The Alchemist follows a boy, Santiago, as he attempts to learn his personal legend. The book is full of great lesson that transition far beyond the simple story of a boy.
These are some of the top quotes from the Alchemist, and they contain lessons that can be applied to your life.
The study of alchemy is not what the boy set out to learn, but as he becomes the alchemist, he learns to speak the language of the universe.
I hope you like this video about one of my favorite books: The ALCHEMIST BY PAOLO COELHO

I have read this book 2 years ago and did not understand it much but I reread it and I cried at the end. When the alchemist said "If I had told you, you would'nt have seen the pyramids. They're beautiful, aren't they?" I Was so touched when he said that and when Santiago said " So I love you because the entire universe conspires to help me find you"😊I will forever keep this in my heart

I just finished reading this book to my 6 and 7 year olds. I think it has important values. We did a few pages a day and I asked them question and quizzed them about it everyday to make sure they were paying attention and engaged. The tribesman who was searching the alchemist’s belongings found a small crystal flask filled with a liquid, and a yellow glass egg that was slightly larger than a chicken’s egg. “What are these things?” he asked. “That’s the Philosopher’s Stone and the Elixir of Life. It’s the Master Work of the alchemists. Whoever swallows that elixir will never be sick again, and a fragment from that stone turns any metal into gold.” The Arabs laughed at him, and the alchemist laughed along. They thought his answer was amusing, and they allowed the boy and the alchemist to proceed with all of their belongings. “Are you crazy?” the boy asked the alchemist, when they had moved on. “What did you do that for?” “To show you one of life’s simple lessons,” the alchemist answered. “When you possess great treasures within you, and try to tell others of them, seldom are you believed.”

One can never achieve more than what his life is destined for nor can he achieve earlier than when it is destined for. But still we as humans are required to continually perform our duties. Duties towards parents, family, nature and society. Every human should continually try to learn, improve and practice mindfulness and be aware appreciate everything of the present moment. For there is nothing left in thinking about the past - And there is nothing that can be achieved by worrying about the future. Anything and everything that you seek, want and can do lies in the present. Your entire life is in the present. - Bhagwad Geeta ( book/audiobook can be found in English)

After you read the first quote about the signs, my phone just slipped through my hands straight in the toilet. First minute I was upset and frustrated, but then suddenly I started to feel calmness and that turned into a laugh. "Is this a sign I should follow?" I asked myself.
