Hey Julia. Of the many things I have to say, first and foremost is how absolutely proud I am of your cookbook and I hope when I have more money coming in I can get it. But I also wanted to tell you that when I'm having a crappy day, or feeling down, or I open twitter and within 2 minutes see something that makes me want to shut off the internet for the day, I come to the comments section of literally ANY of your videos. They're so sweet and wholesome and I just feel so much kindness and joy and it saves me all the time from dark feelings and thoughts. Yay, there's still hope for me! (Mid 50s.) My mother was a wonderful cook. I should have paid attention to her. I just... always hated cooking. Still do. But it's necessary. When you're younger you can maybe get away with eating out and eating not so healthy things. The older you get, the harder that is.

These recipes look really good! My family's approach to dinner is somewhat unique and challenging: my husband is a meat and potatoes guy; I am heavily plant-based; and our daughter has some sensory issues, so certain textures and smells bother her. However, I think some of these meal ideas will work for us - thank you!

Hello Julia I love your cookbook and all your additional recipes you share. Thank you I just have a question though. What type of pots and pans do you use? I’m looking for a new set yours seem so user friendly and pretty 😊

Hi, your book arrived so fast and I love the recipes but I also love the way you put it with substitutions, measurement conversions etc etc. very well thought out, thanks so much! I’m still saving your videos though and I’ve been doing that for quite some time. Got to start trying them just too busy with the storms, living in the mountains takes preparedness for storms to a different level specially after last winter in California when it got dangerous with so much snow and roads closed running out of fuel, food and medications, roofs caving etc, we have a say “ hope for the best, prepare for the worst”. Thanks again for all you do.

That roast rly livens up with onion slices, minced garlic, diced celery, and ofc roots put in with it for the last hr. Rutabagas, turnips, parsnips besides potatoes and carrots. The vegs taste incredible!
