    In the video it says one cup of buttermilk but your recipe says 1 1/4 cups. Which one is it?

    My mother was a professional cake decorator and amazing at handwriting on cakes! Her top tip to me was that once you start a run of icing, try lifting the tip of your piping bag or nozzle higher up above your surface and sort of "lay" the stream of icing down, and only come back down to the surface at the end of a section to close off the stream. You get a smoother line that way. This is a really useful video, and gives a nice method to achieve different fonts!

    I used 1 of those long slender coffee spoons with the tiny head and did your pattern on a couple cupcakes …turned out pretty. I can see doing this on sugar cookies for a special occasion or for the school bake sale. Thank you!

    Hi, I'm making your cake the way you made it. How long do you leave it in the freezer prior to frosting it? Thank you, Sharon Avery

  • @tinaknutsen
    @tinaknutsen8 күн бұрын

    Just till frozen about 2 hours. If you want to make for later use and freeze then let cake cool completely and double wrap and it will last in the freezer for 2 months. If you put a skim coat of frosting on (very thin layer) it will last for 3 + months in your freezer. This works with any type of cakes. Bundt, cup cakes, pound cakes, ect. This is how we did it in the bakery… but it does take up space in the freezer and that is where the bakery has an advantage of having walk in freezers.

    I can confirm that this works perfectly with the pillsbury Gluten Free cake mix! They taste AMAZING you guys!! Almost exactly like regular bakers cake. But honestly better! I did two sticks of butter and cut off about a fourth of one of the sticks, 4 eggs, 1 cup of milk and a packet of vanilla pudding. 2 scoops each cupcake from a cookie scoop and baked at 350° for 21 minutes.❤️

    So I know that the wax paper is used because it is nonstick but I noticed you were still having a little bit of trouble peeling off the lettering and I'd be afraid I would break them in the process. I'm wondering if it would work to spray the wax paper with just a little bit of oil so the paper will come away a little bit easier?

    Have you tried carob in a store bought gluten free or sugar free cake box? I can't have chocolate but do like carob. Plus it's healthier but not sure if the texture will be okay.

    I need some help I followed the recipe but once I put the jello in it really thickened the batter to the point were I had to add more milk but I still left it pretty thick I put just enough milk so I could at least stir it . Mistakes I think I made were over beating the batter also I kept opening the oven to see if they were done . I also added everything at once and I softened the butter it wasn’t melted. If anybody can tell me what I did wrong or if what I think i did wrong makes a difference or not . Thank you
