The more we learn about George, the more we respect what he accomplished, often on short notice.

I'm 66. And I've lived with their music all my life. I played, I play and I sing their songs. But I've never thought about what the genius of their music is. Melodicity is the beauty of the sound, undoubtedly. But only now I understand that the main thing is in the little things, the combination of little things in their beautiful music. They are in each of their songs, little things that add a certain charm, beauty of sound. This is their genius.
Thankyou. Today is December 8th 40 years later John's passed away. This video makes me cry, because I miss John a lot. God bless you.
The reason I play guitar is George Harrison. The master of taste and exactky what's needed. We could all wax lyrical on the the genius of John and Paul. But their's would be a lesser accomplishment without the subtle grandeour of George to bring out the the brilliance of The Beatles. Thank you Mike for articulating the 'quite one's' contribution the the Beatles' overall excellence.

I guess I'm a little late to the party but I just discovered this channel and it is amazing. Like others have said, most Beatle lessons on KZread are simplified versions and it is only when you see it correctly displayed with all the different parts that you understand how genius the fab four were. And I like how you put it all together at the end and play these songs and you do it very very well. Thank you, Mike! Share the music and share the joy...

Great to hear the Beatles songs played properly. So many people including musicians say Beatles songs are easy, they are only easy if you don´t play them correct with the right chord structure and licks and then they sound crap.

Can’t agree with you more, not just the chords the intricate guitar solos also. The simplicity and complexity seems to be inherent in all their songs, a genius combination. It’s not until Mike here has brought it to your attention that you really get to appreciate their talent.
I could never quite put my finger on what made this song so poignant despite its upbeat approach. Thank you for showing me Mike after all these years. It's Georges descending chord voicings at the end. So evocative of a feeling of loneliness.💚
This is quickly becoming my favorite guitar youtube channel....the Beatles catalog is a music college start to end
Once again, good job Mike on both parts. The Beatles were so melodic & creative.
Most excellent. My favorite Beatle song to play. If you can't have fun playing this one, what CAN you have fun playing? Jut think, when this ws released, it was not good enough to play on American radios. All that changed of course after"I Want to Hold Your Hand". No wonder the Beatles had all top 5 songs in the charts and 7 of the top 10 at one time in 1964. Even a simple song such as this one needs your insight to break it down into what went into it. The Beatles understood harmony. Not just vocal harmony, but instrument harmony. That, and being anxious to change and experiment, was why they were so much better than everyone else. Thank you for doing this

When i was a young-un i was instantly smitten by this song! It sounded so different from anything i'd ever heard before...and now i know why. Thanks!
That was really awesome Mike! It sill boggles the mind at how they were able to come up with all those variations in chord progressions & also write incredible lyrics. To me it was pure musical genius. Thanks for these videos. Be well & stay safe......... 👍😉👏🎸🎤👍😉
This song made Beatlemania . So much energy. So much talent.
Mike, that was really FAB! Please, more tutorials like this.
Those guitars sounds like heaven
The reason I graduated as a composer is these Fab Four! I guess, all of us remember freezing in the floor, listening to those sounds of incredible, almost alien sort of freedom, and this astonishing, if you please, "child-alike" joy, so easily understood by a kid, as it happened with me back there in eighties and, perhaps, still happening with our brothers and sisters around the globe this very moment. Thank you so very much for all of your videos, I'm living my cheerful moments throughout the day with them!
That was the song that grabbed me back in the day... I was never the same after that.
Nearly 50 years of my being a Beatle Freak, this video made me appreciate this classic song that much more. Cheers.
Brilliant. Many thanks. I was 12 at the time and drove from the Coventry to the Liverpool docks in a lhd triumph spitfire (it’s a long story) and had this song come to life when I got there.
Brilliant Mike! Harrison I mean wow. I have always though he was way way underrated. To this day his stuff at what 19 is was some of the coolest guitar I have heard.
Mike- brilliant, inspiring job on figuring out the pure magic of the Beatles. What is even more astounding is that these guys were doing all of this in their early 20's. Are you kidding me?!?! Such cool, clever writing, playing and singing- it is unbelievable that this actually ever happened in human history. I rank the Beatles right up there with Tesla, Einstein and Edison for pure brilliance.
SUCH a gorgeous song. It STILL tugs at my heartstrings. And it really showcases the genius of the Beatles.
I fkin love this channel. You don't understand how helpful putting the actual guitar shapes on the screen in. I love your passion for the Beatles.
Honestly Mike that what an Awe Inspiring vid! Loved it all. The subtleties on George's descending riffs , absolutely Brilliant. Finally a tremendous performance by yourself! Thankyou , Gary 🎶👍🙎♂️👍🎶
I love the way you strum each chord and then look up at the camera and smile like "Oh yea your getting ready to play a Beatles song!"
Yeah as a 61 year old who wishes that he had significant guitar talent, and envies those that do, I can say that the Beatles songs are not at all simple. They were fairly complex arrangements. And to this day, i still marvel at all of the wonder of creative stuff they did. If you listen, they were INVENTING so much interesting stuff that NOBODY else had the guts to try. Their producer, George Martin, is often considered the 5th Beatle because of his contributions to their music. Like them or dislike them, anybody who dismisses their work just simply doesn’t know what they are talking about.
Mike…..you NAILED THIS. As u always do.
Mike, in my humble opinion, She Loves You is the greatest pop song ever recorded. The way you broke this down and explained it was genius. I don't play guitar but I was mesmerised by your teaching and explanation. Then you put it all together at the end perfectly. We'll never see the like of The Beatles again but you did this wonderful song justice. Thank you so much!
Super props Mike, it so neat to see the breakdowns of these songs. I'm so amazed at the knowledge and expertise these guys possessed at such young ages. Truly amazing.

Newcastle, New South Wales in Australia, 1964. For years I had been enjoying all the songs of the 50s and early 60s from my mother's radio. These included Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers, Sheb Woolly (Purple People Eater), Rolf Harris and skiffle (My old man's a dustman). Then one morning in April 1964 (I was 14 years old), I hear something totally different and spell-binding, the Beatles "She Loves You". I was immediately obsessed with the song and the group. I will never forget that morning. I didn't realise it was the same group that I had heard play their instrumental "Cry for a Shadow" and backing Tony Sheridan in "My Bonnie" years before. I had to buy a guitar and learned more from analysing Beatles' song chords than from anything or anyone else. Thanks for this Mike, it means a hell of a lot to an ageing Boomer in Australia. They visited Australia in 1964. I missed the shows but my wife saw them in Sydney. There is some excellent video from these concerts, I hope it is still on KZread. How lucky was I to live through the 1960s? Here is some good video of She Loves You from the Aus tour in 1964. A masterful breakdown of a seminal song -- bravo! Spot-on vocals and instrumentation! Take a bow, Mike. This is a great illustration of the importance of chord voicing -- even with relatively simple chords -- and demonstrates why The Beatles were truly exemplary of the phrase 'The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.'
