@@funfunny9328 LOL! Why do you ask? Of course, I speak Arabic. My mom's first language is Arabic. Later, as a refugee in Lebanon, she went to a French Catholic school and learned French. Much later in life, she learned English. But it was broken. Arabic was our language at home. Arabic was the language among the family. Now, I live in Mexico and speak Spanish too... so now, in 2020, I am a citizen of the world communicating with everyone in whatever way works. I think this is the future for all humanity. The age of colonization is dead has been replaced by Globalization. The European colonization of Palestine might be the last ever......globalization does NOT provide incentive for colonization. All one needs to do is start a global business and that colonizes for profits and control of resources. Its a new world and the 20th century has no future. My two cents.

its possible to be hateful without doing it overtly, the first clue was when he named the modern countries positions in relation to the old map and names, he mentioned lebanon israel and egypt, so modern palestine doesnt exist? i'm afraid it does, its occupied but it exists. then the bit about 1948 jews won the war of independence....... this is a very dark period in israeli history. there was no war of independence, what actually happened is the UN gave israel statehood, 55% of palestine. israels first action was to ethnically cleanse all the arabs out. it has provoked endless violence ever since because it knew it would win any fight especially when america started backing it. i'm afraid this kind of lecture is riddled with flaws and lies. i recommend ilan pappe and gabor mate to get a better more honest view of what happened. i'm not arab or jew i'm not religious at all, and i'm sick of the world being in turmoil because jews have mistreated the native people of the area. the native jews of palestine thought creating an israeli state was insane..... looks like they were right.

@TheMadmacs Agreed. I started watching this one hoping to find something with truth to share, but it is, like you said riddled with so many flaws it can't be used to explain the truth of the matter. DNA does not make a person good or evil. Thankfully, God judges on our works, not those of our ancestors. Ezek 18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. [21] But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. [22] All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. [23] Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? [24] But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die." When the Philistines (and others) were corrupt and committing abominations, they were to be removed from the land. But Israel also fits that category, because God also kicked them out of the land. Those people are dead now, and even if the present-day Palestinians are their descendants, they are not to be held liable for their ancestors' sins. What Israel is doing now, is the pot calling the kettle black lost after the kettle has been cleaned up.

All timelines have merged, all bloodlines have merged, all religions have merged (whether you know it or not, because all peoples of religions have converted to other beliefs, sometimes multiple times in one lifetime). What I'm trying to say is, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR WAR / VIOLENCE AGAINST ANOTHER BROTHER, UNLESS DIRECTLY ATTACKED AND FIGHTING FOR ONE'S PERSONAL LIFE OR THE LIFE OF AN INNOCENT PARTY. ALL WHO KILL OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE, KNOWN IN THE BIBLE AS "BLOODSHED" WILL SUFFER HEAVY CONSEQUENCES IN THE AFTERLIFE. I WARN EVERYONE TO LOOK AT THE 💥BIG PICTURE💥 .... STAY AWAY FROM VIOLENCE AND BE STILL. YOUR REWARDS ARE GREAT. THE ANSWER IS NOT WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE. FOLLOW JESUS AND PASS THE TEST !!!!!! 💥✝️💥

I'm Greek and very interested in the late-bronze-age collapse. My very own avatar is a Cretan figurine that certainly looks like a Peleset from Egyptian artwork. But I'm really sceptical about some aspects of the analysis. For instance, Greek burrial customs didn't include mouth-guards, but rather full face mascs. And cremation was very common, in contrast with Philistine burrials, where the bodies were laid entire. Also, the inlet photo in 30:36 is not from Philistine. The central piece is a recognizable crown found in the Dead-Sea, and many of the others are wands, scepters and pommels probably attached to wooden scepters or clubs. None of these items seems to be a mouth-guard. There is a widespread acceptance that Philistines were indeed the Peleshet. And the word Peleset does have a superficial connection with Pelasgoi, or Pylos, or Phaistos and other Greek names. But the link of the Peleset with the Achaians is far from established, appart from some scarce linguistic and art referances. There is a huge linguistic gap between the names and toponyms of late bronze/early iron age Cannaan (such as Goliath and Gath for instance) and what we read in linear b script (the palatial scripture of the Achaians which is a recognlzable form of early Greek). Linear b was syllabic, therefore single-syllable toponyms such as Gath or Dan would be highly improbable. On the contrary, it seems that the Greeks rather tended to add furhter syllables! As an example, the disciphered refference to "slave women from To-ro-ja" may actually reffer to Troy (Troia in Greek, Truassa in Luvian). The notion of "origin" in general (in early historiography), is tricky. As a relativelly recent example, historians of the 18th century AD, were saying that "pirates originated from Martinique" while we now know for a fact that they initially came from allover the globe, gathered and organised themselves in Martinique and used it as their initial base. Speaking about sea-peoples we tend to forget how cosmopolitan late-bronze age was! Sea-people stronghold was probably Cyprus (Alassiya in Egyptian). Therefore, the given origin of Crete (Capthor) is certainly older, the question is how much older. It's one thing to mean that Peleset came from Caphtor to Alassiya, and another one to mean that they literally originated in Capthor. It is even possible that the Peleset were a group of revolted slave-tribes from the Aegean (much like how the Israelites identify themselves in Exodus), but they don't appear to be Greek-speaking. And we cannot say otherwise without written evidence of the actual ancient Philistine language, yet to be found.

Full face masks were a Macedonian burial custom, greek burial custom's would have been something closer to Jewish burial custom's as the ancient Greeks are descendants of the Israelites who turned up after the eruption of the Santorini volcano which erupted around 1500bce! The Macedonians who used to occupy the ancient city of Hella and abandoned it during the volcanic eruption and relocated further east to the new city of Pella which the Israelites who were simply known as Greeks by the Macedonians who pronounced it Grejci pronounced Greitsi in english meaning foreigners.... These foreigners occupied the ancient Macedonian ruins until being conquered by King Philip II and remained conquered until the fall of the Macedonian empire to the Romans and finally by the mighty ottoman empire for the rest of the 500 years! The word Greece hadn't even been invented yet, it wasn't until the Rosetta stone was found that it was believed that it was greek, which it wasn't! There are 3 alphabets used on the Rosetta stone and they are Egyptian hieroglyphics at the top, Macedonian koine at the bottom and as we have learnt from the recent decipher the middle text is ancient Macedonian Sanskrit! If you have followed the journey of the Rosetta Stone, you should know that in the early 1800's there was no one in Greece who could read anything written on the stone! It came down to British and French linguistic experts who believed that it was written in greek due to the same alphabet being used on the ancient ruins and texts found in the location where these Greeks occupied, the Macedonian koine alphabet was wrapped around the greek spoken language by the British and French linguistic experts who badly mistaken it as greek. That's why we don't see any evolution of the greek alphabet today! It just seems to have magically appeared out of nowhere! Never mind that it looks Slavic! And yet every Slavic speaking language all sounds similar, the Greeks on the other hand sound Spanish and even Jewish but use a Slavic alphabet.... There's a mismatch there that doesn't make sense! Actually all Greek history doesn't make sense! And if you were blindfolded and taken to Tunisia, you would think that you are in Greece! The architecture and the people look identical! We know from history that Tunisia is situated on top of the old Carthage, just like the Greeks who are situated on top of the old Macedonia, the bible tells us in the book of exodus that Moses was instructed by God to head for the piller of smoke by day and piller of fire by night, this piller was the island of Santorini volcano erupting! Archeology has shown us that the Israelites made it to the island of Crete, it's clear that from Crete they split between the ancient city of Hella Macedonia and the other side where the ancient city of Carthage was! It's evident that the Tunisian and greek heritage is one and the same as both originated out of Sub Saharan Ethiopia which explains the strong DNA linkage! You can clearly see it in actual pure Greeks who have dark skin and look just like anyone else in Tunisia! A caucasian greek is either Albanian or Macedonian by decent, though the Albanians are Macedonian by decent anyway.... Trying to fit the Greeks into ancient European history the way that it has been must stop! The Greeks were never an authority since they landed in Europe, they were held captive until the end of the Ottoman Empire! There was never a greek scholar! All so called greek writings were and still are in Macedonian by Macedonians! You couldn't possibly read ancient Greek writings because even though it appears to be written in greek, it's actually written in Macedonian koine and is incomprehensible to Greeks, just like the manuscript found in a greek church in Alexandria which the Greek priest commissioned a couple of Danish linguistic experts to try and decipher it, it was written in koine but made no sense in Greek until a copy of a few pages was sent to a Macedonian linguistic expert who was able to read it and provided a translation to the amazement of the Danish guys, they were told that it's not greek, it's in fact macedonian! Once you remove all mentions of Greeks from history, the only thing left is the Macedonians and suddenly history finally makes sense! It's the Greeks who have been chasing an unknown self history that have muddied the pure waters of actual history... It really begs to be rewritten, for the sake of factually correct history.

PS. Ok, reading furhter, this is far worse than I initially thought. If you visited a village 3 thousand years ago, nobody would make you a DNA analysis. Ancient civilisations are much more cultural than genetic! That's why you have the Achaemenid empire, for instance! Nations are a CULTURAL notion! The modern 'Macedonian language" (i.e. the language of the Repupblic of North Macedonia) is clearly Slavonic, with huge relations to modern Bulgarian! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonian_language#/media/File:Slavic_languages_tree.svg While modern Greek has a writen continuity of thousands of years. Linear B (~1500BCE) tablets are written in a form of Greek, not Slavic.... You are talking about distortion of history? You? Just a mere example for those who might take you seriously. You mentioned Macedonian Koine. You mean Greek koine, the dialect in which the Holly Book was first written in 1c CE. The specific example is the well known "Lord's prayer", first verse, English version: Our Father in heaven. Greek koine version: πάτερ ἡμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς. Transilteration: páter hēmôn ho en toîs ouranoîs. Modern Greek transliteration: patéra mas, (ho) stous ouranoûs. This is almost the same as the ancient original! While the Macedonian equivalent is: Оче наш, кој си на небесата, transliteration: Oče naš, koj si na nebesata. Almost NO resamblance to the original Koine! But almost IDENTICAL to the modern Bulgarian: Отче наш, който си на небесата, transliteration: Otče naš, kojto si na nebesata. You guys should count your blessings that the world decided to allow you a Macedonian national identity. But nope, you now whant to change the whole history to fit in your shoes.... sorry buddy, YOU just have to change shoes. The sooner, the better for you. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gX12l7WEd5bUn5M.html

The original jews are the palestinian people, who were ethnically cleansed by invading zionists alien to the land. The third temple, Alaqsa, was built by the people of jerusalem, many jews who converted to islam during its construction upon the liberation of jerusalem from roman rule and the return of palestinian jews to jerusalem in 632-634 ad. The invading zionists, according to Israeli author Shlomo Sand in his book "The invention of the Jewish people are jewish converts alien to palestine. In the 8th century ad the Khazar kingdom in ukraine converted to judaism and would go on to make the ashkenazi jewish population in europe. Yemenis converted to judaism during the yemeni kindom o Himyar in the 5th century ad during the rule of Dul Nawas. There were jewish kingdoms in iraq and north africa as well. The palestinians are the eternal natives of the land. Free Palestine.

Thank you, sir. I have a nodding acquaintance with this history. The whole situation in that part of the world saddens me and angers me, as I'm sure it does any non Jew and non Muslim. Most of them as well. It should never have come about. Anyone of European descent who hates a Semitic Muslim is an anti-Semite, just as anyone is who hates a Jew. As usual we have political leaders and those who aspire to power who have created this mess. Of course with help from others who are prone to fear and hate. And we have 75 or so years of pain and hate as a result. I seem to remember Teddy Koleck, (I/m pretty sure that was his name) who was for a time Mayor of Jerusalem, advocating a joint Administration for the city. Here is a city holy to three religions. History is what is past. Some things done cannot be undone. It's a reactionary pipe dream that you can go back to what was before. Cherish what was. Sorrow over the past debacles, the wars, the genocides. But move on.

With due respect, I will never take an Israeli university funded research on middle East as anywhere near truth. 1.Firstly, history is always approximate and are mostly interpretations from raw and incomplete data. And Israel has obvious motivations for interpreting history in a certain way. 2. I won't take a history lesson form scholar who considers biblical mythology as basis of their framework, not questioning it's historicity, and basically not believing it being mostly fiction, and then interpreting history by comparing it with biblical mythology. 3. Historians will be doing a great disservice to history if they take religious texts written by god-fearing priests as a main source for recreating history. Did the red Sea split apart to give way for Moses? Or did moses' stick turn into snake and killed other snakes? Did Jacob wrestle with god? Did Solomon talk with animals? But if historians consider consider other parts of Bible as a source, why are there no thesis written about stick turning into snake? I am not saying that there is no history in religious texts, only I am saying is that they aren't a reliable source at all. It is like analogous to bringing "creationism" to " theory of evolution. " History may not be a complete and meaningful story, but it shouldn't be a fictional one.

The Babylonians did not exile entire populations, only a minor fraction of them, such as artisans and nobility, this applies to both Jews and Philistines. Most of the original populations (add Canaanites and other cultures than were neither one) remained in place and were not displaced. Same way, only a fraction "returned" generations later. Both cultures changed drastically after the Babylonian conquest and then again after Geeks and Romans conquests, and of course Muslim/Arab. But again, no large movements of people, mainly conversions and mixing. There was no mass exile after the Romans conquered Palestine, and other revolts (before and after C.E.) but significant massacres, conversions and mixing between Pagans, Jews, Christians, and Muslims and then the crusades and there were MULTIPLE religions with significant variations of Paganism, Judaism and Christianity. There were no massive movements of people, that were irrelevant compared to the number of converts, that constitute most (all) of Christians, Muslims AND Jews today. During Roman times there were more Jews OUTISDE of Palestine/Judea than in it and almost 100% of them were converts (everybody was a convert at one point or another) and not migrating Jews. Problem with bias "history" is that it likes to twist or ignore facts as convenient to their narrative, and this video is just another sad example.

For us a Chinese who accepts God's commands and believes in Abraham ,Isaac, Ishmael,Moses, Zachariah,David etc.and then the final messenger Muhammad peace be upon them all is our brother and children Abraham Isaac Ishmael. 5 times a day we pray and ask God in our prayers to grant the blessings to us like God blessed Abraham and his descendants. If your argument is based on race then you should allow the pashtun/pathan/talibans of Afghanistan to live in Israel because they belong to a tribe of Jews but for you they won't be acceptable because they are Muslims now. What about the Jews who became Muslims? Will you accept them as the people who have rights to live in Israel? One has to be a Jew and at the same time belong to the same race. This proves who people religiously communal and racists at the same time but we muslims are just religious communals. We have an open arm , anyone from Africa to Brazil to China to India or Israel can be our brothers in Islam. You have no way and one has to be born a Jew. You rejected Jesus and Muhammad, how can we even believe you will accept anything else ? Your arrogance will lead you to punishment from God inshaAllah.

I have a legitimate question as Im always fascinated by linguistics and those who needed to know how to read/write. Naturally this was often the domain of religion - but clearly it applied to traders, and even in Ancient Egypt you can find items that could only have come from very distant trade in Afghanistan (lapis lazuli, of course). And the only other interesting bit I know isrelated is that the Parthians and Achaemenid Persians had their own lingua franka for all diplomatic communication and they chose Aramaic. This is of course quite distinct from Indo-european languages as farsi is. Are there any clues left behind by traders that adopted scripts that are easier to read, like hieratic Egyptian or something agreed upon when not at war with each other?

@@jilldent5514 I mean it’s true to some extent. Abraham did settle in Canaan and had a massive family group. It’s not logical to think that 100% of that massive family group and branch families all followed Jacob to Egypt after 3 generations of drift. So the groups that remained would be much more like the other Canaanites than the Israelites because the law had not been given yet. The major distinction is the construction of house’s that were uniquely Israelite, the lack of pork and like this guy said pottery. So sure, there were likely Abrahamic Proto-Israelites in Canaan for the entire time even if the Exodus happened exactly as described in the Bible.

I was grateful to hear your explanation of the Arabic word Filastin (Falastin?) which pronunciation I heard during an interview of a Hamas leader referring to Palestine (I wonder if the PLO and/or Hamas don’t distinguish the term Philistine from Palestine because the pronunciation is the same - were you suggesting that Arafat’s reference to the term Philistine might indicate that Arafat believed that pre-1948 Palestinians descended from the Philistines and Jebusites? Or perhaps Arafat and other PLO leaders attempted to politically establish that non-Jew Palestinians have ancient claims to the land because of the potential confusion that can be created by the Arabic word Filastin (Falastin?)for both Palestine and Philistine?). 0:37

And the real kicker is the DNA research we are getting. I was surprised the other day to find out the closest living relatives to the ancient Assyrians are not modern Assyrians but Iraqi and Kurdish Jews. I'm guessing this is because they did not intermarry following the Muslim conquest.

I found it shocking that the same place Goliath comes from, the same place had troops that fought for King David and when David's son rebelled, they helped David, so if these are Philistines then it means King David was allies with the Philistines or they at least had 'mad respect' for him as a leader. You should talk about that topic and relationship. Also, about the Crete origin. You should have showed pottery from Crete, but why Crete. Think of it this way: The people living in what are called Philistines traded with Crete, then the volcano destroyed much of their civilization so a group of them immigrated to blend with the Philistines, but the Pleshette were already there, and they came there via a contract made with an Egyptian pharaoh who ultimately realized it better to put them on the edge, to act as a buffer state. So yes, you can see Minoan and Mycenaean but realize when you say 'Greek' you are really speaking of two separate groups and cultures blended in layers together, and later then blending into what we call Pleshette resulting in another layered blended society, like a Palimpsest.

Neither should have 100% claim to the land, therefore, the land needs to be shared between them whether it's a secular 1 state solution or 2 state solution. However, one has to wonder, who really does have more claim to the land: the people with 50% native DNA who left the land 1800-1900 years before they returned, or the people with 50% native DNA who never actually left?

Except you have Jews that never left the land, so if your logic is giving it to the people who never left the Jews get it. As for the 2 state solution, that was offered to the Palestinians about 7 times since the 1930s, and they refused each time. A 1 state solution is not possible at all. So, in all honesty, how are the Jews to have peace with the Palestinians? When at every turn the Palestinians refuse peace? They turned down every logical and realistic attempt at offering them land, and the Palestinian organisations such as Hamas outright call for the destruction of the Jews.

Whom you call Palestinians today are spillover Arabs from West Jordan, Syria. There has never been any group/race which has direct lineage from any historical ascendants known as Palestinians. On the flip side Jews are and always will be the natural and original inhabitants of the land of Judea. Muslims have carved out tens of Islamic nation states from Christian and Hindu lands via war and conquests. Jews have but one tiny homeland and never subjugated others to steal land away from them. They were driven away by the intruders, mostly Muslims. If a group of thugs drive you away from your home and occupy the property as new owners, they do not become legal owners. Why won't your kids come and reclaim what is rightfully theirs? Where will they reside if not their homeland? There are no such race or people called Palestinians with any direct lineage to the ascendents that lived in those times, because there were none even then. The region (not the people) was on and off described as Palestine. The Palestinian identity is purely based on political lines drawn out by the British and have no historical race or descendant-based claims, unlike the 12 tribes of the Jewish people who originated from the lands of Judea, Samaria, Galilee and adjoining areas, which, like the Kashmiri pundits are the original inhabitants of the land from time immemorial.

Excellent video, the sheer historical facts which honest historians will confirm but there's also the case of the b'nei anussim of the region (the ones Arabized and Islamized, unlike those of Iberian origin like myself who were converted to Christianity to save their lives in the Portuguese harbor as they had lost the last ships leaving that nation after the expulsion), whom Tsvi Misinai wrote about in his book and makes wonderful videos about here on KZread telling their stories! Todah rabah ve kol hakavod, from a Brazilian ben anusssim who loves Eretz Israel!

@@reggiehendrix1265 All of the Bible, all ancient recorded history, all ancient area forensics, and thousands of years of area artworks ranging from glyphs to murals, mosaics, portraits, and statuary confirm the Levantine caucasoid of the ancient Hebrews. All of the ancient people groups indigenous to the Fertile Crescent of the Near/Middle East were, and still are, Levantine caucasoids who share a close genetic kinship - Hebrews, Lebanese, Assyrians, etc. Blacks are indigenous to the sub-Saharan of West Africa, much much further south and on an entirely different continent. Educate yourself by perusing all of the very ancient Hebraic synagogue mosaics recovered during archaeological excavations all across the landscape of ancient Israel & Judaea. With art made by their own hands, the ancient Hebrews reveal themselves as the fair and ruddy biblical Levantine caucasians they were, and without exception.

Perhaps some of us are unaware that so-called non-black people have only been on the planet for six to ten thousand years and are NOT human according to science precluding them from being the characters in Genesis. Remember, Genesis is about human origins and last time I checked socalled nonBlack people are not human.

I was going to mentioned the links between the Canaanites and the Israelites and the fact that the so called Israelis were well before the time of Mose's and the biblical stories of the Israelites that they were a breakaway group of Canaanites who left Canaan to start a new way of religious belief.. The rest is history. But you explain it far better than I. Great podcast.

I kind of miss the explosion of Thera as a starting point of the bronze age collapse, the Mineoans and the Phoenetians.
