having braces actually made me realise dentistry and orthodontics was the course of studies i wanted to pursue (mid doing legal translation, a completely different course). so i dont even watch your videos cause i have braces its just MY PASSION. and im so happy i've discovered it. thank you for doing these videos, you inspire me so much ❤

I had braces in the third grade. I know it's unusual to get them so young, but I'm honestly glad I did. I had straight teeth all through grade school, which was one less thing to worry about as i also had glasses and undiagnosed autism. I was a weirdo, but my smile was a banger. 10/10

5:05, the funny part is that our dog legitimately chewed on my sisters retainer, lol. She's 22 now, probably been out of braces 7 8 years and surprisingly in that time, mostly retainer free, her teeth has not moved very much. She still has great teeth

I laid down in her bed and also ate, my retainer box was in my school bag and I didn’t feel like getting them because I was comfy and eating I got up to put my dish away and boom! I saw my dog

Out of all the dentists that use social media like he does I appreciate him talking about cross bites it’s what I suffer from and it’s not fun but I never really see dentists online talk about it at all amen to this guy for actually giving me motivation to brush and floss my teeth

I'm 52 and just got my second-time around braces off this past May. Wore them for 3 years! I had braces before at age 15 but later at 17 I lost my retainers in my then, boyfriend's car! :) So yep, had to get braces again much later on in life!

Im 30 and Im getting evaluated for braces in a few weeks after dealing with pretty bad gum/tartar/infection issues. I thought the only solution will be full implants but amazingly my teeth stabilized after the cleaning sessions. If i can get braces I know im in for quite a ride from these videos.

I’m getting braces in November or December, and my bottom row of teeth have crowding for sure. My lower canines are practically doing a full 90* turn towards each inner cheek. I also have an overbite too, but I wouldn’t say it’s crowded up there. I can’t wait to see how they’ll tackle it. 🥳

Im 8 months through my lightforce braces. Couldnt have standard braces due to my allergy to NiTi. But Im loving the way they looking so far! Hot pink and Black are my fave colours for braces🥰

I got my jaws moved by a metal face mask thing connected to a retainer inside, that had a screw that needed to be turned every week and this fixed my open+overbite throughout childhood and got braces in my teens to continue fixing the teeth in their normal position. the alternative would've been a jaw reconstruction surgery at 18 and having a messed up face/bite through all childhood and teens. Nowadays the non surgical treatments are even better and easier. Also I had white ceramic braces that were very discreet and that was nice

I’m 7 months into LightForce and I’m loving the results. Also, blue is my favorite color so I take whatever variety of blue o-ties and power chains my orthodontist offers and they do make your teeth look whiter. When they stain, the color fades into a blue grayish color at least for me.

I got my Damon braces on just over 2 weeks ago, and a spring coil to make room for my lateral incisor that is behind my front teeth My teeth are already moving and it’s great 😊

I have a overbite, But i don’t have to wear brackets but a twin block so that my lower jaw is pushed forward!

already had braces, they did all the brackets individually. Also its been like 2 or 3 years and my retainer has holes in it because i didnt realize i grind/clench

wish i saw this before i got lightforce brackets 8 weeks ago. fingers crossed they help reduce the amount of time i need to have them.

I have seen a crazy tooth video when an insisor tooth was completely turned around inside the gums. And this case you just saw at 6:30 is pretty wild. I always thought the open bite was from thumb sucking. 👍🏼👍🏼

Love your videos, I got braces in 6th grade because everytime I chewed my jaw would move side to side. I remember the first two weeks I was taking advil, for the pain, and it hurt. The orthodontist gave me wax to cover my braces. I also had on an expander that the glow in the dark. For about six months everynight, my mother would have to take a key and expand the expander on the roof of my mouth to expand my jaw. M I had my braces for for about three and half years, and I remember that everytime they tighten them it would hurt. When I got my braces tighten or the rubber bands change, depending on the holiday I would get holiday colors. When they came off it was a blessing and my teeth were straight. I got my retainer, however it hurt alot, so I never wore it. When I was thrity-two I had a space between my bottom teeth and had to be placed in a retainer again. I am 41 years old and still wear my retainer. The braces in the 90's were awsome.

I had braces two times. My bite just majorly shifted so couldn't open or close and a lot of tmj pain. And the disc dislocated. My retainers still fit from the first time when I got them the second.

My brother threw out my retainer 2 years in... I got bonded retainers on top as well after that. 15 years later, 1 of them broke once and I swear I can't live without them anymore. They had to take the retainer off for 2 weeks before the new one came in and my teeth felt so vulnerable, I hated it. Could not get used to it.

In the UK, you can’t get braces until all of your adult teeth are in and making a nuisance, although some get it earlier. My dad used to quickly whip out my loose baby teeth with his hankies then taught me the trick with my molars

My son had to get braces a second time, but he did wear his retainer. The problem was his bottom jaw grew significantly after they were removed.

I’m in brace currently and my canines were impacting my front teeth and they had to pull them down and over and I get bottoms next week because they are in the somewhat right place

@Thebentist !! When I was a teenager with braces, my parents didn’t want my orthodontist to pull any of my teeth, so now my top teeth slant forward (I have pretty big teeth 😬) could be also an overbite. My question is ~ is there another way to fix this, even as an adult, without pulling teeth?

As someone with the 3d printed braces, they are bigger and pushed further out so are more uncomfortable, I have them in the bottom and normal on the top.

My son had braces at 8 yrs old because his adult teeth was coming in behind his baby teeth. They pulled out the baby teeth that was blocking his adult teeth. They put n braces and was told he’s going to need them again after his adult teeth comes in. So now he’s getting them because his mouth is small and his teenage are super crowded like his dad.

i still eat whatever i want and ive had my braces for almost 2 years (10 days away as of rn) and ive never broken a bracket

I stopped wearing my retainer like a month after getting it cause it was so ANNOYING to take care of and my teeth never changed... I also started eating whatever I wanted at the 3 year mark and it never so much as even cracked or something, they were STRONG.

I actually did have braces twice. I had a severe overbite as a kid where my top two front teeth poked out with my mouth closed like a rabbit lol. Orthodontist gave my parents two options: braces twice with a gap year in between, or surgically break my jaw lol. So I had braces twice. 😂

My second round of braces in prep for jaw surgery. THE SPACERS are 1000100% more painful than any adjustment during braces I've ever had. So bad

I've thought about going back in to braces, but because of a health condition, my teeth move back so much in just a day. I can literally feel my teeth moving throughout the day. Bonus side of my teeth moving so dang fast was braces went extra fast.

Let me just say, as an adult in braces… you’re literally my favorite

i have to get braces again because the first time i had them, they were only on my top teeth to fix my gap but since all of my adult teeth hadnt come in, they couldnt fix my 90% overbite so i have to get them again soon after my last adult tooth comes in.

My daughter got her braces this week, so now we are twinning. I got my first steel wire on my upper braces this week, so we are both in pain. 😂

I once had my canines over crowding to where they were stuck above and below my tooth line, dentist removed my molars so they could move down and replace them, plan worked but then I couldn’t keep up my brushing so I never did get my braces I was meant to get, many years later my teeth are kinda crowded but it does not look too bad at all, aside from the poorly taken care of teeth that are stained yellow and slightly red gums around my teeth

I always got the transparent grey ones so it would just look like braces. I got teal once and white once but the white turned yellow and I felt insecure for the whole time I had them.
