The BEST Baby Back Ribs EVER ~ Instant Pot Recipe ~ Under 1 hour!!!!

Ойын-сауық

You guys, this is legit! If you are like me, you never eat baby back ribs at home because you never took the time or had the time to let them slow cook all day. If you didn't they were tough and chewy. No more waiting to eat chewy ribs! The instant pot is my best friend, lol! I have made baby back ribs more than 5 x's in the last year or so and everyone I've made them for is so impressed! They have been perfect every time! All you need is your instant pot, the trivet that comes with it, your favorite dry rub and 1 hour! Enjoy!

Instant Pot Babyback Ribs Dry Rub 3 pounds of baby back ribs 3 Tablespoons brown sugar 3 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons smoked paprika 1 teaspoon black pepper You'll also need 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, and 1/2 of water. Using a spoon, evenly distribute the dry rub, then using your hands work the dry rub into the meat. Flip the meat over and do the same thing. Place the trivet into your instant pot. Add 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar poured into the instant pot. If using an 8 quart instant pot double the liquid. Put meat on the trivet in the instant pot and hit the manual button for 25 minutes. If you like chewy ribs then set the pot for 15 minutes. When done wait 10 to 15 minutes before opening the lid. After taking out the ribs you can coat them with your favorite barbeque sauce and put them under the broiler for 5 minutes. Take them out and enjoy! As a bonus, you can cook corn on the cob in the instant pot in the rib juice for 2 minutes while waiting for your ribs to brown in the oven.

For people finding this in 2021 - you do need to remove the membrane (silver skin) using a paper towel to grasp it - but you can leave the rub and/or sauce off until after it comes out of the Instant Pot. Otherwise, most of it is just going to end up in your apple juice or water. And yes, you can just use water.

The heat from the hot meat should kill any bacteria under the slab, and the broiling heat just take care of the rest of the foil. For what it's worth, pork is just as safe as beef nowadays, and can be safely consumed to similar "doneness" preference.

@@NerissaNikole thank you so much for getting back to me! I made it yesterday and my girls loved it!!! However I thought I can improve as I cut the ribs in half before I put in the instant pot to cook then after cooked, i put into oven for broil but half came out dried and the other half was luckily ok but it wasn't very juicy. I probably put in my steam convection oven too long. I think I put in the oven for broil at 375° for 5 mins first but it doesn't have the brown BBQ look so I added another 5 mins at 425° at the end which finally gave me that bbq baby back ribs look but half was all dried up. How many degree and how long do you put in the oven when broiling? How can I make it more juicy? I don't really know how to cook, if you have any suggestions would greatly appreciated! I've been trying to find simplist recipes. I finally have the kitchen to myself, part of the day, and I'm just learning how to do it. Is the broiling necessary? I was hoping to do this solely with the pressure cooker. Or is there an alternate recipe with the baby baks?

  • @NerissaNikole

Hey ladies! So, I probably should have, but I had read that you don't need to remove the membrane when pressure cooking. Leaving the membrane on can make them tough and not get as much flavor, but they definitely aren't tough in the IP! They may be even more tender if removed though. And even more flavorful!
