Hey guys, I live in Madeira. That is not Caniçal, Caniçal is the poster and opening scene on the first episode. That place is in the north side of the island an area called Ribeira da Janela near São Vicente, you can see that because of the colour of the rocks, they are greying while the area of caniçal they are more brownish

I could be wrong but Qimir didn’t specifically say cortosis was used in the youngling helmets, only that his helmet is similar in sensory deprivation.

If I tried to use a light-whip-saber, I'd probably end up scaring my own back... :)

Well, he was literally tapping the helmet when he said "Cortosis". Which made it seem like he was talking about the helmet being made of cortosis. Could be a misdirect. But kinda a clumsy one, if it is. From a writing standpoint, I mean.

Qumir’s helmet is made of cortosis. The wearer of the helmet cannot see, the same way the Jedi training helmets also prevent the use of their vision

There’s no connection in the narrative, it’s simply a possibility that the training helmets MIGHT be made of the same material since it would offer a beginner in lightsaber combat some protection.

If Vernestra was his master, it would make sense why he said he was a Jedi a really long long time ago. Maybe he was a Jedi when Sol was a youngling

I thought for sure you'd mention the performance Lee Jung-jae gave. Watch his face. When Sol loses control for a moment, you can visually see him re-center himself, and drive out his emotions. He's a Jedi, after all.

For #7, I think Sol's grief to his team suddenly came out when he said, "There's been a...". Jedi is not allowed to be too emotional. He had to say something made him less emotional.

i wonder if the cortosis lining the cave/mine that Qimir lives in protects him from being found. the cortosis would block any force detection going in and block Qimir's force from emitting out.

Interesting that Qimir had just cleaned and dressed Osha's wound, and you seemed to think the "lotions" {in OPAQUE bottles} were for something else.....

The fact that this videos is basically just as long as the actual episode is honestly my biggest complaint about star wars. I just watched a whole hour episode of the boys right before watching the acolyte, and I just feel like all the star wars shows just end to quickly

would it make sense Qimir was trained by the Witches? he just seems way too skilled to learn all that on his own…

It's in the Star wars visual dictionary that the lightsabers the younglings have r low intensity so they don't cause severe injury

the cortosis being welded is an interesting point because we’ve seen in the thrawn books (the cannon ones) that they also absorb blaster bolts so we can assume it’s not just kyber. my thought is that there was some sort of solder used we didn’t see and that those cracks then would then become weak points unless the metal was either melted down or reforged.

also the note about the younglings helmets i don’t believe he was eluding that the younglings helmets were cortosis as much and he meant that it deprived the user of their vision thus making them reliant of the force to guide them.

I mean... I think lack of Sith butt was a missed opportunity. That being said, I was wondering if they were on Achtoo. The location was gorgeous though. Also, Bazil's antics were hilarious. Animals in the same order or even family or genus can be very different size wise.
