The Ammonite Violin (Murder Ballad No. 4) - Caitlín R. Kiernan
I can't tell you how much I love this one. Hauntingly and beautifully, it creeps up on you. I made several attempts at it nearly 5 years ago, when I first started doing this, but I was never happy with it. This and VanderMeer's "Secret Life" have been my must-dos since the beginning and now I have done them both. Time to die.
Sync the concerto up. I think it works pretty good. When this is over do yourself a favor and keep listening.
Image credit to Lee Moyer (www.leemoyer.com/) and me for taking a picture of it. It is the cover of Kiernan's "Beneath An Oil-Dark Sea," volume 2 of her best-of anthologies.

I just recently stumbled upon Caitlyn. Thank you for another wonderful reading 😊🥃
I can never make it to the end of any of your readings on the first, twice or even third attempt to finish the story. Your damn voice lulls me to sleep everytime! Thank you for that, I have a notoriously hard time falling asleep, so long as I listen to you, I'm cured ❤ that being said I finally message it to the end of this story, it grips my heart. Thanks once again for another great story and your gift of telling
Glob this is one of your absolute best yet Thee! I loved it. Please do more CRK in the future!

Thank you so much Dorian. I absolutely will be. She's been remarkably prolific so I have so much to draw on. Good to see you again.
Excellent. Live to hear more from Kiernan or the wider mythos authors. Thank you very much!
Found your site via the Ligotti story an author I love. Now working my way through all your other brilliantly narrated stories and this one..WOW. What a fantastic writer she is Thank you from a rainy Bristol UK
Your voice, your narration, the story. 39 minutes if bliss! Fantastic, Thee, thankyou!!!
Thee, I am truly awed. Wow...I have to say this one by far truly takes the top spot. Excellent job my friend. Both in the choice of story, as well as oratory flawlessness.
Impossible not to listen to in one play
Great to see a post from you Thee, I cant wait to find the time today to listen. Especially knowing how much the production of this meant to you, as of course I hold your litterary interest in high regard, mostly due in part because we linger in the same dark literary Ally's.
I would describe few stories as “triumphs”, but this is surely one of them. Really makes me want to try to up my own game when I next sit down to write.
Is it Thee or Thou? I have to say how wonderfully you read and thank you again for This! I think this was one of the names in the book of short stories written by the authoress in The Red Tree.

It's "thee", I think in middle english or fake middle english or whatever they added the extra "e" and it appealed to me for some reason. It is indeed. The Red Tree is very good as are many of her stories. Glad you you enjoyed it.
kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4d7yreAe9Cbj7g.html sync this up at the beginning of Ellen's performance and then just keep listening. I can't do it for you. Experience has taught me that personal syncing is much more rewarding.

Thank you
who is the narrator?
Sync what concerto?
Good reading but the audio quality isn't so good on this one, Not bad mind you but not as good as the reading and story.
Someone downvoted this?

It's either a mistake or VanderMeer did it out of jealousy
