Hi, Dave. Great set of 45s of Lady Madonna / Inner Light, both great tracks. Lady Madonna one of my favorite later tracks, great tempo and a favorite to drum along with. I believe on the Concert for George, Jeff Lynne sang a nice rendition of the Inner Light. Cheers

Hi Mate, Yes threw this extra little anniversary video in aa I had been doing them since the Strawberry Fields / Penny Lane 55th, so have decided to continue the trend! Just wished I’d collected all the USA singles and sleeves , sadly that got neglected but you can’t have everything can you mate! The 20th anniversary picture discs seem to be riding in value and they look cool too! Glad you enjoyed buddy and stay well

Hi my friend, Well, I’ve never got around to getting that particular insert , but I do have quite a lot of fan club paraphernalia. I’ve missed out on a few over the years but I’m not too worried about it, I’m sure I’ll eventually get one! Glad you enjoyed!

Great video Dave. Nice set of 45's. Paul's voice takes on a certain tone on the A- Side that made me think it was Ringo singing it. B-side "The Inner Light" has always been a favourite of mine since initial release. We had the Australian single when I was a kid and I vividly remember playing the B-side often. Don't know why 10 year old me was drawn to it but I was. 😊 Personally I own 9 different pressings of the 7" single including original Aussie, NZ, UK & US as well as 4 in different boxed sets including the 20th Anniversary Picture Disc as well as the CD single box. That's pretty much the trend for most of my Beatles singles. Thanks for sharing Dave. Cheers mate 👍

Hi Peter, Hope your well mate! You know, I originally thought that when I first heard Lady Madonna, Paul seemed to have changed his voice slightly! Hey BD., This was before your channel,& may have asked thee earlier; but think was in ' lost comment ' if did: did you see and/ or participate in that live, official Beatles channel anniversary KZread broadcast o' the film. Was really cool, thousands in live house of chat. So, as cud imagine one's screen was simply flying by; as the ' upgraded' movie played. Was fun,& a bit crazy. Nice video Dave,& collectables. 5,6 years ago a young lad in my old neighborhood was helping me with some work,& saw some my Beatles stuff& asked if wud like one of the figures. Bet you can guess what I said, ha. Was one of the McFarland original, believe, of Paul. It was nice of him, indeed. It's been a long while since seen new in their pkg.s, with the add. characters. Think the placing of Jeremy with John just made sense;,with all his wit. We think you all should display them beautiful globes in your great( living) room someday. Gorgeous artwork, it is! Got my 2009 Sony multi DVD player out o ' shop last wk.& am using primarily as audio only rite now& one of first soundtrack put in there, U guessed it, Yellow Sub. , Cheers. Please overlook typos, afraid about to lose this one.

Hi Michael, Hope your well mate! Yes I believe I do remember when they did a great big broadcast of Yellow Submarine and like you said loads and loads of comments etc! Glad you enjoyed the Yellow Submarine video although not sure you realise your commenting on the Lady Madonna video? But there’s so many great Yellow Submarine collectables out there! I’ve got some stuff on display but some of those items are starting to become pretty rare and I’d hate to accidentally get broke or something! The yellow sub film is my favourite animated production and not just because it’s the Fabs , it’s just brilliant! Stay well!

Is screwing up comments, replies etc.from u.tube.videos than this guy is a bit scared at the thought of the huge ' control' they'll have as soon as predicted 2.5-3 yr.s from today. Man. Was viewing YS..video& was at the end& did get concerned when ' comment added ' didn't appear- then L.M single video started & saw my writing there, oy. But, oddest thing was , I made brief comment on what just occurred& the awesomeness. Of that Super 45, that I actually Still have original , c picture sleeve. The phrase ' comment added' did pop up for that one ; but don't believe it arrived anywhere. Oh well, have to simply laff @ this point; as not worth a blood pressure ^ , ya know. We say the 'new' Beatles release sounds Wonderful!! And, love bonus 🎶; the instrumental ' She said', damn-& others. It's so funny, yet cool& special Dave that a bit of that same new Beatle sounds excitement that's been there, for so many yr.s I noticed as were opening. the 2 disc set. You gotta get, if havent, before long. Bet that new mono album, the single& more bonus music is Great, too. Now, for maybe 3 or so more LP.s.gone back to&more Realized music& aspects put out there for us, oh yeah. Good wknd., M.

The 4 songs recorded at this time would have made a fine EP. I remember when the 45 came out, with a great picture sleeve over here. You're missing that one for your collection. Pretty common and cheap over here still. Loved both sides of the 45 : played it over and over. I thought the 76 UK set, while the records sound great, was a bit cheesy using the same 4 photos for all the sleeves. Nice collection you have, Dave; thanks for another fine video.

Hi David, Thanks for watching! Yes indeed , they could have easily released it that way but the EP format had died a death , although the MMT proved it could sell well! I sadly don’t have any USA original 45’s/picture sleeves , a part of my collection which got neglected but I’d still love to have them! The fact they used the same era picture on several singles, sure made me think not much thought went into it, especially with every front cover the same design! Stay well!

The copy at 11:50, that actually is a 1988 pressing. The early 80’s Capitol labels were a darker purple - almost a variant on black, actually - with the then standard EMI/Capitol ridge rim going around the label, similar to what the Apple pressing has.

Hi George, Thanks for the information, I must admit I thought those purple ones were early 80’s as I remember them around then, couldn’t find my reference book at the time to double check. I’ve got quite a few of those capitol ones , so guessing they are from the same period. Stay well!

I did not know that John and Paul added backing vocals on The Inner Light. I thought it was a George only effort. I understand no Beatle plays an instrument on the track. Lady Madonna is a great single. Sadly Hey Bulldog was left off the American prints of Yellow Submarine because Walter Shenson did not like it. Perhaps he needs his ears tested.

Hi Steve, Yes 55 years already , doesn’t seem possible! Your very lucky , I sadly don’t have any 60’s USA copies of Beatles 45’s, difficult to collect then all! The U.K. EPS are great to collect and Beatles for sale No 2 is indeed a fab one! Stay well my friend!

Very nice set of singles! There doesn't seem to be missing a single piece in your collection by now (at least regarding the UK releases). If you ever have the chance, try reaching for the brazilian limited editions of Beatles 45's (on actual 45rpm, not 33rpm), they're our best sounding 7" singles ever made. There was also limited editions of the Rolling Stones singles at the same time on the same format. Both catalogs have nice custom covers.
