He is not. There is no King of Italy or Prince of Venice anymore. That guy would be heir to the throne and actually sued the Italian People for 260 million euro claiming the exil was "injustice". Italys response was to threaten him to sue for reperations for the victims of fascism since the royal family was supporting Italian fascism like crazy. PS: It wasnt just a law precenting himbfrom entering italy - it was the constitution and in my opinion they shouldn't habe changed it.

He obviously doesn't have to do it: his family - despite not being the Kings anymore - still have lots of wealth and property in Europe (the family had estates and assets in many countries, including Switzerland and they are still related to many European royal and noble families). He is doing this food thing as something of a hobby, but he is clearly passionate about it.

Guys, I’m from Italy and believe me, this is a delicacy that is not as common as you’d think... people don’t go around making fresh pasta everyday, and they sure don’t know how to make it THAT good... most Italian recipes are made of just a few ingredients, and making them taste good is something that you can easily learn, but making them taste and look amazing is something else... Anthony Arena No it wasn’t. He spent half the video whining about his exile to the ski chalets of Switzerland. He mentioned that. They showed numerous pictures from his youth, on the slopes, etc. And he bemoans his plight of his families loss of royal status. He even quotes near the end about everyone has to sit on their ass so that means we’re all equal. Also, about his stupid career as an Italian TV host. So, I don’t give a fuck about the food once he started talking about royalty bullshit. Miss me w/ that. I was here for the food too. And it was about anything but. I think life has shown him highness and welfare but in a lonely way, he never felt accepted by his people. Then he discovered normal life and he challenged to live, then he appreciated simple things he missed for a long time and got in touch with his human being better. I'm happy for him for having gone down a few steps and enjoing life in an easyer way.

I love all the Street Food Icon episodes but this might be my favorite. So much joy in this man, so much history I learned about his culture and his royal lifestyle, the fact that he makes FRESH PASTA ON A TRUCK IS B L O W I N G MY MIND

That looks way better than 90% of the “fresh pasta” I had I’ve had in Italy. We saw barilla pasta boxes stacked up in a few restaurant kitchens that claimed they made fresh homemade pasta

@@juliecorrencon2556 No, in italy Barilla is considered one of the worth choice in terms of taste and money because it isnt so expensive, but u must be sure that is always an industrial product and in u feel it in front of other type of pasta .(garofalo, de cecco, rummo if you want check it ;)

It shows only that fame feeds easily other fame. No one would have cared about this video if he was a “normal” italian, which he actually is, but since he holds a titular title he is OG and all that stuff in america. He is a cool dude but it’s astounding how people are suprised of a Prince being famous and doing a truckload of different things, it would be amazing if he was a nobody

Obviously he is smart enough to realize there was a need in the market and he fulfilled that need with amazing food. Genius gourmet pasta out of a food truck with imported Italian chefs.

*He used also to sing in the most famous Italian music Festival, Sanremo Festival and he recently tried to become a politician! How humbling to see him being the One serving people and not being served! I am so blown away*

This changes my perception of burger king

I met him in 2003, it was the first time they were allowed back in Italy. He came on tour to his grandmother’s high school, which I attended. I dressed up with a replica of her uniform.

Ain't gonna lie the guy is chill as hell and that pasta and spagetti is looking good.

Well, this is obviously much better than a fancy high priced restaurant Sidebar: I have eaten at fancy restaurants and even if it has a Michelin Star ranking doesn't mean it will taste better than similar offerings that are better executed.

JP G have you never heard a Northern Italian or French accent before? He sounds French other than when he is saying Italian words. I think he sounds french because his royal family are from Savoia which included parts of Eastern france and he grew up in a French speaking country.

Right now Emanuele is back in Italy to be one of the judges in a talent show called “Amici”, where guys and girls train to become professional singers and dancers ✨ this is actually a pretty famous tv programme here in Italy, especially among young generations🙌🏻❤️

@@bangtang1717 his family was the last monarch of Italy, I think his grandfather was the last king. After WW2 his family was exiled due to them supporting Mussolini and for other issues that monarchy caused. You can read online about his family - house of Savoy.

Ciao tutti, As an Italian I can weigh in on this. The reason his family, the house of savoy, is exiled from Italy (why he is in America) has to do with fascism. After WW2, victor emmanuele was the king of Italy. He enabled Mussolini’s rise to power and appointed him and was made emperor of Italy’s conquered territories. As a result, after the war and the rightful death of Mussolini, he was subsequently exiled just 30 something days after passing the monarchy to his son Umberto. A republic of Italy was established and all descendants of the monarchy are exiled. So this guy is directly related to Umberto and as a result was exiled, as all males of the savoy line were. I believe the exile has been lifted but I suppose he chooses to live in America. So yeah, the reason this guy has a food truck is a direct result of the Italian monarchy’s complacencies in fascism. Basically what I’m saying is that his family is responsible for fascism and when the tide turned on the royals they fled without remorse, and now the other relatives live lives of indulgence without having worked for anything really. At least this guy is productive with his life... well, except for the time that he advocated for reestablishing the Italian monarchy through (ironically) electoralism

@@Gaiwen_Li ....how does that not make sense? he and his family stole italy's money and they threw him out but at the time, you didnt have access to people's bank accounts. they coniscated their mansions and everything they could get their hands on IN ITALY but his family stole the money and put it in international bank accounts. he's a piece of shit and so is his family so its interesting seeing people do the "ohhh, WOW he's a PRINCE!" on here. not much of a "prince" if your own people spit in your face and take away your mansions and tell you to go fuck yourself.

Ryos Prime Also, he’s not a prince in the sense that he is not the son of a King. His grandfather was the last king of Italy, his father was like 10 when the family was exiled. So this guy was born to a man that was never King and who would have lost their claim to the throne due to marrying a commoner. The heir to the throne would have been passed to the Savoia-Aosta branch of the family. I’m sure you’d be fun at parties too if you ever got invited to any 😆
