I think that most if not all of cf99 dies because how else would you explain their absence from rebels. Also Cody likely dies for the same reason. I know for a fact that he would definitely chill with Rex Wolfe and Gregor on that atte

Same while i do wish that we had more evil crosshair in last seasons before he finally realised that even the clones that matter to the empire don’t actually matter I’ve always said imo the only reason he turned wasn’t because of Cody it was because of mayday mayday basically was like him willing to serve the empire then when he was on deaths door and they didn’t help him that’s when he realised that the clones that matter to the empire don’t matter and what hunter said was right

@@nchldmn Given that this season is going to have to explain how/why Rex retired, it wouldn't surprise me if these new clones are imperial 501st. Rex being forced into fighting against the men he previously fought alongside seems like a good reason for him to quit. Especially if Ventress, a force user, is involved, it would make sense for Vader and his legion to be involved as well.

@@ClonedGamer001 Given that Vader's 501st is the only legion that still has their original color markings and Phase 2 armor up until the OG storm trooper armor comes out, its a safe bet. I dont see the 187th out of every legion keeping their armor coloring, especially since we see even the 212th going to basic white armor. One other possibility is this possible purple clone are the head hunter clones from the EU. Either way, I hope we get some rouge vader era 501st clones so we can hear about the messed up stuff they had to do under Vader's command.

Heres another. Ventress is reusing one of her sith sabers because the original prop was reused for Maul in the final arc. I'm gonna assume Dark Disciple is gonna be slightly reworked like Son of Dathomir. My guess is that that when Ventress was at the Jedi temple and pardoned for her war crimes the Jedi returned her sabers as a sign of trust and whatever and they had purified at least one. I wish they had just recycled one of the concept art designs. Many sabers of the PT era share the same design language.

Slightly off topic, but if they allowed Maul to use his brother's lightsaber in the final season of Clone Wars, then Ventress could have used the original design. In my head, Maul using his brother's lightsaber to honor him fits. Even though he claimed to treat Savage as a Sith master, he definitely treated him more as a brother.

Imo, that is not her blade. Her original blade was green, but as Anakin tinkered with Ahsoka's and they became blue, when Ventress got hers back, it felt her change and turned yellow. After all Revan's became red by instinct when he became a Sith, or something like that....

Maul couldn't use Savage's lightsaber due to his imprisonment by Sidious. Ventress lost her pair to Bariss Offee, so she get new from black market, then died and Maul used it, probably with kyber crystal. Lightsaber from trailer resembles Clone Wars version, created by Dooku's first dark apprentice, but lacks bands and clips, so when she created them after her death, loss of weapon and revival. This also implies she wasn't revived by Mother Talzin, timewise. I don't now any other Night Sisters of that level of power. Her original green lightsaber, created under apprenticeship of Ky Narec, and his own, disappeared.

I thought that was Crosshair in that first shot! Noticed him later in the “we’re not good at following orders” scene. You and I notice all the same things Nick I love it. Can’t tell if Rex lacking the Pauldron is an accuracy thing or just a situational thing…we’ll have to wait and see. It is also endlessly funny and sad seeing just Scorch after all this time with all these Commandos. Like bro is up there with Sheev himself where are his boys??? Purple clone boi is dope and I hope he’s not just Rex in disguise. I cannot stress enough how happy it makes me seeing proper life support packs and breathing tubes on the TK pilots, pilots have been getting shafted since s1 and in the Boba flashback. Dope shot of Wolffe, plus a Commando, p2 Clones, and TKs, the full breadth…I’m cautiously optimistic and hopeful 🤞

Echo is only in 1 shot… I feel like I should be worried…

The only thing I'm nervous about is that Echo is not seen very much in this trailer, I have a big feeling he's gonna die... As much as I'm hyped and can't wait for the season to air, I will be heartbroken if he dies and will watch the episodes in tears

Filoni seems to dislike Cody Filoni always prefers his own creations before anything else (Rex) So I expect him going Awol was just to write him out of the show ,So Rex can take up more of the spotlight.

I'd rather a novel be retconned than previous film media. Waaaaay more people watch the shows and movies than read the books, so ventress was a loose end for the vast majority of star wars fans

I’m gonna be honest here, I’m pretty sure at one point in season 3 echo probably dies, or he might not. Idk, but if they do kill him off then the last surviving member of the late domino squad is gone. Idk I’m just thinking they’re killing him off at one point due to the only scene he got in the trailer.

Missed the connection with the shuttle, but I felt that the first scene after Rex said "lose more of our brothers" was Teth or Tatooine and the next new, to show the clones' loss of life during and after the Clone Wars. Also you confirmed my worst fears that I chained inside my heart to hope it never happens, Pabu being overtaken. Glad to see Crosshair saved.

CX-1 is going to be tech who has been mind wiped and programmed like the poor clone in season 2. I'm calling it

⁠@@SupChad735I always felt like the bad batch was supposed to kinda replace delta squad to a degree, or at the very least overshadow. If we do get a series of them, it’s not gonna be for several years I feel.

A thing to point out, the crashed shuttle has marron markings on it, the shuttles on mount tanis had grey markings on them

I always thought that your selection of the soundtrack is really great in trailer breakdown

Rex prob removed his pauldron cuz he ain’t got the rank anymore to signify clone wars over he don’t need it

They also missed out the part when Crosshair and Hunter were trying to reach out for wrecker when jumping into the shuttle in the first scene in the trailer a lot of reactors miss that :(

I remember seeing another thing about yellow saber ventress and I'm actually excited!

As much as I love Rex's Phase two armor, it makes sense that he wont have it in this season. In Rebels we see him in completely different armor than what he originally wore minus that fact that he still had his helmet. Though I do wish rebels kept his arc trooper look.

I believe it was the same armor, Rex is just losing bits and pieces of it and changing it to fit him better. We have art which depicts that by the time of Endor, he's only wearing the gauntlets.

Am I imagining it, or does Ventress now has a mix of Skywalker and Kenobi's fighting style? Focus on defence and that stance at the end is pure Obi-Wan kind of. Lightsaber swinging is signature Anakin move.

She did fight them the most of any jedi in the clone wars canonically, so it would make sense that she picked up some things from them and ahsoka too

Florida Everglades man got tired of earth animals so he had to interstellar travel and find new swamp puppies to yoink xD

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the series ends on a really dark note and maybe only crosshair and omega survive 🤷‍♂️

I think one of the 2 new clones shown in the trailer is named “Rex” but isn’t Captain Rex since sometimes there a clones who share the same nickname but are completely different clones like there a 501st clone trooper named “Fox” and “Commander Fox”

I can only imagine that Rex would be a sort of fairly common name, especially since Rex himself was a fairly well known clone. I can see some shiny wanting the name for himself. Plus, I remember this one weird fanfic where Vader was kidnapping and mindwiping blond clones so he could pretend that they were Rex. Would be funny to sort of see that on screen

If Asajj did in fact die, she did so by the hands of Dooku, who is most definitely dead during the events of Bad Batch. Either it is a flashback or otherwise she did not die.

Honestly I’d prefer that somehow ventress survived. Dark disciple was cool but I feel like her character has so much more potential as freelancing during the early years of the empire. Concerning Ventress, "Following Dark Disciple" doesn't mean they will stick to it word for word. The Disney books imo have always been, "Hey this is an idea we could use later." Ex: Ahsoka book, same base premise, Obi-Wan book.

Yea, about Rex missing his pauldron, I do speculate a few reasons. One, that is done to align with his look in Rebels where we didn't see the pauldron as well Two, pauldrons are used for protection and could be heavy to an extent. At this time Rex might be too old to handle the weight Three, pauldrons also signify ranks. Rex removing it might mean he does not lead as a captain, but as one entity with his brothers And four, removing his pauldron as a sign of rank and weight might also foreshadow him in the end, for a tragic reason (perhaps involves Echo, Cody, and the Bad Batch), decide to leave the war and his brothers behind and retire Hope someone sees this comment and make a video about it.
