The fact that both Priscilla and Lisa Marie are there supporting him & touched their hearts, almost at the same time, while hearing Austin, just shows that he deserves everything and more from this film. You can feel how much that meant to both of them. Especially when Austin mentioned memories, Priscilla really took that in. 🖤

This young man earned this, he submerged himself into this role for over two years and it paid off. Which brings me to my next point, his voice, people need to understand that he went so deep with this part, lived it for so long that he lost himself a little, he's having trouble losing the twang at times. But his very low natural speaking voice is damn near, octively, similar to Elvis' anyway, he can't help that.

Coming to see this almost immediately after the announcement of Lisa Marie’s death, makes Austin’s words only that much more touching and heartfelt. It’s clear how much respect and dedication he put forth in the “Elvis” movie, his performance was absolutely phenomenal. Fear not, they are both so proud. Lisa Marie will be supporting him from wherever she may be. R.I.P Lisa 🕊

Heartfelt acceptance speech, still sounding like Elvis using "My boy, my boy" opening phrase that Elvis used in his 68 Comeback Special, "Oh my boy, oh my boy." LOVED his performance and he nailed Elvis in the biopic. Great film. He is so deserving of Best Actor. Hope he wins the Academy Award as well. You can see how touched Pricilla and Lisa Marie were listening to his speech. Such a touching moment.
