The Beatles "You Can't Do That" LESSON by Mike Pachelli
Here's a lesson on "You Can't Do That" by the Beatles. All the guitar parts you need to play this great song. Chart & tabs at: www.MikePachelli.com
I misspoke in the intro section when I said this was the 1st song John wrote without Paul. It was the 2nd. As I said in my "Please Please Me" lesson - THAT was the 1st song John wrote without Paul.

Mike pachelli can do that.
I know less than nothing about playing the guitar or anything else for that matter, but I love Mike’s explanations/demonstrations of what I have been hearing for the last 60 years without really being able to appreciate it. I have gained even more respect for the Beatles if that is even possible, through this channel. Well done Mike and thank you.
Mr Moonlight would be nice.
Hi Mike, YOU ARE THE BEST BEATLES TEACHER EVER. YOU'RE AWESOME. I JUST LUV THE WAY YOU TEACH. THANKS SOOO MUCH.
Been on a year-long binge listening to classic rock and the Beatles, of course. When I discovered this song on the anthology I must have played it like 15 times in a row!!
Man, those Rick's Sound Awesome and Unique! Only John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and of Course Ringo Starr's Unique Percussion Drum Riffs can make Accent "The Unique Style and Sound of The Rickenbacker"! How did John Lennon and The Beatles Write Such Sophisticated Harmonic & Melodic Chords Structures is Definitely Amazing!
Cool😎✌️🎸🎶
Knock on it Mike!
Wow, MP. This has always been one of my favorite Beatles songs. Great song and GREAT execution by the boys, vocally and instrumentally. Didn't know it was John's first song written without Paul. I assumed George had done the wonderful guitar solo. Very impressive what John did. What a pleasure to behold your explanations and demonstrations. Thank you.
Great Musical Work!!!
Unpacking these classic Beatles songs always brings a smile to my face.
The Beatles’ songwriting never ceases to amaze. Wonderful tutorial
So elusively simple sounding. The early Beatles was some of the first rock I heard when I was a kid in the overproduced, synth/drum machine awashed 80's. It was an intro to what happens when groove, rock and rythm meets harmony/melody.
Fave Beatles song. It was/is so raw. True rock and roll
Always love the history lesson that comes with these videos
He is.....The most interesting Man on KZread!! Talkin about you Mike. I LOVE your channel!
Another illusion shattered - I always thought the solo was by George, by George! In the recent documentary, Lennon even derides his own lead playing (I think he was talking about the song “Get Back”).
I am so glad I found your site! You go into such detail about all the different parts - it's a dream come true for me! I'm a 72 yr. old (gulp!) Beatlemaniac still and am always up for learning more. Keep them coming please! Thank you!
The subtle but brilliant playing by Harrison and Lennon is awesome- yet again.
Hey there Mike!!!....Well now.....First up....
