The bells of St Andrew, Colebrooke, Devon
The bells of Colebrooke were completely restored in 2018 by Whites of Appleton. The bells were rehung with all new fittings, tuned and the old frame strengthened.
The Tenor weigh's 13-1-25 and is tuned to the key of F. They are now a superb ring of 6 which sound nice and go well.
Colebrooke is situated in beautiful mid Devon with some outstanding countryside and is around 4 miles from Crediton.
Here we hear the bells being rung to 60 on 3rd's by the Shaugh Prior band on Saturday 9th September prior to the competitions at Down St Mary and Morchard Bishop.

The effect of retuning I would guess
This has reminded me to upload my version of Morchard and Colebrooke. I have had the vids for a long time so I will do them now.
Nice video decent set I think. I have rung here. 👍
Great ringing, Devon call changes is new to me but I don't ring at the moment but ringing is missed a lot.
These sound absolutely phenomenal now! That looks like a nice ringing room too (despite the long draught).
Thanks Ryan I am glad you think they go better now

Benefit even more in the future if the ringing floor was up a level?

@johne-ringer true, but actually, with the double guide, I think they handle pretty well at ground floor level

@@ryantrout6094 tenor flaps around.
The 4th rope jug is very loose!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh WOW! Colebrooke are beautiful. New rope's new sound. I keep thinking the tenor is 15cwt sorry 😅 well it used to be.
Oh sorry it was 17cwt actually. Used to be a heavy tricky 6.
