He was ahead of his time. If he played today not only would he have a longer, healthier career we’d be talking top 5 all time.

Aresenio was a much better interview than I gave him credit for back in the day. Compared to what's out there right now in 2021, his approach was far more down to earth.

I loved watching him play in the late 90's and on. He was a skilled powerhouse. I miss that type of player, skill, and league. It's a shame he suffered through so many concussions...his brother Brett also played and retired VERY early after a few concussions that affected him severely. He was one of the tops in average points per game, as well as MVP and HOF. I'll always love Lindros!

It’s unfortunate he didn’t have better coaching growing up. Someone needed to be real with him and tell him eventually stickhandling with his head down was going to catch up with him

The only criticism I would have of him was buying into playing overly physical. He had so much creative talent that overemphasizing that part of his game took a little bit away from his skilled side in the end.

I agree. People of today's age don't realize how talented he was. He could knock you out and score 40-50 goals a year. I will admit he made it fun when he did his antics. I'm a sabres fan and those brawls were amazing. He would run the goalie or the crowd would chant his name. Injuries are horrible but at the time he made the game super fun.

@@davidkruse4030 agreed. The flyers did. They put nothing around him with third or fourth lines with scoring and skill. Flyers were a one-line team with the legion of Doom. Bobby Clark and Ed Snider forgot about the rest of the team. They had one great scoring line that's it. And the rest of their team was muckers and grinders. Flyers ran him into the ground

A flop by many accounts . He was expected to be " The One " ! A multi-million dollar and 5 player trade But never lived up to anything . He had a good career but so did a hundred other players . His fight card is shabby for such a huge guy . No memorible fights . He has never had a 50 goal season . This is the only player to refuse to wear the shirt of the team that drafted him !

47tooter if you knew the real story that Eric Lindros refused to play for the Quebec Nordiques because of their high level management said some derogatory things about his mother and father, so forgive Eric for standing up for his parents honor and refusing to wear that sweater. When your career is over you cannot ultimately control a team's success or not because hockey is a team sport that wins Cups or not, but for you to suggest and describe his hockey career as a " flop" is laughable and downright ridiculous and insulting to anyone who has an eye for hockey and talent because there was a 4 to 5 year period of time in the NHL that The Big E dominated play in the NHL " you joker!!!

47tooter I can respect your opinion and Eric did live up to the hype but many factors came into play that he did not reach the highest point of the hockey mountain ! Are you kidding right ?
