IF YOUR GOAL IS TO MAKE YOUR BRACES LESS NOTICEABLE: I just got mine off, but I usually ended up getting a lavender color. My teeth are naturally more yellow, and the cooler color against it from a distance made my teeth look brighter. Even though lavender could be considered a pastel, it made my braces a lot less noticeable. Darker colors really bring out your braces, and even though the lavender would end up getting slightly stained, it wasnt such a pale color that it looked disgusting. So if your goal is to make your braces more subtle, I'd definitely go for lavender. Baby blue works too, but it stains more noticeably than lavender does. Also, i mostly had power bands, so i often had a solid color that covered everything and was very noticeable

i naturally have a yellowish hue to my teeth. Before i got braces everyone was saying "oH blue is the best color to make your teeth look whiter" i got blue and personally it made my teeth look more yellow. i tried dark purple because yellow and purple are on the opposite side of the color wheel. AND IT WORKED IT MADE MY TEETH LOOK SO MUCH WHITER- i would totally recommend dark purple 100% if you have a similar case as mine. hope this helps. 😁👍

For all the people in the comment section that are getting braces soon I’ll tell you my experience getting braces. I’ll try not to scare you, it wasn’t too bad. When I was at the orthodontist they glued the brackets on each tooth which took a while to dry up while they had a tube in my mouth to suck out the saliva. When they put the braces wires in, what I can say is this, it’s not like it hurts when they put the wires in (at that moment) but you can definitely feel the tension in the area of the gums as if the braces are already trying to work itself to make the teeth straight. About an hour later that’s when the soreness started to happen which continued for about 3 days. Trust me I was frustrated with that situation but after the soreness went away I was able to go back to eating regular things back to normal. But I hope everything goes well with you guys experience 😁and just for fun comment which color you guys want👇

Just a heads up to anyone thinking about baby blue-it’s honestly underrated, like I’m surprised everyone is hating on it. Light blue made my teeth look a little whiter, and it was overall really pretty and subtle looking. Over time it didn’t really stain, but turned a slightly lighter shade. Highly recommend it!

I always had rainbow, purple, silver, and blue. I only had rainbow when I had power chains because the colors didn't look like I had some sort of mouth funk going on. Silver power chains were my second favorite. Made my teeth look super good in photos :)

The first color actually picked was baby blue, and the bands didn't really stain. They stayed steady on one single color (what a miracle)

I got recommended to get braces today, we'll finalize it by next week after consultations with a senior doctor and im binging braces videos because I'm nervousss

Dw it doesn’t hurt that bad. I just got mine this weekend and felt it tightening after a few hours. Still can’t bite rn. It might feel unnatural or ‘feeling like it’s gonna come off’ but dw, it once its there, its gonna stay in there good. you’ll get used to it pretty soon. Soups and noodles/pasta are my top 2 foods bcs its easy to swallow immediately. Goodluck! You can do this!!✨👏

If I get braces, I will get light purple because that’s my favorite color cause you said pick your favorite color

i got black bands and they make my teeth look white as heck. black is definitely my go to, then dark purple (cuz my hair is purple) and navy blue. i guess not many people have seen navy blue bands at least it seems like it but i love them. my teeth aren’t necessarily yellow but they’re not super white so these three dark colors are my go to.

@@anastasiaprasad9221 getting them on doesn't, but your teeth do start to hurt, like a big bruise or a throbbing pain for about 2-3 days, after that, your cheeks get a little sore from the brackets and wire rubbing them, but that part is just a little uncomfortable 😁 hope all goes well

Hi! Remember everyone’s teeth is different :)) personally light colors look really good on my teeth. My teeth aren’t white but they aren’t yellow they lean more to the white but light colors make my teeth look even more white. Darker colors tend to make them a bit more darker? i have dark blue right now and it isn’t bad but i would rather go with light colors light purple, light blue, maybe pink i haven’t tried that yet :)) also for anyway new with braces i brush my teeth for 5 minutes, it’s a “lot” but this way my braces are clean. My ortho and dentist always compliment my cleaning on my braces. SET A TIMER! that’s the thing without a timer it’s boring have something to watch while brushing your teeth.

I feel like he’s that kind of guy who would be an awesome dad, uncle, friend, and so on lol

As a person who has purple braces which is one of my favourite colours and it fits me perfectly, i see this as an absolute win

I used navy blue and a medium purple the most besides silver. I did a duel color of fuchsia and teal once for summer break. I would do this specific duel again if I wore braces once more. It made my tan look really sweet.

I have light blue on right now and honestly I don’t think it’s that bad- but I love lavender

for ppl getting your braces soon, don't be scared you literally forget you have them. It took me a week to fully get used to mines but its so overrated. the only thing that irritates me is the food getting stuck in literally everywhere in your teeth. and I also have loose bracket lmao my ortho is gonna kill me I've been barely wearing my rubber bands pray for me.

Clear stains so easily though.

My personal rule was to avoid colors with red in them, especially pinks, because they were too close to my gum, tongue, and lip colors and it just didn't look right having those colors on my teeth as well. I also avoided yellows, whites, browns, and leafy greens. Because I didn't want the look of spinach, popcorn, and stained teeth. I tried dark greens and blues which looked good. But my favorite was teal.

@@myras2009 It was a dark forest green at Christmas time. It didn't remind me of food because of the season. But I learned that I favored the lighter and brighter teal.

@@alexayanez1145 I tried a dark purple and it was okay. I have purple coloration under my eyes and I felt that it brought it out which wasn't what I was going for. Lighter brighter purples felt too close to pink.

I don’t recommend black because I saw someone with black from a distance and it looked so weird like something was wrong with their teeth and just didn’t look very nice 😂

I 100% agree.... I found a random video on KZread and the thumbnail was the KZreadr wearing braces with black rubber bands.... And in a glance, her teeth look ugly... Until you look closer and realize that they're braces

He makes educational stuff super fun I would luv him as a teacher

my dentist did a color chart like they do for which season color are you for fashion and put them in their correct color drawers so it is easier to pick. they have more colors then the normal,

I had braces when I was high school. I used to have my appointments right before all the holidays and major school events. I used to do my colors according to those. Thankfully I didn’t need the full bands or rubber bands and was able to do more than one color. And my school colors were maroon and white and mine didn’t stain thankfully again. So for every major holiday I had colors associated with it lol

I looked online of what color compliments hazel and it said pink and that’s my favorite color and I put for braces and yea
