One of the most influential voices in comedy, Jerrod Carmichael is set to host the 80th Annual Golden Globe® Awards.
The three-hour telecast serves as the official kickoff to the 2023 awards season and will air live coast-to-coast on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on NBC and Peacock.
The Golden Globe Awards is one of the biggest nights on the calendar for live viewing. It's also one of the few awards shows that combines the honorees of both film and television.
Produced by Dick Clark Productions and Jesse Collins Entertainment in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide. Helen Hoehne is president of the HFPA. Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon will serve as executive producers.

It was either Banshees or Everything. Two very different films, but they are arguably the two most unique stories that have been beautifully constructed onto the big screen. I love both films and I hate that one of them had to lose. For some reason I thought Banshees was going to win best picture because McDonough had already won best screenplay over the Daniels script 🤷♂️
This is not musical nor comedy. This is pure drama and the best movie of the year. Period.

I’m with those who say that Banshees wasn’t really a comedy (unlike EEAAO, which was one). Banshees had a lot of comedy in it, but the main thrust was serious, even tragic, and the comic parts were more incidental. It thoroughly deserved to win, but in a different category.
By far, the most deserving film! I felt like I was swept away and living in that world. Martin McDonagh is the writer who affects my soul and makes me laugh nonstop.

It’s got a lot of the Irish humor I’m used to but, a lot of my American friends just found it depressing. I thought it was brilliant though, well deserved win!

Yeah, a guy chopping his fingers is f'ing hilarious and just screams "THAT"S ENTERTAINMENT!"
Everything Everywhere not winning is a crime even though Banshee was still really good.

I feel like that’s gonna end up winning best picture. For me it was bashees and everything everywhere are the only 2 movies that I loved and I felt stood out this year

BANSHEES OR EEAAO SHOULD WIN THE OSCAR, but NOT Fabelmans…
"Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" was WAY funnier. "Banshees" barely qualifies as "comedy" at all.

Everything Everywhere All At Once was robbed. That is one of the most original and unique movies I’ve seen in a while. Banshees is stupid and depressing.
