hit it harder it will stay on untill your car is in a straight position again. I hope that answers your question

    Regarding the blinker question, I was just wondering if, when returning the wheels to the straight position, you know exactly when the blinker was (automatically) cancelled - other than just not hearing them anymore (on the regular stalks, there is no missing it popping back into center position). We have plenty of "soft" crossroads, where the blinkers will either auto-cancel or not, depending on a tiny bit of extra steering wheel rotation, so sometimes I end up turning the blinkers back on while trying to cancel (or going with the blinkers on for a few seconds when I thought it was enough to auto-cancel)... Annoying (to me), though not a big issue - just wondering if it is the same with other car brands. @@FamosSportConsultancy-oo2ps

    Ah, did not know this. Just see lots of newer reviews that sound promising and I love the car from the look and feel. It will be ready to order in Germany in April. So still some time to fix SW. But knowing that Volkswagen invested 700 Mio for the software lets me hope there is a maniacal focus on fixing. Alternative for me is Polestar3 (currently drive the PS2) and EL6 from Nio. Not made up my mind finally.

    VW´s investment is for chinese market, which Xpeng has industry-leading infotainment and ADAS experience. But when it comes to Europe they need to rewrite lots of software to fit the EU regulation and reality, plus they don’t have much engineering power in europe. So I think currently almost all CN cars in europe still need some time to fix their software.

    The discrepancy with these cars and this one in particular is, we still are in “button mode”. We want to activate everything by pressing or tapping “buttons”, digital or not. But the Chinese cars are very much concentrated on voice command. Actually they are very great in understanding speech. You basically can have a conversation with your car, instructing it to do what you want.

I tested most of the other Chinese luxury offerings here in on the channel, and none of them come close to this.

    Maybe, they have a lot of competition in this class in China that we don't have in Europe. Li Auto for example. It's also depends on how its priced compared to the competition, here in Norway its pretty cheap, all things considered.

  • @FUCKYOU6677

    @FUCKYOU6677

    @@-Loth- Li Auto is not purely electric, it operates as a hybrid. Chinese consumers perceive European brands as more "exclusive" than domestic ones, which is a significant factor influencing their preferences. However, Xpeng has been successful in China as a purely electric brand.

  • @dr.andersonsghost4315

    @dr.andersonsghost4315

    @@KrisRifa In China, there is insanely more competition in this class, or any class of vehicles for that matter. G9 is just another option and not really that highly regarded. Most Chinese EVs sold in Europe, including those from BYD, are mass segment EVs whose prices have long reached parity with their petrol counterparts, but in Europe they're somehow almost twice as expensive as in China and are therefore being compared to more premium offerings from their European counterparts based on their pricing. Moreover, their technical underpinnings are two to four generations behind what is considered cutting edge in China, which is why they're sold so cheaply there. In general, new Chinese EVs are probably at least five years ahead of their European counterparts, if not more. It really is a completely different world out there. The home market is by far the number one priority for Chinese carmakers, which explains why only a tiny fraction of their mass market and often technically obsolete models are exported and why their driver assistance features have been completely neutered, because they simply haven't bothered.

    Payload is often limited by the wheels and tires, not the car. Remember when I worked with wheels and tires ten years ago and the first Model S came out. It was a nightmare to find wheels and tires with enough weight ratings. With than being said. Payload is in addition to the driver. That means you can carry 91kgs of passengers. Don't think you are going to want to travel on any long trips with four 91kgs adults + the driver. You can carry say three adults passengers at 90kgs and still have around 100kgs for luggage. Don't understand why and how people are going to carry so much weight. Get a bigger car ;)
