The Antique Inventory Doom Pile
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Nothing feels better than completing projects out of the inventory doom pile. As an antique dealer, and probably most of us that are, I have a doom pile of small projects, and items that need to be cleaned/priced. Now that the garage has been organized I can more easily get to work on the doom pile. DOOM stands for Didn't Organize Only Moved. Hilarious because that is exactly what I did on Vlogmas day 1 this year. Even though I had a few set backs with the glass I was I working with, I still feel like I got some solid work done. Cleaning, what felt like, a cluttered house has made me feel a lot better and I'm excited to get more done! Vintage and Antique Inventory Doom Piles are no joke! Hope you all enjoy Vlogmas 2022 Day 13.

At this moment my entire house is a DOOM pile 🤷🏻♂️
You’re willingly to try new things and that often comes will things not working out right away - I think that’s admirable!
It's never just one trip to Lowe's ! Can I get an amen?!!!!! TRUTH
Love Amanda and Mike in her series. Collecting treasures and adding a design element in booth design.
I am enjoying my first vlogmas with your channel. I am fascinated by what you choose to put in your booth and how you prep and stage it. I have always enjoyed visiting antique shops so it is fun to see a behind the scenes channel.
Watching your glass struggles definitely struck a chord! I broke 5 glass shelves dropped the top shelf & stood back in horror as the last four dropped to the ground & then I cried. This happened the day I was to move into my first antique booth. We've all been there!
Loved this episode! So brave to cut glass - I never have tried. Giving me incentive. 😅
One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish Love the blooper pile.
Religious prints would always sell so well in my booth. Especially if you framed them and added paint brush texture to them. I did a video on my channel a while back. Super easy profit. Also, the tab guns that put the little tabs on the back of picture frames really help prevent glass breaking at that last stage of putting in the nails. I also use it for securing glass in cabinets etc. It's a dull purchase but so handy. Check them out.
I loved the textured look on the pots- once the left over baking soda was brushed off it was obvious. Nicely done! And glass work is dicey...you gave it a go! I'm impressed with your learning on the go with the cutter!
Hang in there! You get massive kudos for even trying to cut your own glass! Next time will go better! I really love watching your videos! Thanks for keeping it real!
REALLY love that red wine windsor chair in the background 😍
Hang in there, sometimes it's best to just move on to something else when things don't go as planned. Bravo on the fish pics, luv them!😊 Really enjoying your Vlogmas!
Hang in there...think we've all had projects go this way! Kudos for being so brave and getting after it. You're so much fun to watch. Love Vlogmas ❤💚
At least you know how to cut glass now! Good for you!
Old glass is very difficult to cut ….it’s brittle and doesn’t cut well. What happened to you is typical. Mike is right glass can be brittle in cold temperatures….we have owned a glass business for 30 years…it’s definitely a talent and I give you credit for your efforts
I admire that you gave glass cutting a try - it's a thankless job. One comment on the fish prints - love the prints, but you need more space around the fish for them to show off to their best. Also, use archival backing boards instead of using the old cardboard - better for the print's longevity and it looks professional. I would rethink the green mat for the owls. Love your channel and all the staging.
No yelling here! I think it's awesome that you're trying to cut glass yourself. :)
Michael’s sells picture glass in most frame sizes
I love that you try anything! Your style is the coolest! So fun to watch - thanks for sharing!
You said that second piece of glass was thin.....that's why it broke. Have you considered making an "aged" mirror for that small frame using mirror paint and a spray bottle? Would look cool!😍 Vlogmas is stressful but thanks so much for doing it for us. We adore you.
You have no idea how much I enjoy you, your content, décor/design aesthetics AND your longer videos 🤎
Happy Thursday. You guys getting ice on that side of the mountain ?? I’ll bet the experts at the mirror & glass shop would be so willing to teach you a few things about cutting glass. Not to mention if they saw and knew how you went about it, they’d be impressed and happy to teach you. But good on you for your determination. And enjoy being able to apply mascara without the aid of magnified mirrors….😂😂
Just adore you. Happy holidays!
I like the framed fish, would look good in a cabin on the lake!
I’ve had days like this too!
Love longer videos from you ☺️🖤
Sorry but I couldn't help but laugh at you during the glass mishap😂
Your videos are so entertaining! Thank you for doing Vlogmas 🎄🎁
Wow those pots came out Fantastic, love them❤
And…now as I’m watching you have your glass kit 😂😂😂. PS I’ve been really enjoying your style, and content!
Awesome vlogmass
Love the fish pictures.
Nice to see you back working on projects.
Nice!
You are doing great !
Great job!! Love what you’re doing 😊
Love what u are doing! U go girl, A+ for trying! ❤🙏🏻
The pots almost look ancient now. Neat!
I love your fearless spirit!
Great video
You are awesome!!!
Loved the video on the doom pile. You did great repair and flips and touch ups. Great vlog.
You have a talent for finding fabulous velvet wing/arm chairs. I want them all.
Honestly, I think maybe we all have our pile of DOOM. When it comes to doing what we love. Some worse than others! Good job, keep on forging on. :)
I've had zero luck with glass cutters. Very frustrating. Thanks for the video.
Fish look great
Love the framed fish - very cute! I've tried to cut glass before for a couple of frames and it was a complete disaster - it's really hard! This video is definitely motivating me to tackle my doom pile...or piles 😬
I felt your pain when you were cutting that glass. Ugg. That kind of stuff happens to me all the time too when working on what *should be* an easy project.
What an awesome video! I love working with you on those projects so to speak. The fish pictures are so cute. I never would’ve thought of doing that. You will have to introduced us to the glass guy sometime. Would love more doom protects And cute music, Is so fun. Many thanks for the video!
You’re such a creative person. So what if it doesn’t always turn out, at least you tried.
I frame up alot of pictures and have had so many accidents happen just like yours. It is soooooooo frustrating! And glass right now is soooooo expensive.!!!
I'm having a great day catching up on your videos. Love watching you shop. Do you ever shop in Oklahoma? That brown rug or blanket in the last one looked Indian. Super. You're really upbeat and fun to watch.
You’ve got to learn to cut glass! It’s not difficult AND you can do stained glass type stuff and or repairs. All you have to do is measure with a straight edge, get a glass wheel cutter, dip it in oil/kerosene and roll it down line. Put pressure on the score and bada-boom😁
Thanks for the greta videos - love your style. Just wondering what you used to protect the metal bird feeder/bath?
One fish Two fish Red fish #@$% I broke the glass! 😄😄😄😄😄 We actually just delivered some furniture to a client today and took her an extra piece of glass for a cabinet we painted for her two years ago. My husband had ordered the one he needed to replace the broken piece ▪︎▪︎▪︎ plus a spare! Cuz yeah, breaks happen all too easily. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Ughhh cutting glass/mirrors can be such a pain! I’ve been cutting out mirrors for pretty gold frames that I find and I’ve had my fair share of broken glass 😅
Old glass
That wicker frame would look good in a sea glass color, the white does not pop...
Hey , we all have days like that ! Can you bring your frames w/ you to the glass store & sweet talk the guys to help you ....worth a try ... or wait for Marvelous Mike to help you !
Next time take those frames with you when you pick up the glass and have guy put the pictures back in and then the glass. Ooh that like the fish picture's
Have you tried gel stains - they make quick work on staining projects 💕 your videos
I do the same $&@#!!! practice makes perfect!!
Glass is scary
Amanda. Which vlog shows the new paint that you used on the wall. The wall that was black. Want to share this with someone. Really like it. Enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Still have the fish pics ? Price and do you ship ? Thanks
The fish are too big.
Such a beautiful girl😊😊😊😊😊😊
