So his helmet and the stuff on his arm are made of Cortosis, its a brittle metal that disrupts lightsabers and blaster bolts

15:25 Isn't that by design? This series isn't episodic, but a movie cut up into 8 chapters; we need to see the whole picture to make sense of it all. This isn't the ideal format for reaction videos, I suppose, but this is the format Disney went with. I'm not mad at it. Why did Qimir's ability to heal Osha through the force surprise you? Palpatine told us in Revenge of the Sith, via his talk with Anakin at the opera, that his master, Darth Plagueis, could prevent those he cared about from dying; he also told us that his master was the only one who knew how to cheat death. This story has made very strong links to Palpatine and much of that happened in the second episode. Mae and Osha's origin is the very same technique Darth Plagueis used to create Anakin. The words Mother Aniseya used to describe the words are the exact same words Palpatine used to describe the Sith and the Dark Side of the Force--Sith very likely come from a line of witches! The second episode teased how the Jedi screwed many cultures/religions throughout the Star Wars galaxy with their union with the Galactic Senate. The Jedi helped the Senate craft legislation that made it illegal for non-Jedi to practice the Force. The Senate gave the Jedi status in the Republic and used the Jedi to settle legal matters that they themselves couldn't settle, a practice we see used through the prequels. The Jedi and Senate's union was reciprocal; the Jedi had control of the Force and the Senate had control over the Jedi. The Jedi failed to see through their hubris that they were creating their own enemies that would eventually plot against them and the Galactic Republic, which of course they did. The Witches of Brendok were refuges of numerous species. They were hunted and persecuted because they weren't Jedi and wouldn't abandon their culture, the thread. We could see their disdain for the Jedi in their words and actions. Even so, Mother Aniseya did her best to keep talks cordial with the Jedi when they intruded on their ceremony. She allowed the Jedi to do what they came to do with little resistance. While she didn't like the outcome, she was still open to Osha choosing a different path. We don't have a full picture of what really happened, but the story has given us enough information to know that there was a third, unseen player manipulating events. 1) Mother Koril in the forest looked frightened when she escorted Mae and Osha back to the compound? Was she frightened by the Jedi or someone else? She sounded angered by the Jedi's presence when talking to Mother Aniseya in private, not scared. Brendok was a haven for witches. Were there other factions of witches on Brendok, elsewhere? 2) Osha received a Force Vision explaining that Mae had survived and was responsible for the deaths of Master Indara. And we know from Mae's interaction with Osha that she didn't send that vision, so who did? Palpatine sent Anakin premonitions that pushed him over the edge and to his side, surely that is something he learned from his master. Might that be at work here too? 3) Qimir told us that his master picks up people when talking to Mae, so the Stranger WAS on Brendok! Qimir's story supports what the Witches of Brendok told us, that the Jedi's laws made it difficult for other Force users to exist and grow. It was only a matter of time before non-Jedi reached a breaking point and kicked things off. Qimir, apparently, is the first to do it. The Jedi did what they did because they fought a war with the Sith millennia ago. The galaxy was embroiled in seemingly endless wars, and billions if not trillions died, so I can see why the Jedi would want to put a stop to people using the Force, but their overhanded approach brought about something much worse, the Galactic Empire and total subjugation of the Galaxy. Master Vernestra's role in all this makes sense too. She's a Jedi realist who believes in what the Jedi have done. She wants to keep what's happened close to the vest because the Jedi are already on shaky ground. We don't know who the Jedi's political enemies are, but it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that a good number of them are people in the Inner Rim who had the Force taken from. Taking the Jedi down would mean the reinstatement of their own usage of it. Master Vernestra likely sees this as the return of the Sith and their warmongering nature. For all we know, the Jedi do not yet know of the Rule of Two, but that doesn't matter, as they fear the past, and are trying to prevent that from returning. The Sith have planned for something much worse though. Why did Darth Plagueis create Anakin? I suspect the answer is in the Witches of Brendok's mantra as well as Mae's and Osha's. Anakin was as powerful as he was because he didn't possess the power of one or two Jedi, but the power of many! Darth Plagueis didn't give Shmi a child because he wanted to give the slave someone to care for, no. He likely chose Shmi because no one cares about slaves. Shmi was just a caregiver, the person producing an unborn child that was supposed to be Darth Plagueis' new skin. That of course never happened, since Palpatine killed his master. Palpatine likely did it the night the transfer was supposed to happen, while his master's guard was down. The Prequels show us that Plapatine's goal has always been to find the secrets of cheating death, something we see continued in the newer trilogies. Palpatine didn't know how to recreate life through the Force, which explains why he put so much effort into Kamino's science, his only option was to ad-hoc his way to everlasting life. Still, I think we're missing a story between Return of the Jedi and the Force Awakens, as it does appear that Palpatine DID figure out to create life through the Force, Rey! Rey is Anakin 2.0. The vision she saw of herself as a Sith warrior likely wasn't her, but Palpatine in her skin. Cloning didn't work for Palpatine, so he opted to convert Ben Solo to the Dark Side in hopes of transferring his essence into Ben, but that didn't work, as Ben held on to a glimmer of hope. Palpatine propositioned to give Rey all his power and knowledge and all she had to do was accept his verbal contract. Had she done so, she would have received much more than his power, as he was primed to send himself into her body and rid himself of his failed clone of a body. Palpatine wanted to continue to Sith's vision, eternal rule.
