When a human being awakens spiritually and starts living every day in the present moment, time ceases to exist for them. For time is just an artificial construct of the mind, and it's the mind that's trapped in time because society's widely spoken motto ( time is money ) keeps the human mind focused on a mindless path of consumption, instead of a mindful path of spiritual awareness. Praise to those who truly awaken out of the artificial mental constructs created by this false society. Thanks so much Eckhart. Have an egg-cellent easter weekend.

Another rather awful expression is "killing time," with its presumption that the current moment is somehow inferior to what's going to happen next, something better! My family members often remark that time is passing too quickly, which I understand, but it's not really passing at all in a linear manner, it only appears so to the mind, with all the limitations that implies.

You know what puts people in present moment - traveling. Arriving at a strange place, gets our attention focused. That's why we are addicted to traveling - it puts us in the moment. We don't understand why it feels so good... it takes us away from yesterday and tomorrow. We just focus on the moment, now, looking at all the strange, unknown things around. Forget about all the bs rolling in the head over and over at home....

When I was a kid, I was more present in what I was doing. I would segment my activities and focus my attention on whatever I was doing in each given moment. One day, my teacher asked me to read a passage out of a book out loud. I was so present when I read it, that afterward, the teacher was stunned. I actually felt my presence while reading it. I was so concentrated on just reading from that book, that no other thoughts entered my mind. It was as if I forgot I even existed. My presence showed in my voice. I read the passage just as well as a professional actor would read it for a movie. So, I know exactly what Eckhart is talking about. I hope that someday, I can regain that level of consciousness.

🙏...This sense of PRESENCE is the universe itself, life itself and nothing is more Real than this. A few years ago I spent a holiday in a small Italian seaside town. A wonderful place. One late afternoon I took a walk on the shore of the beach. It was a gloomy day and the sea was very stormy. There were very high waves. I was aware that it was dangerous to walk in front of this stormy sea but I was too fascinated by the beauty of this landscape and I didn't want to leave. Later during the night 18 persons drowned. It was a tragedy. At a certain moment I stopped because fear was taking over. Suddenly I don't know what happened but the fear disappeared and I looked at this boundless sea and these very high waves without judging their extreme beauty and without being afraid of them. I was an external and very powerful, very lucid eye, I was the sea, the sky, the black clouds, I was everything but IT WASN'T ME! It was an unforgettable and never-before-felt experience. It lasted only a few seconds. Then I hurried back up the road shocked by such a majestic sensation. IT was so REAL, more real than my fear more REAL of the incredible beauty of the landscape. It was truer than life. That was it. Impossible to say, you can only feel it. These meditations point to this Reality. So grateful 💓🙏✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🌺

@@ianIccyStewart Thanks, I'm happy with what you wrote to me because I thought I was boring😥😁 What I can tell you is only this: don't look for IT because IT IS always there with us, we are the ones who cannot see it and feel it lost in our madness🥴😂 IT exists ( better to say THERE IS but it doesn't exist) and is more Real than us! Don't forget this, especially in the most difficult moments. Good luck to you too ❤️

Hi everyone! Nice to share this meditation with you. Something he said tonight really resonated with me, about the lack of connection one can see in others who are lost in thought, and it made me wonder if this isn't part of the reason (or the main reason?) why many people feel isolated and lonely these days. Not only are we fixated on electronic devices, we have lost the habit of deep listening and witnessing, such as you find when walking in the woods. On vacation last week, my husband and I couldn't find a restaurant that wasn't playing music. Heaven forbid we sit quietly for a few minutes!

Excellent Video Professsor Eckhart! When you state a "Higher State Of Consciousness", it must be contingent on a meditative shift. For Alien Beings, this is embedded into our genetic sequence because we have evolved over a substantial period of time. Human beings must master breathing before anything else can be achieved.

Nothing is missing. I am breathing, looking, listening, feeling alive. Relax into the present moment. Meditation / Presence: Heightened state of alertness is very different than falling asleep. 13:40 You don’t need this moment to be different. Accept and be aware of this moment as it is. You don’t meditate to change anything or reach a peaceful state you don’t have now. What else is there beyond sensory perception this moment? Feel inner energy body, your hands and legs. It’s subtle. He is trying to help everyone rise above their minds where most of their suffering exists, but not many people implement his wisdom and therefore remain in their suffering mental state.

It is ok that you feel that way. As you go a little deaper, it may grow on you. The view that I have taken from his teachings is that your life, always, is a meditation, or rather any meditation is a sign post to the feeling of oneness with all that is. I often feel such a presents every time Eckhart says the same thing over and over again. To me it is such a powerful and simple but radical thing.

I would like to say this most respectfully sir that 'meditation' perhaps is misunderstood as absence of sound.

@@deepjyoti_51 but isn't meditation meant to be about the absence of thinking, don't get me wrong I don't meditate so I much prefer to hear Eckhart talking but I'm just offering a view 🙏🙏🙏🙏

It's meditation to be in the present moment. Talking ore silent.

Every now ive ever known has been nothing but a fleeting memory, and has no fruitful outcomes, life is just a fluke and luck, Eckhart is the outcome of a fluke and luck, meditation is a lie..just admit to luck, or bad luck, thats all everything is, eg, Jesus had bad luck...
