One of my favorite things about this episode: when Carmy saw the money and didn't know what to do, his first instinct was to call Richie for help. Richie said Carmy was all he had, and the opposite was also true. Also, Mikey's smile at the end is a killer

I loved that carmy called out to Richie immediately instead of trying to deal with that himself! Mikey's smile - UGH I GOT CHILLS! 🩶

The meeting Carmy is at during the beginning of the episode is not an AA meeting, its an Al-Anon meeting. Al-Anon is specifically for the friends and families effected by alcoholics and addicts, while AA/NA is for the addicts or alcoholics themselves.

My favorite part of this episode is the last dialogue between Carmy and Sydney. It is an apology disguised as an offer to start a new restaurant. "Family Style" referring to the style of cuisine, "Danish Design" the layout of the dining room. "Tasting menu at the bar" where the chefs get to show off their skill. Love it. Love this episode.

I totally agree!! it's an apology and an understanding of moving on from the moment, this is such an incredible show!! 🩶 this is maybe one of the best finales of a season of tv I've ever seen. just outstanding!

I just discovered you and I am so glad I did. I love this show so much. I love how you immediately understood that Richie was hurting - and that he's an asshole because he was hurting - so many people can't see that about other people. It's very hard to give grace when someone's being a jerk! I feel like this show - as messy as it gets - shows a way forward, if we can just own up to our part in the chaos, and also **accepting an apology when it comes**. You're great!!

ahhh thank you so much for watching with me!! yes I totally agree! it can be difficult to think about what a person who isn't being kind is going through but a lot of the time they are going through something and I feel like the show did a great job of letting us see that something was going on with him! it's something that has to be done delicately I think to have the impact they want which makes it hard to pick up on sometimes, but I think they nailed it! 🩶

Loved your reactions, I have the same opinions and favorite characters so it's fun to see someone likeminded! Marcus is so wholesome. And Sydney is a boss. I'm also quite an empathic person and Richie hurting so bad really made me sad. As much of an asshole as he can be it's all defensive, a front.
