It's on par with every other star wars thing. Theory in the past has made shit up to support his claims that it's bad. He decided how to feel about it before the show even aired. The fact that he keeps bringing up Mundi, the most arrogant Jedi on the council, means he's grasping at straws or not understanding the story presented. I don't think he's stupid so he probably has a weird agenda.

This is a hilarious point. There were also some complaints about Ewoks, but you are right, those 'problems' are nothing compared to what Star Wars is facing today. People who like Disney Star Wars only do it for political reasons. They lie and call us bigots for not liking it because they have to defend the DEI that went into creating it. I usually think the term "woke" is overused and often meaningless BUT The Acolyte has EARNED it! The people who made the sequel trilogy are not fans but the people making this clearly are. Yoda would immediately sense Jedi dying because no Jedi have been killed in centuries. Qui Gon was the first Jedi to be killed in hundreds of years, and his death and the cause of it sent shockwaves across the republic and the Jedi order because a Jedi being killed was unheard of.

Why does no one else beside JJ (he talked to George for advice for Rise of Skywalker), call up George Lucas? Talk to him! Ask for advice! Maybe some guidance? Or maybe use legends material (Edit: respectfully, not just throw it in there, or change it to help fit a poorly written story)? Do your research! @@Rastamanjungle Hey, just to preface this i'm not taking sides in this debate, i just wanted to say that your comment of most popular star wars content ever isnt true, the first 4 episodes (5th afaik doesnt have any viewer statistics) got a total of 3,197,479 views combined, which is nearly 50% less than just the final 3 episodes of kenobi, and nearly 90% less than episode 3: revenge of the sith. It's definitely not the most popular star wars content. As for whether its good, i personally think it could be better, but i don't believe that to be a fault of the actors, or the vfx department, they seem to be doing really well with what they have, the script has just been rather off, and there have been major plot inconsistencies that break existing disney canon. I for one am excited for season 2, and hope they take on some of the criticism they have recieved and make an even better show :>

Lucasfilm should be brought up on charges for brand mismanagement. Just look at how they’ve managed Vernestra Rwoh. She’s one of the original High Republic characters and was designed as a character young girls could identify with during this new era. She’s described as the following: Vernestra Rwoh was seen as a prodigy amongst the Jedi. Vern was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight at the tender age of 15, making her the youngest Jedi to hold that rank in a very, very long time. Imagine reading about her as a young woman. Really developing a relationship with her as a character and being a fan. Only to see the Acolyte turn her into a scheming bureaucrat who’s trying to coverup the return of the dark side and keeping information from the Jedi counsel. Lucasfilm has managed Star Wars from a brand with perpetual billion dollar movies to one that releases streaming shows that drive more views on KZread videos critiquing them than watching the shows themselves.

Sounds like Headperson is making stuff up as she goes. This was never a scenario or a plan. She seems to think that she can fluff it up retroactively.

"The Sith have been extinct for a millennium." - Ki-Ati-Mundi in TPM The problem is, a Sith kills a dozen Jedi in this show, which is set just 100 years before TPM, and Ki-Adi-Mundi is even in the damned show. Sad. Also, Anakin was unique because he was "fathered" by the Force itself, it had never happened before. Yet now some witches in a commune on a backwater planet are able to do this with the Force, out of the blue, 100 years before Anakin? And there were twins? Did the Jedi Council just suddenly forget about them? It's absurd.

Part of what we love about Star wars is exploring this huge universe. The genius of the OT was the universe felt "old" and lived in. Like it had a history. So, we want to know more about that history. We've all spent years trying to fill in the blanks. Ki Adi Mundi's statement in the phantom menace was a key marker for this time period, and this show is pissing all over it.

There is so much bad with this show , but the girl playing the twins acting, particularly her facials are so so terribly blatantly bad , that how she got past auditions is wild , how that performance got an OK/pass from the producers is wild . This show is a million things before it's a bad star wars show.

how much more abysmal can you go? The only thing this show is doing is giving me so much more appreciation for the originals. A much more civilized age

I still can’t get over that a series on Disney has a scene where the emotionless female just stares at some murderer’s junk and was interested, talk about sickening. And Star Wars is meant for a family series to get into a space drama, and yet they present this? It’s bad enough that the strange space witches moaning and grunting around young children (also funny that they are wearing robes that are the color of Crown Royal bags, lol), now with this it really isn’t star wars. We shouldn’t be having strange fifty shades of Jedi/Sith in this, this space dumpster fire is bad as it is already.

They did not want to create, they are here to replace. Hence twins to replace Luke and Leia, purple lightsaber to dump on Mace, and obviously the witches creating life long before Sith. As in, anything George came up with is to be portrayed as being based on her lore.

Qimir admits he was a jedi 'long ago', meaning he was in the order as a padawon, then a knight at the least. That means he had a jedi as a master. Thats settled. He also keeps using the wrong terms and his knowledge in some aspects seems very strong, but in others completely fragmented or missing. He keeps using the wrong terms that a Sith should have no issues with. "Power of two"? "Rule of Two" he should have said. That also implies its just him, or at least he thinks that its just him. I am pretty sure he fell as a Dark Jedi, found a Sith holocron which can teach you actual real powers and skills, or for a time did spend a period with Tenebrous, but not long. He obviously has a lot of power, but he is not even an apprentice, or wasnt one for long. Headland has little idea of what shes talking about, and it clearly, obviously shows.

This has been the only Star Wars show that the first two episodes didn't lure me in and entice me to watch the rest, it actually was the other way around. It felt like a murder mystery that was already solved because it seemed a little obvious who the sith dude was. Now after watching these videos, I'm süper glad I didn't waste hours watching an absolute mockery of Star Wars

Qui Gon was also the first Jedi in centuries to be killed. That’s why after his death the council excepted the return of the Sith because only a Sith could cut down a Jedi master like that. But in this show Jedi are dying all over the place and no one seems to care.

Sith dude’s master is going to be the bald, green Jedi character. She uses a light saber whip and the guy has a massive scar on his back that is awfully whip-like in appearance. She’s also acting odd while checking out the dead Jedi and is the one keeping everything from the Council. She’s also banging the showrunner, so she’s gonna be the big bad. It’s all because of that scar and her weapon being an out of nowhere saber whip.

Well, it's not hard to see it, people have just been coping in denying. Heck, what does the show runner keep accusing the fans of when we criticize the series? "Oh, you're all a bunch of misogynistic and homophobic hateful bigots!" Guess who always does that to their critics? That's right, liberals. Kathleen Kennedy is an open feminist, wants to push forward the Force is female. Leslie Headland, and feminist, parrots that Star Wars needs more women in leadership roles, despite the franchise having already. Every single person involved in these projects makes it abundantly clear what their political alignments are, and they will tell you how they must inject that into Star Wars. So am I surprised the split in the fandom has a political angle? No, I'm surprised people at large didn't realize until now, apparently.

I want to know why nobody is blaming Kathleen Kennedy for any of this? Kevin Feige takes all the heat for Marvels failures, not Disney. Kennedy is the one approving this and sending it out.

Rarely used in legends, and for good reason because it is not very effective and more dangerous to the person using it than the enemy. There are a lot of weird ideas in the old EU but at least they respected the source material and Lucas.

Would these Writers be crazy enough to try and say something like “Qimir is actually Tenebrous” - or some such, using the extremely difficult (and evil) advanced Transfer Life Essence force power, to move into another body ? Like, at the end of the show we’d see him shift into the body of a Bith (what Tenebrous is most commonly known as) ? I can almost see them having that be the explanation of “it was a VERY long time ago..”, by Qimir - since Tenebrous was said to have been the Dark Lord for over 100 years. I would hope not - but you almost can’t put anything out of the realm of possibility with these Writing teams / directors 🫣

He’s making Star Wars rethink all there ideas knowing he has all Star Wars audiences in the palm of his hand

Rings of Power made me mad. Bobba disappointed me, obi wan shook me in a bad way, mando s3 disappointed me... ahsoka made me start to lose hope . then acolyte made me mad the same way RoP did. This show and the Headland are absolutely nauseating. Guess things just aren't gonna be good for awhile guys :/

This episode was just ok, not wanna pretend everything about it was bad, it was just fine, nothing much happened. The sexual stuff is off putting. I didn’t cared much for the other character except sol and qimir. Even if I don’t like the twins, I’m kinda interested with their dynamic with sol and qimir. And that’s pretty much it

I don’t know why they just don’t admit they fucked up and change the character to be one of his species instead of actually Ki-Adi-Mundi and have him killed off. They need to change the setting to like 500 years before Phantom and say this is somehow covered up so the current Jedi council has no clue it happened.That’s the only way they can fix this imo

This show is a clusterfuck. I'll start with this: imagine going to work one day and realizing 8 or 10 of the people in your company are MIA. Don't you think management is going to hear about it? Investigate? The High Council should be all over this. And don't tell they don't know because they've "not been told". THEY ALL LIVE IN THE SAME PLACE! There is no Canon anymore. Canon is what Pablo Hidalgo and his cronies say it is. He went to modify TIE fighters because of the moronic, stupid, inane insertion of "light speed skipping" in TROP. TIE fighters, with VERY few exceptions, were ships that in order to be agile and deadly on the attack HAD NO SHIELDS OR HYPERDRIVE. "Light speed skipping" was one of the worst offences done to SW lore, because it renders the WHOLE PLOT AT THE BEGINNING OF "TESB" POINTLESS. Think about that one... Now he did the same with Ki Adi Mundi. And I have an advice for you all: keep your physical copies, because one day they WILL change the original movies to conform to their ideas... I can imagine them replacing Ki's line in "ROTS" in ADR with "the Sith have been extinct for a century"... I can't understand character motivations. Especially the protagonist's. It's like a page out of the other clusterfuck that was Kylo Ren. One day... scrap that: one HOUR I'm good, next hour I'm bad... then repeat ad infinitum. I was watching this but I'm tired. I won't watch anymore. I already know the gist: Jedi are bad and flawed, Sith are not has bad as people make them out to be. And there's really no Good or Evil, even if that WAS THE WHOLE PREMISE of the first (and only) 6 films. Fuck this show.

Does this mean that Luke's mom went through "The Power of 1, 2, Many" (One too many) ritual as well?
