The book has been in a lot of recent videos.

Richie, I love the Vanguard label, they have so many excellent releases. They felt like a major label, but acted like a smaller label. My cd reissue of Serpent Power contains the David and Tina album,'' Poet Song" from 1969 also on Vanguard. The song, ''Pure White Place'' is as good as any song from ''Serpent Power''.

Vanguard was a great label.

The Other Half is another band on Acta Records. What a great album. Hippie DJ Kit has stated that "Over The Rainbow" is the first psychedelic song ever written.

I have an original Circuit Rider in superb shape, I found at a secondhand store years ago for a quarter. Great album. Love the Billy Bad Billy song.

An original Circuit Rider is a great find.

All great picks, have em all except Serpent Power which I've still never actually heard. Circuit Rider and Tea Company rank in my top 100 psych rundown.

Serpent Power is a decent US 60’s psych albums.

Hippie Weird vs Square Weird lol. Pretty funny. By the time I get my collection back all the records will have been shown. Ouch on one ratings. Pretty funny some of the write ups.

I have a reissue of the ID album, it has a second LP with outtakes and demos, which isn't all that great, but the original album is pretty enjoyable. Neighb'rhood Childr'n is one I need to get, great album. The Tea Company is on my want list. I saw the Acid Archives book listed on Ebay for $125, it cost more than some of the albums featured in the book!

A nice starter pack here for those unfamiliar with the Archives. Dave is the middle wanker. The couple released another on Vanguard, "Poet Song" which is decent too. I don't mind going down the tunnneelll.... I haven't listened to Circuit Rider since then, to be honest. 😄 It just didn't hit me or leave much of an impression.

Yeah, some of the reviews in Acid Archives are somewhat off base for me also. Generally, I agree with them though.

I also generally agree with the write ups in the Acid Archives. I know a lot of people consider a lot of 60’s Psych to be gimmicky and over indulgent. Personally I love that stuff. I definitely like the Tea Company more than the write up in the book.
