y tf do u want people want braces they will destroy ur mouth. the same pain from the first time u put ur braces on comes on when u tighten ur braces every 2-4 weeks depending on ur orthodontist and bands will make u feel like ur living in hell.

Same I fainted once from a needle in the dentist for a tooth extraction haha

if you're just getting braces and are upset about it, just remember that you are very lucky to have such treatment available and to be able to afford it. braces r expensive and if you don't live in the developed world you are stuck with bad teeth, so count your blessings

for anyone who’s about to get braces, i promise it doesn’t hurt much. the initial application of the braces doesn’t hurt at all, but it may hurt for 4-7 days afterwards. after that, every time you get them tightened, it only hurts for maybe 2 or 3 days, and it’s not so bad. it honestly just depends on the person and why you need braces! edit: approach the replies with caution. this is your warning

Yea can confirm I just got my last change of chain loops 2 months. for me it’s been two years 4 months.

I have a strong respect for orthodontists. I have had really wonky teeth for most of my life and within two months (you have them on for two years usually) my teeth are already straight compared to before, they're almost perfect and it took barely any time at all.

I couldnt even swallow when they were putting it on because of the tongue guard and when I tried to swallow the suction called Nola would push against my bottom palate gums and it hurts...

When I talk to my dentist my sentences are muffled and she goes on like “what did you say???” 😭😭😭😭

As a person who had braces on for 5 years, I can say Braces aren’t actually that painful, the more you have them the more you get used to it and it doesn’t really hurt. At first yes it would hurt but sooner you will eventually don’t think it’s that painful. Although I can’t really eat much specific food since it’s a hassle to remove them when it gets stuck in your wife’s and braces. But now that they’re finally off and I have my retainers HALLIJUEAH I can finally eat food that I couldn’t

This makes me feel better about getting braces thanks 🙏

Be careful with the wire sticking out in the back! When i first got mine, it would get caught in my gums and now there is a scar :/... BUT, there is nothing to be afraid of at all just letting ya know :)

looking at that patient’s teeth makes me feel MUCH better about my teeth..

When I got my braces I never got those toobs in my mouth and the dentist was like, “you got a lot of saliva are you hungry” and I was like well I’m sitting in a chair leaning back for a hour with my mouth open and I’m scared to swollow because what if I swollow somthing I’m not supost to.

You'll be fine! The brackets and wire don't hurt too bad, however bite ramps, or turbos kind of do if I'm being completely honest. All in all it should only hurt for about a week. You'll be back to 100% in about 2 weeks.

My braces come off this month... I got them on through the traditional direct bonding I had them for 1 year and 5 months (which honestly was surprising) The doctor said that since I wore my bands regularly, it was a smooth process My timing to get them was somehow incredible cause I got them right before the pandemic started.... so my braces journey has been during all this and no one really got to see them in my mouth lol... I also found braces to be surprisingly comfortable and pain-free (maybe cause I wanted to get them and was mentally prepared)

I want braces so bad but I haven’t spoken to my parents about it. My teeth have always been bad and definitely need alignment

I just got to know by my aunt who's a dentist told me that I'll get braces and I'm excited just because of the bentist! She said that I should meet my orthodontist soon but I hope he's the bentist 😂

I got the indirect bonding ones with the self ligating bracket thingymajigs last week and it went great, hurt at first but I mean it’ll be worth it! Love ur vids

as someone finally getting braces in 8 days (ive had spacers and i have an expander in rn) this is so helpful!!

I’m getting my insignia self ligating braces in 5 days!!!! I’m definitely still asking for colour ties 😂 just cause I’m 26 doesn’t mean I don’t want colour!! In respect of preparedness, for the last 77 days since my consult I’ve watched or researched 2+hours of videos and articles every. Single. Night. To say I’m excited and prepared is an understatement!

I got my braces adjusted on Wednesday.

I am getting an indirect bonding process for my braces on May 25th. I am happy to see that you prefer that way :D There is not a lot of video about it so I was worried that it was not a good way to put braces on. Thank you so much for the informations
