Wow, Jordanians in Jerusalem. Where were the Palestinians? I had a friend who has passed years ago, an America in Israel. Was the only US Citizen involved in the 1968 taking of the Temple Mount. Stumbling upon the Paratrooper Unit headed up the road to Jerusalem, he asked the Commander to have a look through his binoculars. He then asked the Commander what he was going to do about Jordanian gun emplacements, as he pointed at them speckled along the road to Jerusalem. The Commander insisted to look at the positions again, but could not see them himself, and sent a recce against the closest claimed location which was sure enough active and waiting for them to drive up the road. The Commander asked how it was my friend was able to see the Jordanian gun emplacements that he could not see. My friend said he was color blind, and man made green shimmers like new money to him as opposed to foliage. (as an aside, we have learned in recent years that men have inconsistent green rod translation from person to person) The Commander immediately ordered a soldier to guard my friend and that he would remain with the unit and in the immediate vicinity of the Commander. Later he would meet Shlomo Goren, who would blew the Shofar on the Western Wall. Later my friend would become a great friend of Benny Peled, who made certain that he would be having coffee with my friend at a public cafe on June 7, 1981, seated by a TV with CNN on, and plenty of time to chide him about American cluelessness and disorganization. Looking at his watch as he spoke and then looking again and saying something to the effect 'Now, it is done." Then CNN broke away to the immediate news and video feeds of the attack on the Iraqi nuclear plant. Benny's story of Israeli coordination and planning, like all of his service in the IAF, contrasted greatly to what my friend lived on the ground/road to the Temple Mount. Things would have been far different had he not wandered over there. Maybe Shlomo Goren would not have lived that day in 1968. HASHEM be praised. Finally, there were no Palestinians around those days. They had no Army. They never had a seat at the Peace Talks after the wars. They had no seat of government. They had no jurisdiction, because it was the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the British made sure of it.

I have had friends who were West Bank Settlers, a Syrian Aramaic Christian in the Christian Militia in Beirut, an Orthodox Rabbi, even my Aunt was a Renter from the now deposed Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as well as friends with the Sultan of Riyadh. Now the recipients of the Government Israel injections in Israel are not going to have children, and so the land will be nobody's shortly. And here. My dad told me to get used to the fact that my grand children will be speaking Chinese with a Mexican Accent. Well my daughter was autistic and her mother killed her, so the end is now. As for humanity...well...if there are no common values of man, no Common Law, there is only a prospect of conflict. I have no investment in any of that now do I?

I love the history of Israel since the 48 war , and being British make me feel a bit embarrassed, the way they were treated. We just seemed to wash our hands with them. It didn’t take long to team up with them when the Suez crisis came along though.

The Romans rebuilt Jerusalem as a Roman city and banned Jews from living in Jerusalem. The inhabitants of the city became Christian in the later Roman Empire. The Muslims invaded and conquered Jerusalem in 638 AD. Christians and Jews had second class status under Muslim rule (as they continue to do in many Islamic countries), subject to extra taxation and other restrictions.

Thank you for this. For much of this film I wondered if I might be watching yet another piece of crude Israeli propaganda, this time focussing on Phillip's documentation of the plight of Jerusalem's 3000 Jewish refugees forced out of their homes in 1948 whilst he turned a blind eye to the 750,000 arab refugees forced out of Palestine at much the same time all around him. I fully expected to see Mr Zaarour's quest to recover or even get to look at his father's stolen photographs come to nothing as the Israeli state has historically always repressed and hidden visual imagery that portrays Palestinians in any kind of positive light. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that as this documentary progresses, it becomes very even-handed on its subject matter and even has a vaguely happy ending thanks to the hard work of Dr Rona Sela in helping to reunite Mr Zaarour with his father's stolen archive of photographs.

People should stand against all injustices, whether Palestinian or Israeli. I support Palestine 1000% today, but doesn't mean i or any of us should disregard the injustices committed against the Palestinians and Jewish Arabs in the lands of Kanaan, it's neither of lands, and our own bodies are a gift of creation, we should honor all life as our forefathers have taught us. Israelis must also understand that regardless of the burden your ancestors have carried throughout history, you cannot just recreate a nation out of the blue and import Jewish Europeans on the expense of another peoples including Jewish Palestinians that lived in harmony with Christian and Muslim Palestinians, regardless your religious beliefs or what the Bible says; that makes you even more fanatics and creates the fanatics that your fighting against, you're fighting your own reflection

My dad lived at Nagpada Mumbai born in 1932 he witnessed the Jews residing in their neighborhood now settling in Palestine . On behalf of the Americans the Jews from all over the world settled in Palestine to create a new nation called Israel. The Jews looted Palestine and their land and still no pity from the West. The pity is only left for the Jews. The Jews who rejects Christ is still favourable as against Muslims who respects Jesus. If Jews are the only chosen people on earth and Israel the only chosen land then why are the Israelis so grim and living a life full of friegthning. The Palestinian becomes refugees and still they were the only looters . Isn't it confusing

Am still not certain where the true location of Jerusalem is. The Bible says, the land will be desolate. But when the Jews came, they found the land occupied. Should we not look elsewhere?

Yes, we definitely should look elsewhere, as Christ is within! The cross of Jesus has made everything new and fresh. Everything means nothing excluded. The days that Israel were the apple of His eye, are over and done with. No temple will ever be built in Jerusalem, as God have a new temple, a new Jerusalem, a new mountain.. and a new Israel.. us !! Rom 2:28,29 'For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God'. Believers in the Son now are the City of God, the New Jerusalem, His holy temple, His sanctuary, His dwelling place.. as Christ is within! Col 1:26,27 'the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in (ín!) you, the hope of glory! 2Cor 6:15-18 For you (the believers) are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people'.

The Jews fought like lions in the 48 war. It seemed impossible to win with all of those other nations against them. Incredible stuff 🇬🇧👍.

Not quite. You need to read The Birth of Israel - Myths and Realities by Israeli historian Simha Flapan (as well as other Israeli historians). Flapan's 6th myth states that the tiny newborn state of Israel faced the onslaught of the Arab armies: a numerically inferior, poorly armed people in danger of being overrun by a military giant. However, Flapan states: The facts and figures point to a different situation altogether. Ben Gurion himself admits that the war of self defence lasted only 4 weeks, until the truce of June 11, when huge quantities of arms reached the country. Israel’s better trained and more experienced armed forces then attained superiority on land, sea, and air.

So, it is very clear that the God of Israel is the one and only, the only truth God. There’s no way at all the Israel could’ve win any of those war without God’s intervention. And it isn’t the only war that God will fight for them, the future war of Armageddon will be win by the Jews regardless of how many powerful countries will fight against them; Israel will get the victory because God is and will be with them. People do not want to understand it, nor to believe in God Almighty.

Could someone kindly answer me a puzzle which haunting me for a quite while: if God gave the holy land to Abraham, and promise him a great nation, why jewish people suffered so much at all those locations over 2000 years. Thanks!

@@etiennenobel5028 actually they called it Syria Palestina. The name was after the philistine invaders and enemies of the Jews. They did so to try and remove the Jewish connection to the land. No one was called a Palestinian. There has never been a sovereign state of palestine. Read some basic history. Palestinians as a people didn’t exist until the 1960s when rebranded by the Russians. So try again.
